Timeless Fusion: A Contemporary Renovation of a Historic Italian Home

This project showcases the renovation and expansion of a historic residential building in Morbegno, Italy. The design artfully blends traditional materials like stone and wood with modern minimalist forms, creating a seamless integration between the old and the new. The original stone structure, rooted in the town's rural past, is revitalized and extended with a contemporary volume, connected via a thoughtfully designed entrance. The L-shaped configuration forms a protected courtyard, offering a serene outdoor space. This project celebrates the coexistence of historical references and modern architectural language, enhancing the character of its urban surroundings.
