"Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. Understeer is when the driver is scared"
Jens is a gigachad, lmao
But its almoust from Röhrl😉
No protection bars ez
It's true!!!
ya man, or park?? Randomly going into park would be a nightmare ride home.
Sometimes it's scary to realize what your car can actually do
yeah. knowing how my mom drives im a lil scared for her sometimes in her corolla lol. that thing can move
@@observantmonkey4055 people sleep on Corollas. They’re commuters so they always have like super low end tq, but the 2019 Corolla S with paddles can rev it out and start moving
@@pitsa9838 remember the Initial D car is a Corolla XD
Yeah Misha driving my Forester STI was kinda shocking. He actually drove the same speeds as he was doing with this RS7 if I compare some points on the track which is crazy to me :)
💯
Dude probably had an higher heartrate than Misha all lap. Can't blame him knowing the price and likely emotional price of this RS7. But if you've asked Misha, you might think you'd trust him driving haha
Car feels 2x faster when you're in passenger seat 🙂
Probably? Dude almost died 😆
In the next video.... Passenger has heart attack while driving slow on nurburgring 😂👌🏼
Indeed, he might had been worried about the gearbox. Not Misha
i dont think so he scared because of Totaling RS7
I totally sympathise with the guy. First time I was on a track with a professional it was in a nothing more than a standard 330i with three other guys in the car and I was still absolutely terrified. It's a system shock for the uninitiated.
Yes ... since then I know they were not joking on Top Gear with The Stig being a tamed race car driver. Because they really are savages, lol.
@@stoneeh Was driven around in a 720s. I was not as stressed as pictured here. Guess I had more confidence in the car: nearly half the weight and lower to the ground. I also wouldn´t feel well with 2,5 tons floating around that track.
@@MrThrustSSC I can see this definitely being the case because in my 3300 lbs car i feel very safe on the track but I've also been in a Durango hellcat around the same track and thought i was going to die
I went to a Porsche Experience this fall, and took a ride in a Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S driven by one of their professionals. Safe to save I was pleasantly surprised by what that huge car was actually capable of.
The grip levels are beyond imagination in a great car but the braking force is what gets you
Imagine what would happen if the gearbox really suddenly decided to switch to reverse
I guess it would not make it back in flawless condition
Remember, R stands for racing, everything would be fine!
Instant spin. Happened too many times in assetto corsa lol. Surprisingly controllable with experience
Not sure it would even be possible irl though
It won't it have protections.
If the gearbox is really bad about its sensors and everything and really tries to switch to reverse probably it would break something but the driver would only feel the scary noise and be like going to neutral.
Easy to laugh at his reaction but most people have never been in a 600hp car let alone being driven by Misha on the Ring! Excellent video as always!
600hp @ 2,5 tons. Equates to about 300 hp @ hatchback weight :)
@@stoneeh it doesn't work like that. This car with all its weight will trample almost all hot hatches in everything, including lap times (maybe aside from tracks with many tight corners).
Also, hammering a 600HP 2.2-ton car on a track is much scarier than a hot hatch.
@@stoneeh jesus lord have i just read this 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This car is the passangers lol.
@@stoneeh I had a 300hp Leon Cupra and even the previous gen 560hp RS6 would absolutely munch it straight lines as if the Cupra wasn't moving
Jens is a freaking legend. He handled it pretty good for someone that was about to put a steamer in his pants. 🤣
I really enjoyed the way you interacted with the passenger in this one Misha. Your driving as always is on point but you kept this in car atmosphere lovely and calm. Excellent
Thank you!
About time we saw you round the ring, Ashley!!!
@@sanmiguel4019yeah misha and ashley would be a cool crossover tbh
Wasn't expecting Ashley here.. would love to see you two drive
For Misha: Chilled lap.
For Jens: 20km of code brown.
that gearbox is toast. I've driven many RS6 / RS7 and none of them had that issue.
Yeah these rockets are solid usually but this is just a production fault. That one has to be replaced under warranty but I assume his dealer started replacing small components first to see if it eliminates the issue. Well they are right to think about small things first, but either TCU or whole gearbox is faulty. Only one way to find out and thats only if the owner insists into replacing these to get it fixed. Because these beasts build to get thrown in corners and pushed to limits. Hope the owner can get it sorted soon. Nice car regardless!
I've spoken to dozens of RS6 / RS7 owners and this is the first time I've ever heard about a transmission issue! Interesting.
@@berkebulur7625 yeah, looks like a TCU issue. Before arriving at Breidscheid (from 5:00) , where Misha changes into 3rd, the display still shows that they were in 2nd. When he then changed into 4th, the display quickly shows 3rd before changing to the correct gear, the 4th.
Seems like the TCU needs some time to realize which gear it's in.
@@B0B_BELCHER very good point!
yeah weird ive had my rs7 c8 for last 18 months with stage 2+ tune 815bhp and gearbox has been mapped and perfect.
That guy was nervous, thank god it didn't go into reverse mid bend, lol. Terrific driving as always Misha!
even if it engagas Reverse, the car will be in neutral until it drops the speed to under 10km/h.
@@timedestroyer92 would it though? i don't know how exactly it works, and whether it could physically get reverse to engage at speed, but what if due to a failure it doesn't know that it's not doing under 10 kph?
@@zloychechen5150 yep theres videos on here that show what happens when reverse is selected at high speed. Me personally have tried to engage Reverse while going about 20km/h… the reverse lights do light up but the car is in neutral until the vehicle is under 6-8 km/h. Same with electonic hand brake, if you are doing above 20 km/h, you have to keep pulling the brake button and the car slows down slowly the same as like u are pressing the brake pedal.
@@zloychechen5150 theres mechanical and electronic sensor around the whole car and the automatic gearbox that always know the exact speed in order to prevent such a scenario. If the car suddenly ‘dies’ and it is going at high speed and is able to engage reverse, that would a trillion dollar mistake because it would mean that all automatic gearbox cars can act the same.
@@zloychechen5150 That sort of failure would be immediately obvious and provide numerous warning messages on the dashboard.
His wife in the back seat was way more relaxed, she was even having fun!
Yellow, my savior, great news 🙂
Wow, I didn't notice his wife in the back until I saw your comment, lol
Surprised how well the stock RS7 seems to be handling the track. Likeable owner as well.
With 3 passengers
You can name that lap as "looking for the yellow" ;) Now his Audi dealer have reasons to repair ASAP the gearbox issues if they don't want a lot of viewers really upset about a 100k+ € car, almost brand new, with that really expensive issue.
They luckily did!
@@mgcharoudin They also could have said that there is no warranty because of track usage. P.S. Deine Videos sind toll!
I wonder if that applies to the nurburgring since it's technically a public road
What a trooper 👏 looked scared the entire run 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what Misha does best!!! Time off his life
He is probably not scared, maybe a tad but it's the G loads that will take a toll on an unfit person. Just saying, G's will take your breath away and put massive amount of weight on your body compressing you. You can hear him grunting, those are small amounts of G loads.
@@JuergenGDB misha drove my car this year 🙌 I was gutted my car suffered from heat soak that alot of tuned cars did. However the section he did send it I was pretty much the same as the guy in the video 🤣🤣
@@mario978 Our video still to be published :)
@@mgcharoudin all sorted now with oil cooler. Next year we go again with a few more handling upgrades.
This is so fun to see such a large variety of different cars and car owners on a lap having an experience! These videos are great! :))
Awesome video, loved seeing the RS7 go around. The brakes are something I could look at for hours. It really is a shame when these “newer” cars have issues like this one did. I’ve already had to lemon a car of mine for gearbox issues as well 😅.
When you think you have a fast car and think you are a race driver. then Micha drives your car.
Not sure what’s it’s called in Audi term but could be the TCM (Transmission Control Module) at fault. Maybe a re-flash or replace would help sort it out. Thx for another excellent driving from Misha and the owner for sharing this great video! ❤
Misha always having the tyre pressures on display now.
It was super cool to see how they changed during the lap
@@loquek yeah tbh never knew the temp of the outside tire could go up a couple degrees in a single fast corner that was cool to see
It is so engaging how Misha drives in total chill, brakes early, being subtle in the corners, while the owner is in big time shitting in pants mode. Plus he's giving instrunctions like watch out for the ABS at the jump :D
Lol yeah some people are nervous passengers, they don't understand the limit of a car in many cases only because they don't have experience. Plus that car costs a pretty penny he's just scared it gets wrecked I'd say and lets face it the green hell is called that for a reason, the general public crash there regularly
The car didnt break.
The grunt he made at T-13 made me think he wasnt gonna make it through the lap without throwing up 😅
Misha... Start driving "better" so we can get that viral video of someone throwing up 😉
“She handles better than my nerves”
This line made me laugh! 🤣👍🏼
So good. Reminds me of a ring taxi ride with my parents. The gearbox stuff may be related to a steering wheel module or the "clock spring" not communicating shift commands via paddles. If the shift selector has gear change ability, id try that before blaming the gearbox. Hopefully the dealer has a test circuit out back!
I like the fact the ODO clicked over to 15,000kms as you were at 195 :)
That is my mum whenever I go 5kmph over the limit 😂
9:00 i like it when Misha says that his wife is way more relaxed, he says she has better nerves and she is like, Was denn ? Der fährt doch sehr sicher! What do you mean, he is driving very safe.
but nearly 130 degrees oil on a stock car and im pretty sure with something like a 0W30. uff
i really dont want to know, how the engine feels, when its chip tuned and going all out.
All these people in the comments flaming him for being scared or not knowing the capabilities of the car really upset me. He probably bought the car as a "Daily" and just wanted to enjoy a weekend of Nordschleife. Who are you to tell someone which car to buy? Or do I have to sit in my Tracktool on my way to work? Calm the F down...
Many thanks for this great lap. I love your Videos!!
He underestimated the drive(r) and car from the first second.
But he kept his humor, and let you do your thing, even with his fear, honorable.
P.S. The lady did not flinch at all :D
Great stuff Misha.
Mooi om ook een klein beetje Duits bij te leren via jouw video's :)
i love it , impressive machine over engineered, the poor gearbox i hope it gets better soon
😂 Thought he was gonna pass out. Least he got settled in a bit later. Excellent lap . Love these cars in forza. Excellent fun. ✌
This is so cool. The owner is definitely having some stress but I'm guessing he hadn't felt that alive in a very long time and was actually impressed with the ability of Misha as well as the car. Awesome video, thank you so much for sharing!
The wife in the back was having a blast 😀
Its sad that Audi has such a poor oil cooling system compared to bmw. My Friends old RS5 also had those gearbox issue… typical Audi thing i guess, and i used to be an Audi guy from childhood but when you grow up u start to look at things diffrent.
He now knows what his car can d, bless him being so scared and joyful at the same time
I love this. What a great car owner. Was his wife/partner just chilling back there?! What a boss!
Only mentioning after the start, sometimes it goes into R, wasnt a good idea on his part.
The fear was real though, you shortened that man's life with a couple of years. I'd have the same fear though, cannot blame him.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
I love the saying about oversteer being when the passenger is scared and understeer the driver scared. Will definitely repeat that!
I had a 2018 Audi S3 (Stock Power) and the gearbox would do a similar thing. It would be up to temperature etc. but sometimes it would either not change up when I was pushing on or completely slip into Neutral before sorting itself out. I had it from new, well looked after and had no more than 25km on the clock - strange! I know its a very different car, power and different gearbox but I had similar experiences. Great video as always Misha!!
Yeah the VW DSG stuff can be janky sometimes. It could be the DSG computer inside the block. Maybe it was overheated of shorted. Maybe worth the look
@@turkisch66fireworks I’ve not got the car anymore, so no worries. It wouldn’t happen often, it would be one of those things you would say “I’ll get that sorted soon” and then it wouldn’t happen again for ages and you forget until it does it again!
Great way to test the dealer repair work on the gear box
finally released the beast and moved what it was built for. 👍🏻
Misha thank you for translating! I appreciate it a lot lol
I'm happy that my rs6 doesn't have such a gearbox issues, been great 40k km so far
Mishas German was at least so good, that he could calm the poor old man down over the whole lap. Was fun to watch :-)
One of your best videos, awesome!
Great driving Misha, as usual.
Incorrect translation though:
Talking about the gearbox: "It has also had problems with not knowing which gear it is in and getting stuck in drive when you go to P or R but indicating that it is in the gear you want to be in." (meaning that it stays in Drive but tells you it is in P or R. Probably not while driving at high speed).
The gearbox seems to not notice when changing down manually so it tries to switch to a gear that it already thinks it is in
Look at the second carousel, Misha shifts into second, the car thinks it's in third and after not knowing what to do the car switches to 4th gear but shows it in the display way later
Misha I'm impressed with your german! Very cool car and video. Thanks for sharing all this great content dude!
It was really interesting to see how high the tyre pressures got
Throwing a 2 and half ton car
Around is quite difficult lol.
Great driving Misha, Jen's seemed
A little distracted by the speed.
He had no idea, his car was capable
of that. Most people don't. Nice1 👍
6:45 mad respect for lil bro, held him off for a bit there
Cool to see a kind of a german video! Scary that the car had such problems
Reminds me of my debut lap in my car around killarney, when i told the instructor to send it. I did not expect brown
DQ500, mechatronic is shot, and it probably damaged all sorts of internals now. Shift actuators and forks probably gone too. It needs a new gearbox.
"Fixing" the current one will only hide the symptoms. It has been damaged permanently.
6:09 That Suzuki Jimny / Samurai looks a bit slammed for what it was built for 😂. I own one myself and this is giving me some ideas 😁
Coolant temp goes to 128....damn its high for road car..... with no intervension on cooling system.... and gearbox is cooled with same cooling sistem..... Amazing
Thats odd. VAG gearboxes will shift up when they hit the rev limiter. This one seems to not do that. Most car people would love that feature.
awesome with the subtitles. Thanks
Ein Video auf Deutsch, sehr geil. Mega sympathisch der Herr!
Awesome drive, love the passengers and the little banter, seemed to have better grip then the old rs6. why is that so?
Wauw. What a dynamic car. this rs7 is really good. hardly heard any squealing tires. the stronic needs an update i think
nicely done handling the gearbox issue. what do people mostly use for cleaning the windscreen after a lap?
Good job, I never imagined the RS7 Doing that well!
Man sat in rs7 with probably one of the best drivers and he is worried 😂 I be letting u do your thing 😂
This is real emotions!
I didn't expect that misha speaks and understands German! Lol. Hilarious video and fun lap ngl. I should watch more of these 😂💙
Probably oil level isnt correct inside transmission. Thats why it takes air (going N) when cornering hard. ZF8HP70 normally doesnt have problems going in to N, only when oil is too low..
I like how he said watchout for the abs after the jump in the mini jump
Not a comment about the car 🧐
I admit I was biased too for the weight before testing the last generation of RS6 in a mountain pass.
Leaving alone the incredible amount of power and traction, I couldn’t believe how pleasant was that thing to drive around the corners
It's funny how for Misha it's just another day in the office but all of his passengers are screaming on the inside
remarkable, driving skill what do you think Compare with m5 or 63amg which one is better
Many angles, raw sound, massive driving.
Misha, for a heavy car, would you think it's a good purchase of a 2017 RS7?
Or should I go with a 2021 RS5?
I'm in serious doubt.
I had similar problems with my rs5 sport back. Sometimes when I was driving around 130kph it kicked down to third and was hitting the revlimiter
spoke with an Audi employee in 2019. said the A4 quatro suspension saved his life when driving 140kmh at night and an unknown water patch suddenly appeared. any other car would have slipped and went flying into the abyss. .
125Grad Oel Tempr. Die Gleitlager Werden gut eingefahren. Was fuer ein Oel ist dadrin. 0W60 oder 5W30 von Werkstatt?
Small question is it ok to race with a car and the AC is on?
Does it make the car slower or put extra loud on the engine?
4:19 such a funny reaction , made me giggle
What a car the presence is incredible and the noise is intoxicating. WANT lol
Great lap and video, Misha! But why the car's oil temp is going crazy, like isn't 129 degrees a bit too hot for this driving??
At the beginning I would like to say that it was a great circle. But I have questions for Audi. How good should the oil be so that after a couple of minutes of the race the temperature was 120 and above?!
Ending of the video was tyre temperature about 86c front 63c back . What should the temperature be ? Does the tyres are common or any special tyre is needed for track?
Almost 130C Oil Temperature during hot lap, another few more hot laps without cooling down then might have suffered a melted piston. I broke my VW transmission 2 times during touge so I can foresee what's coming 😂
My head trusts Misha, whether my stomach would at the speeds an RS7 can do is another question. Respect to Jens.
I was getting more and more nervous with the gearbox comments. Also the understeer-oversteer comment was too funny!
King of the road! So much tech in this car! On the pro hands its a fun on a unpro driver its a weapon against him!
Nice video. Got to watch a great lap and learn a bit of German at the same time :)
Great drive, great car, but wow, that gearbox really doesn't know what it's doing. Display goes from 3rd to 4th but the revs never changed even a bit 😮🤨
Misha what was your overal experience driving the RS7? Did you like it? Are there any obvious flaws once you put the car at the race track? (except for the gearbox in this particular vehicle)
Would love to take my diesel E Klasse with Misha one day.
Great run with laughter.
Really enjoyed this one.
Amazing seeing how high the tyre temps went towards the end of the lap 😮
2,3 tonnes. It would not be able to go another la p. That's the difference between sports car and fast car.
oil temp close to 130C is more amazing to see considering the e63s barely got above 110 mostly staying below 110 while full sending it
seems like this car is a doddle to drive fast, so comfortable. and man, those tyre temperatures...started at 37 and ended at 85 degrees.
I looks like misha hit the limit of the car at carousel perfect. Great driving again !
Wow what a machine that is when it gets going!
It's often scarier as a passenger than as the driver, hehe.
Also, I've seen that Suzuki before, it's either a 410 or 413, well... stock, dunno what engine it has now, as I doubt it's a 1.0 or 1.3 anymore from the way it was driving in the videos from the ring. (410 is the 1.0, 413 the 1.3, but that might just be the Nordic model variants, as I think it's just called a Samurai in the US at least.)
That is suzuki samurai, rwd and powered with mazda wankel engine 😊 we was in roadtrip from finland..
@@markokiiskinen6974 So it's a US model then?
Either way, it's frucking amazing, I had to rewind when I spotted it in a video.
Im not gona blame the owner , i would probably be worse as where i live dont have where to go faster than 220/230kms max and thats maybe 1 or 2 places so we are not used to high speed corners
it is interesting how much tires and oil are heated up
Super vom Besitzer dass er seinen Audi mal richtig auf der Nordschleife ausfahren lässt Leider machen das wenige Audi besitzer 😂
