The music for the classic "Flipper" song was written by Henry Vars, who was actually a very distinguished Jewish composer who managed to survive during WWII in Poland and emigrated to the US after the war. He scored a number of movies and composed symphonies and worked at MGM in the 1960s. The lyrics were by William D. "By" Dunham who wrote songs and lyrics and was also a producer.

The 1997 Flipper movie with Elijah Wood is terrible and never should have been made! Movie remakes lack imagination and are plagiarism!
