We see justification by faith alone (not faith plus works) in finished work of Christ alone in Galatian2:16,21 "know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
ROmans 5:9 - "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." For all of you Works Salvationists who claim you obey the commandments and are saved by that means, read the verse above. Only ONE obeyed God. What a savior we have!
I believe Jesus paid for all of my sins, except for one: John 16:9 of sin because they believe not on me. Calvinist actually say they believe, but say you must "persevere" if you are really saved. MacArthur doesn't seem to believe what he just said. Because if Christ life replaced my life, then there is nothing I could do to lose salvation because Christ is sinless. My question: why do Calvinist teach "persevere die of the saints for? If Christ paid for your sins, and you believe the gospel, then you have eternal life (present tense). So what are you persevering in if you have no more debt and the law has been fulfilled? If Christ's life is my life and my life is erased, then how can Calvinist teach "perseverance of the saints". That is just disguised works. Calvinist are double talking works damnation teachers just like Arminianism.
@Chibithy I was an unbeliever for 23 years with doubts about Christianity like you until I heard the Gospel of God’s amazing grace where God removed the scales from my eyes and changed the disposition of my heart from hatred to love for God. I have a challenge for you: Please read from the Bible the Gospel of John in its entirety with an open mind and ask God prior to reading it:“If you are truly God, then clearly reveal Yourself to me in your Bible.” You have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain.
@Chibithy I only want the best for you, which is eternal salvation. Imagine you are trapped in a burning building and someone rescues you from pending death, but loses his life in the process. How would you feel toward this person? Grateful? Yes, this is how we feel toward Jesus who saved and rescued us 2000 years ago from the wrath and eternal punishment to come by His perfect life, atoning death, and victorious resurrection. Life is short in comparison to eternity that awaits all of us.
We read in Roman4:2-5, "However, to the one who does *not work but trusts* (faith alone) God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited (imputed) as righteousness." We read Roman4:6-8 "David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits (imputes) righteousness *apart from works*:“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one *whose sin the Lord will *never* count against them*. No condemnation
Yep, it's for everyone who believes and that's why the bible teaches that God gives the gift of faith and God opens the heart to believe. Men are without excuse because they have been told the truth so they cannot say "I didn;t know" but they are accountable because they wanted nothing to do with it. Jesus did come to seek and save and that is exactly what He did, He saved His sheep.
One chapter before this, in Roman3:20-22, we read "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This *righteousness is given through faith* in Jesus Christ to all who believe." Jesus earned and merited the perfect righteousness for us as free gift by God's amazing grace thru faith alone.
Salvation is all by God's grace alone (not grace plus our merit) thru faith alone (not faith plus our works) in finished work of Christ alone. We clearly see this in Luke 23:32-43 from criminal on the cross who did no works of satisfaction or penance, but have faith or trust alone in the Christ's finished work on the cross. Jesus said to that criminal: "Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise (Not purgatory)". This is great news for everyone, especially Roman Catholics!
No one can earn righteousness before God by obedience to God's law bcuz of sin.Only Jesus can do this without sin.Philippian 3:8-10 "I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith."
Yes, Sola scriptura means that Scripture alone is authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian, especially our salvation. The Bible is complete, authoritative, and true. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, we must test every teaching by God's authoritative Word since God never lies. If teaching is contrary or absent from the Bible, then we have to reject it.
Jesus said the reason He said that was because He knew who did not believe! God doesn't choose to draw some and not others. He draws ALL who believe toward Jesus. Calvinism is a false gospel. Anyone who teaches another gospel, other than the one the apostles taught, is accursed. Run from Calvinism! It is a modern day pharisaical spirit. "We are the chosen, and everyone else is already damned." Study the character of the Pharisees. They believed because they were"chosen" that they were saved. They denied God's Word that He would use them to bring salvation to the world. Jesus spoke against them because they prevented others from entering the kingdom who wanted to enter. Romans 1 reveals that God has given every man sufficient knowledge of Him and has a choice to receive the truth of God or suppress the truth of God. Calvinism is a doctrine of devils!
Chipk77 (Cont.3): In other words, we cannot bear the fruit of the Spirit unless we (the branches) receive the Holy Spirit as a gift and are grafted to Vine (Jesus) as Jesus said in John 15:4-5 "Remain in Me, as I also remain in you. No branch (not born of God) can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the Vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;apart from me you can do nothing."
I agree that we should start discussing about our core beliefs in light of God's authoritative Word from the Bible which is the only source of truth since God does not lie and withdraw from name calling and pointing fingers of blame. Looking forward to our friendly and respectful discussion. It's true that what we believe has eternal consequences: heaven or hell hangs in the balance. For right now its time to sleep. Good night! :)
You are correct. It is not about winning arguments, but leading others to the Savior Jesus from the wrath and judgment of God that awaits everyone who is under the curse of sin. There is a sin guilt problem that everyone needs to address since no one will escape the final enemy:death.Christians believe once you die, your destination is final just as Jesus spoke about rich man in Luke16:19-31 who died and immediately went to Hell where he experienced eternal torment and barred from heaven forever.
Greg Settle (cont.2): In John 6:37-39, Jesus also said "All those the Father *gives* me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away...And this is the will of Him who sent He, that I shall *lose none* of all those He has *given* Me, but raise them up at the last day." When did He choose us for salvation? For He chose us in Him *before* the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight" Spiritual dead needs to be made spiritually alive by new birth in Christ.
In the 16th century, do you agree that many of Roman Catholic has strayed away from the truth? Martin Luther, was the Catholic of Catholics just as the Apostle Paul was the Pharisee of Pharisees. They both were very devoted and strong in their beliefs until God intervened and lead them to the truth of His Gospel of amazing grace alone (not grace plus merit) thru faith alone (not faith plus works) in the finished work of Christ alone (not Christ's work plus our work) to the glory of God alone.
Gal.3:10-14 "For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” Jesus redeemed us in order that blessing given to Abraham might come to Gentiles thru Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit." Holy Spirit guarantee our salvation (Eph1:13-14)
Romans 3:3-4 "What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar." We are all born with a sinful nature due to the fall of Adam. We are spiritually dead, spiritually blind, and spiritually deaf to the things of God. God seeks after all of His chosen people and raised us to spiritual life (born of God), gives spiritual sight to the blind, and give us spiritual ears to hear. It is a miracle of God alone.
Cont.2) This leads me to the question about purgatory which seems to be the hinge that holds all of the other beliefs together. As I referred to Luke16:19-31, Jesus, our Creator, taught about hell more than any of his disciples. Where does Jesus teach purgatory? What do you have to do to get into purgatory? Does anyone get out of purgatory? Can anyone avoid purgatory and go directly to heaven? How many good works do Catholics need to merit to get out of purgatory? Does anyone know how many?
Roman Catholics believe in infused righteousness (like a battery charger to give you ability to be made righteous before God through the instrument of works-righteousness to be born of God) whereas the Protestant Reformers believe in inputed righteousness (legal once-for-all declaration of righteousness before God the moment you are born of God through God's instrument of saving faith).
@PureGraceEvangelism In order to embrace the good news of the Gospel of grace, you first need to understand the bad news of the sinfulness of our sin and the wrath of God. You cannot have the cure without knowing the problem. You will not know that you need a Savior without first knowing that there is the problem of sin that separates you from God. Washer preaches first the Law and then Gospel. If you listen to the rest of the message you will hear the sweetness of the pure Gospel of grace.
2 Corinthians 5:21 "For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." The one thing you want to understand about this scripture is we are not made, as in "made complete". But rather are made as in "built into the righteousness of God." It is not substitutionary that does not agree w/ the rest of the bible. Ephesians 2:22 And in him you too are BEING BUILT together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
@psburningman Unfortunately, the entire fallen human race, including me, deserves to spend eternity in the torment of hell for just punishment for breaking God's law. But God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, from heaven to earth for the ultimate purpose of taking upon Himself the full wrath and punishment for all of the (past, present, and future) sins of those who put the hope and trust, not on their own works, but only in Christ's finished work on the cross for their salvation. Amazing love!
In James 2:19-24, Reformers understand "faith without works is dead" to mean everyone who is not born of God is spiritually dead and cannot produce the fruits or works without Holy Spirit indwelling in them. In Eph.2:8-10, we see this: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
In the chapter before, Roman4:5-8 "However, to the one who does not work but trusts (faith in) God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited (imputed) as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will *never* count against them." "Never" means no longer in condemnation. Rom8:1
Being a skeptic and mocker is easy. It is easy to spend time disproving what one cannot understand or experience with ones senses. It is far harder and more challenging to study research and think critically about what one believes and what other beliefs are available.
Reformers understanding of how one is saved: Due to curse of sin as result of Adam's original sin to God's law, all humanity are born spiritually dead, spiritually blind, and spiritually deaf to the things of God (Rom3:9-12). When we are born of God, we are made made spiritually alive (Ezekiel37:1-10) we receive new spiritual hearts from God (Ezek36:25-27), we are given spiritual eyes to see and spiritual ears to understand the things of God. Once born of God, your salvation is secured forever!
If you try to earn your salvation by your good works, you need to obey God's law perfectly (without sin). Problem: Everyone has failed by their first sin. James 2:10 "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." Solution: Our Father sent Jesus, to not only die to take the punishment for our sin, but also live on our behalf as our second Adam under God's law in perfect obedience to every detail of God's law that God demands (Rom 5:17-19)
In Roman5:18 "Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people," when Adam sinned this legally brought condemnation to all humanity, but good news is that Jesus kept and fulfilled the demands of God's law by His perfect obedience as our Substitute under the law. This brought the opposite of condemnation which is justification or legal declaration that sinners are declared righteous before God.
Since the Bible is God's Word and God does not lie, we read in Ephesians 1:4-6 “For He (Father God) chose us (His Elect) in Him (Christ) *before* the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will- to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves." Jesus said that in Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost"
@psburningman-God says in His Bible that we are all theists made in God's image, but the only way one embraces the truth of God is by God's regenerating work into a person's heart through His Gospel (where the spiritual blind receives spiritual sight and the spiritual dead is made spiritually alive in Christ) whereas the unregenerate person naturally suppresses God's truth in unrighteousness and is by nature an idol factory creating other gods in their own image that they are comfortable with.
Greg Settle (cont.4): Free will? Rom.9:11-16,"Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad-in order that God’s purpose in *election* might stand: not by works but by him who calls. Just as it is written:“Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! For He says to Moses,“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy."
The essential truth of the doctrine of "Justification by Faith Alone" is found many places in the Bible. For the Protestant Reformers, it is the heart of the Gospel. Please read the following article for scripture references: ttp://carm.org/are-we-saved-faith-alone-or-do-we-need-works-too. We are not saved by faith plus works, but faith alone in the finished and sufficient work of Christ alone. This is part of the Solas of the Reformation which sparked a great awakening in Europe and America.
@Greg Settle: You are correct that Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost because in Rom3:11 "None seeks after God" Why? Because we are born spiritually dead, blind, and deaf to the things of God due to the fall of Adam. Eph.2:2; 1Cor.2:14. That is why it is only God who initiates and makes us spiritually alive or born of God where we are given new hearts to believe, new eyes to see, and new ears to hear. John3:3,6;Ezekiel11:19-20,Ezek36:26,27;Ezek37:1-10;1Cor.15:22;Eph.2:4-5.
Roman Catholics believes that you can earn your salvation by your good works and by following prescribed sacraments, but someone else (children or relative?) can merit for you the good works to achieve perfection that you need to get out of purgatory whereas the Protestant Reformers believes that we cannot earn or merit our salvation by our sin-tainted works, but trusts only on the finished work of Christ who earned and merited for us the perfect righteousness that God demands. Jesus did it all
@Chibithy The difference between world religions and Christianity is that world religions are based on doing good works to gain entrance into heaven whereas Christianity is based on trusting (faith) alone in the finished work and perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ alone by God’s amazing grace alone for our eternal salvation, which is a free gift from God, not earned or merited by works. Also, Jesus is the only One whose grave is empty, because He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death.
If you look at the cross references for the ESV and NASB on "made sin" both translations point to Romans 8:3 where it says God "sent his son in the likeness of sinful flesh," which refers to the Incarnation. The consensus among the Early Church Fathers says the same thing. The term "imputation" only appears in 5:19, where it says sin is NOT imputed. The terms "become" and "made" in 5:21 are creation/transformation terms. It is bogus to turn this verse into Double Imputation.
Hi Miria, The Reformers believe that the Apostles was preaching the Gospel of God's amazing free grace alone (not grace+merits) through the gift of saving faith alone (not faith + works) in the finished and sufficient work of Christ alone (not man's merit and works+God) so that no one can boast before God (Eph2:8-9) God alone receives all of the glory and saves (not lose) all that the Father has given Jesus which is God's Elect (John 6:38-40) or people chosen from beginning of world (Eph1:4-6)
@RMCDisciple AMEN! brother doctrine matters, we must enter by the narrow road which leads to life. We know them by their fruits. If they deny CHRIST is the only way or preach another JESUS they are false and not part of the kindgom of GOD however we must pray for their repentance.
Eph1:13-14 "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the Gospel of your salvation. When you believed (faith alone, not faith plus works), you were marked in Christ with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a *deposit guaranteeing* our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of His glory" We receive the Holy Spirit when we are spiritually born of God. Our salvation is guaranteed and cannot be lost. This is great news 4U!
We become born of the Water and the Spirit by dying to our self and being united with Christ through the Baptism (sign of death to self) and His Holy Spirit. It says nothing about God sees me perfectly righteous although I'm still alive in sinful self. Being born again is an actual transformation of a person that occurs through Baptism and the Spirit. We do not become born again by merely believing that I'm righteous before God for the sake of Death of Christ (the Reformation Gospel).
@Chibithy Jesus came down from heaven to resolve our greatest problem: the guilt of our sins that we have committed in word, thought, and deed. His sovereign plan was to be our Substitute to earn and merit for us the perfect (sinless) obedience or righteousness that is demanded by God’s Law, to die on the cross to pay-in-full the debt of all of our sins (past, present, and future) that we could not pay, and to be raised from the dead to conquer sin and death for our justification before God.
Who does God save? John6:37-39 (Jesus said) "All that the Father gives Me will come to me, and whoever comes to Me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I should lose nothing of all that He has given Me, but raise it up on the last day. John6:44 (Jesus said) "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent me draws Him. And I will raise him up on the last day."Who does saving?
We do not see Peter as the Rock in Galatians 2:14-15 (Paul said) "When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the Gospel, I said to Cephas (Peter) in front of them all,“You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew.How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?"Why does Paul not know that Peter is head of the Church? If Peter has authority over the Church, then why does Peter as head not have right to force Gentiles to follow Jewish custom?
That is a pretty good explanation of gospel truth from MacArthur. One issue I would take is that he seems to make the work of Christ dependent upon faith, when in fact, faith is dependent upon the work of Christ, since it is the gift of God (Eph 2:8-9) and only the regenerate have it (Gal 5:22, II Thes 3:2, I John 5:1). More problematic for MacArthur is the fact that particular/effectual effectual redemption destroys the well-meant offer upon which his philosophy of ministry rests.
Grace alone through faith alone. That is the gospel preached. We don’t do good works for salvation…..we do good works because of salvation. Before the foundations of the earth were created, God knew His own. Anything less is lessening God’s sovereignty. Amen.
4) After Paul rebukes Peter who was supposed to be the head of the Church in Galatians 2:14, we read in Galatians 2:15 “We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is *not justified by the works of the law*, *but by faith in Jesus Christ*. So we, too, have put our *faith in Christ Jesus* that we may be *justified by faith in Christ* and *not by the works of the law*, because by the *works of the law no one will be justified.* Justified by faith alone (not faith plus work)
Has it occurred to you that perhaps like the time of hundred of years of silence between the last book of the Old Testament and the New Testament that truth was corrupted by the Pharisees religious leaders could have happen the same way with the Roman Catholics from the time of Apostles to the Reformation? During the Apostles time, there were many false professor of Christ like in Galatians where many were perverting the Gospel of God's amazing grace alone thru faith alone(not faith plus works)
Greg Settle (cont.3): In Ephesian 1:13-14, we cannot freely choose Christ unless God makes us spiritually alive (or born of God) thru the gift of the Holy Spirit who is Giver of Truth. In John 1:11-13, we read "Jesus came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God-children born not of natural descent, *nor of human decision* or a *husband’s will*, but born of God."
Did Paul or any of the apostles teach that those who are born of God cannot lose their salvation? On the other hand, how often did they warn and exhort the believers to work out their salvation with fear and trembling, to suffer for Christ, to endure in their faith, to strive for perfection, to grow in knowledge of God and holiness, to continue their race for the goal of their salvation?
Since the Bible and its entirety is the Word of God and God does not lie, there should not be any contradiction, Ephesian1:13-15 "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the Gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of His glory."Those who are born of God cannot lose their salvation
I'm not Catholic but I do believe in purgation of souls. Catholics believe in salvation by grace alone. Purgation or purification is an act of God's pure grace. It is not a place between Heaven and Hell. It is a process. Purging through the fire of God was mentioned frequently by the apostles.
OK, I will listen to this if you also agree to listen to the entire playlist (3 part) message of "Martin Luther's Grappling With The Gospel-RC Sproul" from my channel and let me know what you think. But before we listen to this, let's both pray to God and ask Him to give us discernment and to convict our hearts and minds by the Holy Spirit to determine which message is more faithful to His Word? Can we both agree to this?
Let's look to see if what Jesus says is more in line of Reformed Christianity or Roman Catholicism. John 6:38-40 (Jesus said) “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent Me. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall *lose none* of all those He has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
I am not advocating works of righteousness either but real righteousness. And this is the real righteousness - Rom. 4:9 "..Faith was reckoned to Abraham as righteousness." I think Abraham's righteousness was real, don't you think?
Please explain how Roman Catholics interpret Ephesian 1:13-15, John 6:38-40, Ephesian 1:4-6, John 10:27-30 which is very clear that those that the Father gives the Son (which are God's Elect or chosen people) are forever secured by the deposit of the Holy Spirit and in the hands of God.Again, this is great news to you and everyone, even the Roman Catholics. This is why God's grace is so amazing! Please do not trust in your own merits, but only the perfect merit of Christ Jesus for your salvation.
Without God's authoritative Word to test if all teachings are true, there is no way to determine if something is false. During 400 years of God's silence between Old and New Testament, if Pharisees, the religious leaders of Jesus time, who claimed to be ONLY TRUE CHILDREN OF GOD and having ONE INTERPRETATION OF GOD'S WORD, were harshly rebuked by Jesus for adding man-made traditions and rules to salvation. Would it be possible for Catholics to fall into same trap for about same number of years?
In which way? What did the Reformation considered as Law and what you consider as the Gospel declared by the 4 gospel writers? Would you substantiate your claims and assertations? 2ndly what did gospel did the Apostles preach in the New Testament?
Hi Celestianetterra: Sorry for the late response, but I was wondering what part of the Gospel proclaimed by the Reformers sounds great, but not found in the words of Jesus? I will try to help you if I can. :)
“He himself took on Him the burden of our iniquities. He gave His own son a ransom for us, the holy One for transgressors, the blameless One for the wicked, the righteous One for the unrighteous, the incorruptible One for the corruptible the immortal One for the mortal. For what other thing was capable of covering our sins than His righteousness. By what other one was it possible that we, the wicked and the ungodly, could be justified, than by the only Son of God? O sweet exchange! O unsearchable operation! O benefits surpassing all expectation! That the wickedness of many should be hid in a single righteous One, and that the righteousness of One should justify many transgressors!” [Epistle to Diognetus 1X, circa 130 AD-emphasis added]
No disagreement that we are saved through faith. It is just that you obviously have an incorrect definition, as I pointed out from John 3:36. Faith includes obedience.
Dr. MacArthur explained the true Gospel in 1 minute and 4 seconds. Thank you Jesus for doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.
2024, who else is here?
Wow, what a revelation I confess this most of the time i am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus
Yes! Yes! Yes! The gospel pure, simple, mighty and powerful in 1:25. Awesome. Thank you for this post!
I was in tears and it's only 1:25 minutes/seconds long.
Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:14
One of the 2-3 times that truth was spoken on TBN.
If this doesn't make a person love forever , Jesus of Nazareth then I don't know what will.
Wow.....pure simple gospel. When God sees me he sees Jesus 🙌
Amazing Grace, indeed!
Thank you Jesus 🙏
We see justification by faith alone (not faith plus works) in finished work of Christ alone in Galatian2:16,21 "know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Perfect explanation of The Gospel
Wonderful explanation. My heart rejoice and bless the Lord in the name of Jesús.
Amen in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ forever and ever 🎶🎄💕🔯🛐😘👌👑🙏🌞💓🥧😊🙌💞💌😀🐝💖💐🥰😇🔥👍✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️ amen
When we've been there ten thousand years!
ROmans 5:9 - "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."
For all of you Works Salvationists who claim you obey the commandments and are saved by that means, read the verse above. Only ONE obeyed God. What a savior we have!
What a great verse! Sadly most works salvationists don't realize that they are, even as they require works all over the place.
Calvinist are double talking works damnation teachers just like Arminianism.
bible4truth Jesus didn't pay for your sun of unbelief? So in the past when you disbelieved, that's not forgiven?
Chad Daniels What a Great verse (Rom 5:9). It's Christ's righteousness, not mine.
Amen. Outstanding clip!
Thank you Father God!!
1 cor 5:21 was well explained!
Thank you Lord for this undeserving forgiveness. Thank you for your Infinite Grace and Love 😢❤
In complete agreement with John statements about substitution..
John MacArthur is the real deal!
If teaching is contrary or absent from the Bible, then we have to reject it.
.../ John 6:44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; & I will raise him on the last day."
Thank you for this!
AMEN and AMEN!
Good night! :)
I love Kirk Cameron.. & Candance too..
Wow....very powerful
Truth! Truth! Thanks for posting!
God is Good.
Great video
I can’t like this enough
One of the greatest presentations of the gospel I have ever heard 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will- to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves." Jesus said that in Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost"
double imputation
What a reality!
My reaction is Kirk's expression at 1:05
@psburningman-God says in His Bible that we are all theists made in God's image, but the only way one embraces the truth of God is by God's regenerating work into a person's heart through His Gospel (where the spiritual blind receives spiritual sight and the spiritual dead is made spiritually alive in Christ) whereas the unregenerate person naturally suppresses God's truth in unrighteousness and is by nature an idol factory creating other gods in their own image that they are comfortable with.
Simply beautiful
@RUSavedByGraceAlone
How could have I never seen it before, that's truly amazing.
Jesus did it all
Good Job!
@RMCDisciple
AMEN! brother doctrine matters, we must enter by the narrow road which leads to life.
Praise God he is more then GOOD!
How does one know whether they are predestined, or merely a volunteer, as you put it?
In which way? What did the Reformation considered as Law and what you consider as the Gospel declared by the 4 gospel writers? Would you substantiate your claims and assertations?
2ndly what did gospel did the Apostles preach in the New Testament?
Wow! WoW WoW 😮🥰
Hi Celestianetterra: Sorry for the late response, but I was wondering what part of the Gospel proclaimed by the Reformers sounds great, but not found in the words of Jesus? I will try to help you if I can. :)
Great stuff but is this on tbn?
amen.
