These brands and their normalization of high prices need to stop! The drugstore is awesome & some high-end is worth it, but $30+ for things like mascara, brow gel, and eyeliner is ridiculous 😡
A lot of high end is worth it to me. I’ll pay higher prices if it’s actually good and from the drugstore. But I’m not paying high prices for drugstore makeup that is just okay. I’d rather go spend it at Sephora or the on a brand site.
Some high end items are worth the money I must admit. I’m a former mua and I can honestly say I’ve used so much high end and drugstore products over the years and some drugstore products perform far better than some high end! But certain high end products are a must for me. Especially as I’ve aged. At nearly 50 I’ve gone through hundreds of concealers, foundations and powders but I have literally never been able to find a powder as good as my Huda for under my eyes! But I absolutely love my elf powder for my face! I’d never spend much on brow gel or pencils, my Nyx is perfect for me and lasts all day for a 14hr shift no problem! Elf setting spray is amazing and makes my makeup last all day from 3am to 5pm no problem! Mascara is a funny one for me, I won’t spend a lot I usually use the elf tubing or the lash sensation from maybelline, but there is one high end I find so perfect and doesn’t leave me with panda eyes and that’s the Mac extended play I think it’s called. Another tubing. But that one is one I’ll spend the money on sometimes. So I think it depends on what it is, your personal skin type, tone and age. As well as preference. I personally love so much drugstore but also love some high end too! I’d not pay much for certain products but even though I have several foundations that are better than a majority of my high end ones, I would happily spend money on base products as they need to last!
@@Beauty-mad yeah, it’s personal preference and some things do work differently on different people. I completely agree with that. I see a lot of polarity with makeup items, especially mascara. I never felt the need to wear makeup until about eight years ago when the makeup community really blew up. Perfect timing.

Your reaction to the shades in the UD Naked palette, is why I wasn't thrilled about the palette and barely used it! It needs more Matte Shades! I keep it for nostalgia purposes, because that's when I started getting into Makeup.

did u try the makeup revolution X mean girls collection??? i cant remember after exactly how long i got excited about new makeup launch......the eyeshadow pallate has top nauch quality with less price point, the black eyeshadow in that pallate is like a jet black liner...the powder is so unique and versatile...the packaging is soooo cute.................also try the hard candy new lip oils...those have pigments like no other lip oils (drugstore or highend)..they have great formula as well..also try the naturium phyto glow lip mask..that one is very affordable with great price and huge quantity...all these are my new holy grails...

Totally agree! Even though 30 sounds "older", looking back, it was just a number...I didn't know squat! I've really come to know myself, gotten more confident, and put up with way less than I did then! Creating Healthy Boundaries, taking time for myself, and caring more about myself than what people think, is the best time in life!
Because it's limited edition I honestly don't know how it's being packaged. I've also gotten many comments before because people are disappointed that their packaging doesn't look like PR packaging. So I genuinely don't think it's common knowledge and if anything I was just trying to be informative. Really no need for a clown face🤔
