I flew from Canada to London, UK in summer 2017 to see Depeche Mode play at the Olympic Stadium. I had early entry VIP tickets and was the 30th person into the stadium to pick my spot right at the stage center. 80,000 screaming fans behind me.... Absolute best time I've ever had in my life.

I'm glad you said this. I got into it with someone once who said Gahan had no charisma and is not a showman. I said, "Are you serious? Check out the Depeche Mode 101 concert at the Rose Bowl when he had 70,000 fans eating out of his hands! Yeah, tell me that wasn't charisma!" RIP, Andy Fletcher.
I had to leave comment and say also listen to the studio version because it doesn’t sound like this and really has a more atmospheric experience. Also I would definitely check out policy of truth and Never Let Me Down Again.

How can they put on stellar shows without a live performance ahahaha .🤣🤣🤣 That doesn't make any sense. You even said it in your sentence quote "show" hence the name that they do put on shows. lol! They constantly put on live shows/performances. They still even do live even to this day! Maybe you were meaning they didn't put on a live performance in 2020 idk?
I love watching people discover Depeche Mode for the first time and recognising just how incredible they are. I've travelled the world from Australia to see this band perform live a few times over the year because they're just the most amazing experience live as well as creating a soundtrack for my life. Depeche live is equal parts the brilliance of the band and their music, and the reaction the audience brings to the moment. Being in that stadium with everyone loving the band the way we do, it's a memorable experience.
A great song indeed but I could never choose a favorite from them because they have so many good songs. To me it would be like choosing a favorite from Led Zeppelin. It's just not possible.
You definitely aren’t lying. I’ve listened to most of their albums so far, and as much as I liked every single one of them, “Violator” itself is by far the best, with “Songs of Faith and Devotion” ranking a close second.
@@JeterSwisherFan88 I think I heard one of their new songs recently. Sounded pretty good. I think I played the Violator album non-stop for a year. Four or five years ago I heard Everything Counts for the first time and I loved it.

It warms my heart when Depeche Mode gets another one! Keep in mind this concert was in Berlin in 2014...They must have performed this song 1000's of times by then and they still put this much effort into their most famous song.
Other Depeche Mode songs for you: World in My Eyes Never Let Me Down Strangelove Shake the Disease Deaths Door It’s No Good In Your Room Halo Clean Only When I Lose Myself Home many more...
I was at this tour in Fort Lauderdale Florida, 2013. They had released a new album (because the never stop putting out new music)…The performance and the crowd reaction was nearly identical to this concert in Berlin. Hell, I met two swedish sisters who traveled to all of the concerts from Europe to here. 2 tickets at the very back of the floor cost me over 600 dollars together. It was worth it.
Nobody brings it live like Depeche Mode. I got to see them twice during the Spirit tour (once in Detroit, flew to Chicago for the other) and it is just a magical experience, no lie.
Enjoy the Silence is iconic!! Legendary!! Also my anthem and my "go to" for my daily dose of Depeche Mode 😍 #DMFORLIFE👌Been listening to them since age 16. I'm now 52 years young 😊
Depeche Mode was finally inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of fame, last year. I was so excited to see them perform and BOOM, Covid hit! I want a do-over! I know the band accepted the award, but I want a performance! They were one of the best live performances I ever seen! Loved your reaction, my friend!
Depeche Mode is one of the most amazing live Bands. They all and especially Dave Gahan is always giving everything on stage. One of the most awesome moments when you're on a Depeche concert is "Never let me down again"...in that Song there is one moment where the whole crowd starts waving together. Every! Depeche Mode Fan knows that moment. U gotta watch that.
Depeche mode can out tour any new band. In the early 2010's they had 3 sold out shows at the Staples Center (3 nights in a row, and added a 4th). Then 3-4 years ago, they sold out 4 nights in a row, and set a record at the Hollywood Bowl.
More, more , more Depeche Mode!!! Please check out , yes, Personal Jesus, but also Strange Love, live in Pasadena, when they were young. ABSOLUTELY LIT!!! As is the dancing crowd.
So happy to see that you've started to review these guys. Before there was grunge, there was these guys puttin out new wave synth-pop hits like no tomorrow. My favorite band growing up in both middle and high school. Even had a garage band that somewhat modeled ourselves after them. Have seen them in concert a couple of times back in the day. 'Everything Counts" is one of my all-time favs of theirs.
They have always had crowds like that since the first started touring in like 1982! Hell they were the fist band to sell out the Rose bowl back in the late 80's! Very few bands have ever done that!
When I saw this live I had much the same reaction. Namely. “Are those real girls? No surely a prop. But her eye moved! Etc.” Way to outstage yourself, during an excellent performance of maybe your greatest hit :-)
Not a huge fan, but then I haven't heard all their songs; this one I like, so there may be more to check out. Mr. Video back in the saddle again, having genuine fun & bringing us along 🎶
Just subbed… omg LMFAO … first u calling them Depeachie (it’s Depesh)…. And then how hysterical u are mimicking Dave…. Ur awesome.. and F’ING funnier than sh*t! Glad u found Depeche… one of the best bands ever … with a catalog miles and miles and miles long…. Really liked how much u were enjoying and appreciating them! 👏🏼👏🏼✌🏻❤️
Indeed a good suggestion. The video he will see can be a bit distracting though...a bit too absurdist for a new listener to separate the music from the action on the screen. In my humble opinion.
My favorite Depeche Mode song ever since it came out in 1990 and was certified gold in the US and Germany. The song won Best British Single at the 1991 Brit Awards. What a live presentation and how about the crowd and the enthusiasm of the fans. I think European fans really get into their music. Also liked " Policy of Truth" and " John the Revelator" by the group.
Germany always had a special Relationship to Depeche Mode. There are so many Songs you should check out. Personal Jesus, Never let me down, Stripped, Blasphemous Rumours, Black Celebration. Just for the beginning
I saw Depeche Mode 2 times in my country (2009-2018) one of the most finest and amazing experience of my life totally worth it ... My Recomendation 2 songs one for the 90s 1. I feel you (live Devotional tour) , and the 80s 2. Just Cant Get Enough live 101 (the 1st worldwide hit of the band this song ) this band rocks since 1981 til now ... highly recommended (synth pop, new wave and electronic rock
one of the only concerts i have been to where the lead singer Dave Gahan stopped half way through a track to tell the security guards to piss off telling people to sit down in the circle. this was at Hammersmith Odeon in the early 80's he said they have paid money to come and dance. made me laugh seeing these security walking away :)
I so enjoy watching peoples’ reactions when seeing this for the first time! This is the song that did it for me. No matter how many times I see/hear it, I’m thoroughly entertained, mesmerized. Dave is amazing to watch. Some of the earlier videos of him madly twirling with that mike stand scared me, thinking he’s going to take himself or someone else out! If you liked this, Personal Jesus, Never Let Me Down Again (and countless others) will blow you away! Enjoy!

You got it… this song gives me the feels every time I listen to it even after 30 years of listening to Depeche Mode. RIP Andy Fletcher!
So glad you are enjoying Depeche Mode, they are such an amazing band with so many incredible songs.
I laughed so hard during this, you are HILARIOUS! One of my all time favorite songs and bands, this reaction is a treat.
They are seriously awesome live! They've been around since the early 80's, and they're still going strong. 💜🖤💜 I LOVE Depeche Mode!
I got to see Depeche Mode for free at Dodger stadium in 1990…. Was an amazing show…. Especially 40 yards from the stage!
YES!!! You jumped right into another Depeche Mode Song! 😊👏 They are a GOLDMINE of music
Try "WALKING IN MY SHOES", "NEVER LET ME DOWN AGAIN" or "POLICY OF TRUTH" Next!
Walking In My Shoes is awesome, quite haunting 😃👍
Love Walking in My Shoes.
I Just erote the same thing 🤣💓
That was my VERY first concert back in 2014. Nothing I’ve been to since then had lived up to that experience.
still one of the best bands live ever! RIP Fletch
Favorite band of all time. I went to this concert, it was amazing. Depeche Mode is always great live. I've gone to 6 of their concerts.
Speaking of 80s night the whole dancefloor would sing to Don't you want me by Human League. That was like the favorite....should check out that song
It warms my heart when Depeche Mode gets another one! Keep in mind this concert was in Berlin in 2014...They must have performed this song 1000's of times by then and they still put this much effort into their most famous song.
Other Depeche Mode songs for you:
World in My Eyes
Never Let Me Down
Strangelove
Shake the Disease
Deaths Door
It’s No Good
In Your Room
Halo
Clean
Only When I Lose Myself
Home
many more...
Policy of Truth is my favorite
I forgot Stripped!
Master & Servant!
Precious, Welcome to my World, It's no good
Behind The Wheel
its hard to explain how fun at age 15 in Mexico dancing to this music in night clubs back in 89.
This was a fun reaction❗️ Depeche Mode are an iconic band with many catchy songs.
I always loved the Dave Gahan wrist clap and his little spin. He does a lot of wrist clapping in the strangelove video. Lol
Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus. This one is rocking, V. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They just. Don’t. Quit. And they aren’t like most long lasting bands that rely only on their old hits. They continue to put out new albums.
Nobody brings it live like Depeche Mode. I got to see them twice during the Spirit tour (once in Detroit, flew to Chicago for the other) and it is just a magical experience, no lie.
Saw them in Tulsa...They always put on a brilliant show
My favorite by them! There is also nothing cooler than hearing a crowd of thousands all singing together! Such an experience when you're there live!
I just listened to this on Spotify. LUB IT.
Depeche Mode are so SUAVE
Depeche Mode is the band of my life. First my parents were the fans, then they moved it on me 🖤
So happy to see that you've started to review these guys.
POLICY OF TRUTH is my fave ‘Da-pesh’Mode song. 😁💖
My favourite performance of this song! They're still going strong after 40 years! So fun to see you jam out! I do that every time
Lead Dave Gahan is the most deliciously flamboyant "straight" man alive.
Yeppers he is straight. True fact. Even if he wasn't, he still rocks!
💓💓💓love him
Hahahah so HOT
I reckon Martin Gore actually wins the flamboyant straight man style at least in the dress sense 😊
@flowerdew77 Yes!! Gore has fashion flamboyance. Dave is pure flamboyance in motion.
This is a treat watching you react! I liked it!!
Depeche Mode are legend. "Personal Jesus" is also a great song.
Wow i loved this Band in my Youth they are still Amazing👌❤
I’m so glad you found them.
I love Depeche Mode so much. I've been lucky enough to see them twice and it is always a fantastic experience.
Depeche Mode, Mr. Video & a chef salad = Good lunch time break! Cheers Mr. Video!
They have always had crowds like that since the first started touring in like 1982! Hell they were the fist band to sell out the Rose bowl back in the late 80's! Very few bands have ever done that!
Also love how into it you are! It's always awesome to see!
I love this live version!! Have an amazing day everyone 🤗💕
@V- FIT Much mahalos 😊
I was actually in that concert! IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE!
Thanks again for making my day with your positive energy man❤️ Much love and i love to see how you are growing on youtube
Saw them at Dodger Stadium in 1990. They are amazing live.
"I want a 🥨 to eat in different ways", fully agreed bro I concur
Im 50....this music is
Legendary.....
Wishes from Austria 👍
Saw them LIVE in the early 90's! 🔥
Freakin' Fantastic!!!
💜💫✌🏼🎵
Just subbed… omg LMFAO … first u calling them Depeachie (it’s Depesh)…. And then how hysterical u are mimicking Dave…. Ur awesome.. and F’ING funnier than sh*t! Glad u found Depeche… one of the best bands ever … with a catalog miles and miles and miles long…. Really liked how much u were enjoying and appreciating them! 👏🏼👏🏼✌🏻❤️
"Never let me down" is a fan favorite with great live reactions 🎶
They are in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Love them
Have you reacted to Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode?
That's a good suggestion!
Indeed a good suggestion. The video he will see can be a bit distracting though...a bit too absurdist for a new listener to separate the music from the action on the screen. In my humble opinion.
@@tanithatmidnight8027 Also, I think reacting to the audio track is less likely to get blocked than reacting to the video!
Gotta go for the live version
I saw this live in Texas and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. It was one of the most magical moments ever.
Also it’s Dee-peh-sh.
Personal jesus is another great song from them🔥🎶🔥
My favorite Depeche Mode song ever since it came out in 1990 and was certified gold in the US and Germany.
Yay to Blasphemous Rumours.
I thought the crowd did a great job singing and was quite understandable, especially considering they were a non-English-speaking crowd.
While we’re at it. Something a little different. More dark electro goodness. The Sisters of Mercy: This Corrosion”, “Lucretia my reflection.”
Favorite Depeche Mode song by far!
I like their real early ones like "New Life" and "Just can't get enough."
My favorite band of all time!!!! I’ve seen them twice in concert and they beat everyone out of the water every time 🤘🏼
one of the only concerts i have been to where the lead singer Dave Gahan stopped half way through a track to tell the security guards to piss off telling people to sit down in the circle. this was at Hammersmith Odeon in the early 80's he said they have paid money to come and dance. made me laugh seeing these security walking away :)
I would have LOVED to have seen that!
Enjoy!
yes you finally doing enjoy the silence...DM DM DM!!! this song is top ten for me
Haha! Looking up the words, you're adorable! I appreciate your love for live shows!
Undisputedly - a huge hit/anthem!
Talking of silence: the final 'e' in Depeche is silent - spoken: Depesh Mode
Good segue!
" I feel you " from the same concert is amazing ! Dave has one of the best voices ever ! :)) Amazing band.
