      I'm an atheist, but sometimes I really wish there was a reward in an afterlife for some people. His time was so short, his contribution so great.

    Johnny Lee, if only you saw this. I want to say thank you and thank you for changing from your past for the better. I hope God Blesses you sir and I learned a thing today. Racism is the cancer of this earth.

    • @PatrickHansen101
      @PatrickHansen101 11 років тому +3

      Sure hope you're not speaking about a blessing from the christian God, because his bible promotes racism quite a bit, in Deuteronomy, Book of Numbers, Nehemiah, Matthew, Mark, Acts..

    • @Bearsworth8
      @Bearsworth8 11 років тому +1

      Patrick Hansen If you knew anything about Christianity then you would realize its message isn't to promote racism nor slavery. You will be judged regardless of status or any other construct created by humans, the take away isn't how to treat slaves a certain way, but to love one another.

    • @PatrickHansen101
      @PatrickHansen101 11 років тому

      I know what it is based on and what people do in it's name.
      Slavery and racism is not the central idea of Christianity, but it is part of it's source, the Bible.
      You can't know Christianity in and of itself, since there are over 40,000 denominations of Christianity.

    • @PostModernPrick
      @PostModernPrick 11 років тому +6

      Bearsworth8
      The bibel does condone racism, slavery and genocide.. However, The bibel was written by men, men with faults. And as Johnny sais, don't ignore it, take a stand against it, and though I'm not a christian, I respect christians who does exectly that a great deal. Taking a stance for the better on behalf of what they believe in today, and not several millenias ago, but if christians keep glorifying the bibel as objective truth we are back where we began, a stagnate circle of neverending misery.

  • @GreatNorthWeb

    Johnny said that he made a 100% turn in his life. Technically, that puts you right back where you started, but I got his meaning. :)

    • @Erobazai
      @Erobazai 10 років тому +14

      What? If you make a 100% turn, you go the other way. What you are thinking about is a 360 and 180 degree turn.

    • @GreatNorthWeb
      @GreatNorthWeb 10 років тому

      Erobazai If I turn something 50%, that is only half a turn to me. If I turn a dial all the way around it goes from 0 all the way around back to zero. That's 100% and also 360 degrees by my reckoning. If you are walking in a path of life, and you make a right turn, how many degrees would you consider that to be? I would consider it to be 90 degrees. What constitutes a metaphorical turn then? In your metaphor, a turn in 180 degrees. In my metaphor, it is 90 degrees. So I skip the metaphor completely and look at it literally. A 100% turn in life is 360 degrees.

    • @Erobazai
      @Erobazai 10 років тому +5

      If you turn 100% from a direction, you go 0% in that direction. Meaning you have nothing left to do with it.
      You are mixing up 2 metaphors.
      I still love you thou :)

      He had a horrible traumatic childhood, was indoctrinated into racism, and then at 14 lured into a racist cult. He went on to do something positive with his life by campaigning against racism. So yes he deserves praise, just as a recovered drug addict deserves praise. However I don't think someone who grew up comparatively happy and well adjusted deserves praise merely for having never been in the kind of acute emotional suffering that would drive them to heroin.
