Watching this in 2020, I can't recall what mass shooting atrocity happened back when this aired, but I *can* say the best thing to come out of Covid-19 is the drop in mass shootings
Thank you for releasing this sketch, the country needs to see this. It's too bad that its release was delayed to begin with. Satire about sensitive issues is needed, for I've always found the most relevant, distilled truth to be satire.
You have to admire how risky this sketch is. It's funny, but at the same time you can see just how complex and unusual these situations have become. No explanation, no justification, and no good reasoning. Just random bloodshed, and everyone alike is mutually confused by it. Thanks for doing this sketch, and I hope comedy keeps doing its things: some relief to situations, while also stirring up dicussion about issues.
For some apparent wrong reason, I expected someone to come into the class with a gun. Or thought he would pull a gun out himself when he was getting up. I'm glad it didn't happen.
@ Nobody said immigrants are saints. What he/she meant was foreigners in general doesn't have any fetish towards guns like Americans do. Even the soldiers here in the third world country where I live in hunt animals in the jungles with nothing more than a spear and a torchlight. He said guns are too dangerous. and in the jungle, it's possible to shoot and accidentally kill someone else. He only uses guns to kill wild boars.
Hahaha "they have rules I can understand" bit was fking brilliant👌😂😂😂😂. On a serious note though, R.I.P to all the victims of this horrible tragedy. Hope Americans learn from this and do something about it.
I love this channel. I'm an American living in Spain and have been here for a very very long time. I'm also a teacher and this very subject comes up a lot in my adult classes. They all have that confused look on their faces just like the protagonist here.
Nope. That's the narrative that the media came up with after the Columbine shooting. This was false for Columbine, and the evidence is limited for other shootings too. Psychologists do not currently have a common profile for school shooters, but the ones that have been studied were driven by a complex web of factors, not just a singular drive for revenge against a concrete target.
Lmao as if that makes it more tolerable. Students get bullied in every part of the world, for some reason school shootings are just romanticized in America as a "way out".
There’s ways of killing tho, like you could go method-man on em and torcher them for weeks or just end it quick/quicker, like the nice white kids of America be doing, killing is like autism, there’a a spectrum.
3 years later and this video still applies. This sketch will remain timeless until parents can. start raising their children with responsibility, constructive discipline and love.
That's not the problem. Parents in other countries raise their children without responsibility, nor constructive discipline, sometimes even without love, and still they have no mass shootings.
Probably because values and morality are not being taught and emphasized in schools in America anymore. Asian countries are specific about teaching everyone their significant role in society and their necessary contribution. It is also common practice to respect elders and take care of them out of gratitude. I feel like that's what's lacking in the West. You're encouraged to leave the house at 18 and it creates a disconnect between the parent and the child. I understand the independence part of it but your child does not stop being your child even at 45. My point being that children are left to fend off for themselves and that breaks the foundation of trust.
She left off the urban nightclubs, inner city schools and parking lots, urban apartment hosing areas, inner city convenience stores and gas stations... all of the places that are 10's of 1000's of odds more likely is a deadly shooting from 1 to 8 to happen than the places she named. The female's character gives one of the greatest example of black privilege in the media etworks today. Way to go Comedy Central!
I'll be real for a moment: Don't assume that a school shooter doesn't want anything, or just a date or simplify it to "being lonely. There's a very strong motive behind everything and if we ignore it we'll have more of the same problems.
Idk. i get what your saying. Their must be something they want. But i feel that mainly derives off attention. Most of the shooters found have no correlation to any gang related activity. Their an every day person who suddenly wanted "a date" or really acknowledgment for some very selfish and crude reason. Of course theirs a strong motive, but theirs also some mental illness of anyone willing to pick up a gun and light up a whole area strictly based off feeling sad and wanting attention. Life is not perfect for most people, that's no reason to respect their motives or not call them crazy. We shouldn't glorify nor baby people being very stupid and completely inconsiderate to human life. This is just my take on your comment so far. I realize i'm posting on the internet and even worse youtube so i will probably get a lot of trolls on here if this comment is seen at all. But i'm always open to a healthy debate.

Kids break into houses and steal because they're bored. They beat strangers up on the streets because they're bored or on drugs or were dared to by their peers. Weird AF.
WOW talk about timing, thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing this today. 😢😢😢😢

Watching this in 2020, I can't recall what mass shooting atrocity happened back when this aired, but I *can* say the best thing to come out of Covid-19 is the drop in mass shootings
So it takes an epidemic to stop you idiots from shooting each other. Man, U.S. is the worst place on earth.

They're immigrants they have no irrational need to own a gun.

What he/she meant was foreigners in general doesn't have any fetish towards guns like Americans do.

I love this channel. I'm an American living in Spain and have been here for a very very long time. I'm also a teacher and this very subject comes up a lot in my adult classes. They all have that confused look on their faces just like the protagonist here.
I thought school shootings were usually a result of bullying and the kid wanted revenge?
Even if that was true it’s a shitty excuse lmao
Lmao as if that makes it more tolerable. Students get bullied in every part of the world, for some reason school shootings are just romanticized in America as a "way out".

@@chopstickthrower930 first of all i hate the fact that you mentioned your concern for posting a formulated opinion in fear of being bombarded by trolls... We should be able to have civil discussions on UA-cam but its unfortunate that thats not the cause,
Now i strongly disagree with your conclusions because what experts like (Jordan Peterson) tell us, which i believe is the actual and accurate reason behind such horrible actions, so i strongly urge you to see what he and other psychologists say about mass shootings and suicide (because they are more related than you might think).

Yeah, but in my country, senseless acts of violence don't involve 10+ casualties in a public place or schools every month.

@@chimkinNuggz More scare words to steer people like you around. Mass shooting, minimum of 4 ppl shot, don't have to die, including the shooter, or any shot by police on scene. Any other definition of anything labeled MASS would not be like this. This is a term made to scare society and be used to manipulate you. 16 People shot and killed, in same category as 4 people shot including shooter, with no deaths. BOTH, MASS SHOOTINGS.
Rob a bank, shoot 2 guards, cops show up, shoot a cop, cop shoots robbber. No one dies, MASS SHOOTING.
Using the word MASS is just there to sound scary.
@@spaminacan100 That is the point, for the rest of the world an incident where 4 people got shot is horrifying senseless violence, that doesn't happen in most countries. For example, here [Chile] we have had a lot of violence lately because we are in the middle of a social/constitutional crisis and the country is still orders of magnitude safer than the US. You talk about banks being robbed as it's something that happens frequently and that is not the case for the rest of the world either. It's much safer to be here in Chile than it is in Muh'rica.
