This monitor is a strong candidate when I will upgrade my studio. It will be the lower monitor of a stacked setup with an LG 29" 21:9 above it. I would love to use my HP 24es but it doesn't have a VESA mount, so it will be put on a different desk for other tasks (it is too good to be left inactive). You know, I've been thinking of getting a "3k" ultrawide, but most are curved. This is the one monitor that ticks every box on my list. > 165hz 1ms response > 34 inch ultrawide > Flat! Yes! > DP 1.4 Seriously happy I found this review. Now to save my money!
Also to mention that most of curved monitors have VA panel, this is IPS Panel! Even better! And on top of that you have an advantage on FPS games, as you get more screen (FOV). (if you think the image would stretch, we'll it isn't!)

Hey there Aliff, I am not 100% sure what you mean but if you mean any light leakage or anything like that. Then I have no issues at all. I have quite a dark theme for my PC and everything looks on point
it does NOT have inbuilt speakers. the Omen Hub is a bit wonky, better use buttons on the monitor. other than that this monitor is insane price/quality wise.

Omen Hub is designed for HP Gaming hardware, but I actually really like the ability to change the presets through software rather than the Monitor buttons. The typical res for this is 3440x1440 so it will work for what you're after but may look a bit odd. In terms of ultra settings for Cyberpunk, that will likely be more down to your graphics card. The monitor will have no issue so long as you have the suitable dpec

Hey mate, your setup would work perfectly fine. I personally have a core i7 11th gen, 3080 and also use a core i7 10th gen with a 3070. The monitor uses both HDMI and DP for inputs so should be nice smooth sailing.
Is there a potential that the monitor setting and PC settings are causing you to be at 100hz? There are benefits to Display port compared to HDMI but it should be restricting to 100hz

Hey there, I have my 27" monitors mounted with a dual arm and then the X34 using its supplied base. I'm really happy with how it works, but it's well worth looking at the space you have between the wall and desk. I've had to move my desk forward a decent amount to allow for the arms

Hey there, In terms of your spec with the this monitor... There would be no issue at all with compatibility. I can't really talk much to the discussion on flickering, my device has been perfect. I primarily use this for Work and gaming, I certainly feel I make the most of this when playing games. If you do purchase any monitor and there is a dead pixel, it is likely covered by warranty, you will need to either contact the retailer or HP to organise repair/replacement. I hope this helps
Backlight bleed test came back great, no issues on my monitor after testing. I have a slight glow after manipulating the room lights but in normal lighting, I personally couldnt tell. Overall, it absolutely passed the test and looks great

"It is a ridiculously high resolution" well its a 1440p monitor. 4k is higher res. 8k is "ridiculously high", not 1440p lol. 1440p is just standard these days. You always know when you hear over exaggerations like that that the video is probably gonna be pretty biased. Or at least, that is the impression you give. I am interested in the Gigabyte M34WQ which uses the same panel. It is only rated for 144hz and also doesn't quite get the 1ms advertised so was curious to see if this really does do 165hz/1ms or if that is misleading. But all i get from this is that you enjoy it. Unfortunately the typical amazon reviews could tell as much.

Great review, does the 1000:1 Kontrastratio affect it in any way? Compared to similiar Monitors the X34 lacks behind in that area
For me personally, I don't see major issues. However, this is primarily a work monitor for me.
Its good, contrast are on 100 on my monitor, on the max.

Do I have to use a display port cable when using this monitor on a ps5 when I just want 120hz?
You should be able to use HDMI straight to PS5 to get the speeds you're looking for. You'll just need a higher quality cable

How deep is your desk? Isn't 60cm a bit too close for a monitor this size?
