- Thank you Achim for letting me have a go in your new RS3! The car was really nice to drive. There was of course still some understeer, but that had more to do with the tyres that were on the car. And the emergency systems switching back on on heavy braking was a bit inconvenient. For the rest it's nice that the car does not upshift by itself like the predecessors (or the current Golf GTI/Cupra/S3).

The owner chose a fantastic colour 👍
Agreed the only colour to get, not a fan of the black pack though , quite like the traditional aluminum trim of RSs
They look good in white too, I seen one last week here in Perth oz
I chose the same color and ceramic brakes, in 3 months the "beast" will arrive
The new yellow/lime colour is also superb

If you don't know if turned off assists will still kick in, the fuse is the answer.
Dangerous if a driver like Mischa knows what he's doing, assist kicking in could be very counterproductive on the limit.

And I hate seeing that notification for pre-sense or pre-collision nonsense pop up every 5 seconds.

@@PapiAndreyyou can deactivate Audi pre sens. I also deaktivate the road radio for the news. So it never pops up again

@@mgcharoudin My dad just picked up his 8Y RS3 just a few days ago and one of the first things I asked was "Is there pumped in audio?" the salesman said none at all. Unless hes lieing his ass of, and ive driven the car but it does not sound pumped in.
Nice to "hear" of the improvements on a great car.
I hope that you get another chance in an RS3 8Y with the Pirelli Trofeo R's, carbon ceramics and maybe in the dynamic mode to let the rear break out a little more, to extract all the potential. Loved this video.

You can see Frank Stippler (Record Lap of RS3 on Nordschleife) switch to dynamic 2 minutes into his lap handling was noticeably improved
That car definetly need an aftermarket exhaust , speaker sound is boring.
I hate that the rev counter goes backwards.
Who makes these decisions ?
You have the choice actually! There are a view options to display your rev counter. When it comes to Visualisation of the infotainment and customisation of the instrument cluster Audi is king.
There are 3 design options for the virtual cockpit which can be chosen in the MMI.
This one is by FAR the worst.

@@mnoovurvi both... if you want to, ur screen can change as soon as you are going into RS mode. But you got a few options on the layout that is shown then. Besides of that you even have different options on the "normal" graphics. But tbh. he has chosen the worst setting during that video😂

When you just look at the Fuel Gauge you went 180 Kilometers on that BTG lap :-D - Entertaining Video!
Not too much of a fan of the latest Audi's at the minute but I quite like the spec on this one. Apart from the annoying interruptions from the car, it was a pretty good lap. The owner seemed to be enjoying the lap too.

Looks like this car has a really nice handling balance, it hauled serious ass in those corners.
The Oil Temperature is normal for the newer Enginges. Back on the days i had an Leon Cupra 2019 with OPF the Oil Temperature was arround 120 with normal Drive in the City
I have Cupra 280 ST and never had more than 110 in hottest days behind the cars. On track this is diffefent story :) 120-130 after 2laps on 5km track.
Audi pre sense automatically brakes hard when it detects collision. Can disable in settings.
I really should get my car 100% so I can maybe also convince Misha to do a lap with me once. He's got a lot better choices, but who knows :) I really put him way up there, as far as driving is concerned - very rarely, only with well known pro drivers like Walter or Marc (Basseng), do I get the impression of someone driving as smoothly while also insanely fast.

Nice engine noise - real or artificial?
I would be corious to see one of this in tuning mode, suspension, tyres, brakes, interior delete, etc.
It seems like after 413 activations of the Audi pre sense, the car starts scolding you in German -- or whatever was going on at 5:10. Likely the radio.
Nice drive, nice car, generous owner for letting you drive a pretty new car, but what a stupid rev counter.
Well done Misha, as an act of submission and total humiliation of the BMW driver 6:56, he actually used his indicators and moved aside! :P
Oh that classic angry growl of an I-5 Audi. Music to one's ears. Now I miss my 1990 200 quattro. Couldn't kill that engine even when boost was increased.
With regards to the neutral handling there's "RS Torque Rear" which will give you more rear bias and oversteer

Fast little wagon, I'd definitely leave the engine alone(except maybe get an ABT software upgrade) but get a better suspension setup, better brake pads and tires
I wish more Americans would buy hatches. I'd buy a hatch RS3 in a heartbeat.

They don't offer them here unfortunately or people would.
The sedan is actually a bit faster cause of better aerodynamics If I remember it correctly. Not sure about looks.. I think the sedan is way nicer when it comes to S3, and RS3, but on normal A3, they need the sports chassi to look good, otherwise its a huge gap in the wheel arches :)
It's so unfortunate that they managed to kill the 5 cylinder sound. It sounds completely fake inside the cabin

I own one, sounds just fine. Watching it on UA-cam is not the same as being inside the actual car.
at least we still have that 5 cylinder to modify, not that shitty 4 cylinders

Being a road tester myself!don’t you feel the suspensions is a little soft…Compared to an TTRS which is much more confidence inspired.
It's soft'ish, yes. But I just drove the G42 M240 before that which is a direct competitor and that was muuuuuuch softer.
With the adaptive suspension you can reduce / change this but I guess it's better to keep the "balanced" mode for the Nürburgring

The RS3 is nice. But the G87 M2 will be a Monster on track.
But if you have bad weahter, wich is most of the time, rs 3 will always be faster. I ordered mine and you got 4 doors

119 degrees? No problem if it does not go higher than that, cooks out the moisture.
Where do you see the oil temp?

Anything under 130 is fine for on the track, above that you'd need to be more careful

Misha is not used to brakes in that thing) should be in dynamic mode, and you can accelerate even earlier in some corners. To turn off stupid assists, pull out the fuse. HGP is making some very cool stuff for that car too

610km range at the start and then 420 ;) after one lap... :P i wonder how fast it will be after some mods 550hp-600hp + better tires and maybe some coilovers + upgraded brakes
With this RS3 we had a fuel consumption on the track of about 45 Liters for 100KM.

125 for the oil is hot! Not much chance of multiple laps in a stock RS3 unless you like rebuilding engines
It's hot but not a reason to panics. Over 135 would be worrying

You should find a mk3 TTRS to take around the track
It's not as fast. Remember, this is a 2021 model and the TTRS is an older model. I owned a 2017 TTRS and now have the new RS3, which is way better to drive, faster, better tech, brakes, etc. Shame they didn't do a mk4 TTRS with the new RS3 set up... but they didn't.
