Moonbreon’s a beautiful card, but without the amount of eyes/demand on it, it’s just another chase card that will go down in price. The population also doesn’t help it. Literally over 10k+ PSA 10’s😂
What's keeping Moonbreon going is we haven't Scarlet and Violet release that hard to pull banger yet, which you have been touching on lately. Moonbreon's demand is unsustainable unless the hobby continues to grow. Like you said the trajectory for the Latios/Latias card is a way safer bet because it doesn't need nearly as much demand to continue to climb. Great vid as always.
The moonbreon will increase organically. Imagine how many kids want that card now who can’t afford it? Or people just getting into the hobby that couldn’t pull it for retail and are currently planning to acquire? Everyone who’s currently in the hobby and can afford to buy is what’s keeping the price up. Give it time.. it will indeed creep up. Base set Charizard 1st edition was 1 in every 3 boxes. There’s millions of them and even a PSA 1 is worth quite a bit. There’s probably 50,000 moonbreon in circulation. Not that many.. it may not be condition rare however it is rare based on quantity vs demand. The demand just can’t afford to buy one yet because a majority of them are 5-15 years old and have no money to buy one.
@@GemCollector4284 I agree, that’s the saving grace for the card in terms of longevity, is the return of younger collectors who always admired having one. Beyond that, it’s just another beautiful, huge chase
I personally think Giratina from lost origin is better but I am a shinji kanda fanboy. I think it being from the best set of S&S coupled with how difficult the pull rates are in evolving cries, makes it above others like Giratina and Gengar. Most likely some Japanese wifu card like iono will reach moonbreon prices.
@@DamaCollectsCards I didn't know that. I think in time other cards like Gengar, Blaziken and Giratina will rise as moonbreon levels out, hopefully. I think it's an overhyped card tbh. Getting over priced because sealed Evo skies is so darn expensive.
People didnt realise how cheap Latios/Latias Alt Art was before haha cause they fell for the "i now suddenly love that card" cycle. Hype is just a double edged sword and in general the sleeper era/cards have a better chance to perform better long term.
Card was like $50 and within like a week was selling for over $220. Even now, average sales are $550+, most recent $595, so probably $630+ after tax/fees? So equal to the moonbreon, and it’s value in a 10 is near double moonbreons😳
