Diesel is very good in altroz. Also the clutch is too light in diesel like petrol. If you drive majorly in the City please be aware of DPF issues. The diesel has good fuel efficiency and is fun to drive. Diesel has a throaty sound (kind of sporty) which you can hear above 2000rpm. I also purchased an altroz diesel without a test drive since, I could only get my hands on a petrol test drive car . I am loving the car. I have completed 5 thousand kilometres in less than 80 days of purchase. That is how much I like to drive this car.

@@sidhusomvanshi5315 not even a single instance of DPF issues on my altroz till date. I majorly run my car on highways. For every 5kms in the City I drive my car for 20kms on Highway due to my work travel, so I don't have any DPF issues. I faced a few DPF issues on my 2021 BS6 ecosport immediately after purchase but Ford initiated a recall and changed catalytic converter and since then I haven't faced any DPF issue on that car as well. All I can say is don't lug the engine by changing gears very early like in BS4 diesels. Change the gears above 1700 rpm minimum and also avoid short city drives of less than 5kms as much as possible since, optimum heat is not obtained by the engine and this causes DPF issues. Always drive the car till the engine has reached it's optimum temperature and drive as much as possible on highways or free flowing traffic roads in City to stay away from DPF issues.

I hate these type of door locks. Not safe for kids. Tata should provide child lock button on driver door. Or change this system. I cancelled my tata punch booking only for this reason

Now, my dilemma is should I go for Altroz diesel or wait for Racer edition or go for iTurbo?

@@harshavardhan8022 altroz racer comes with 6 speed gearbox where as current altroz petrol and diesel come with 5 speed gearbox. The overall feel of diesel is very good. If your running is less and mostly in the City please choose petrol. If you have high running and take the car on highways then choose diesel. No matter what you choose (diesel or petrol) please wait a few months since, the infotainment and speedo meter are being updated to new and better ones in the next few months as shown in altroz racer edition.
