  • Let's Talk About Fezzari - Riding the New Signal Peak and Delano Peak! This Bike Company Has it ALL!!
    Last weekend I went to the Bentonville Bike Fest and it was incredibly fun. If you didn't make it, I strongly suggest you start making plans for next year cause this event had it all. I can't read a basic schedule and showed up 2 hours before the event started, but luckily they allowed me in to walk around, so that's why it looks so empty in my footage. However, in my sad lonely stroll through the grounds I came across the Fezzari booth, and today I'd like to share my thoughts on this direct to consumer brand and two of their bikes I test rode. The Signal Peak, and the Delano Peak.

    Love my Delano. I had got the Cascade and ended up returning it for the Delano and I'm glad I did.

    I bought a Wasatch Peak HT earlier this year. I love it. Really well made bike, and Fezzari was super helpful in upgrades that I sent them during the build process. I definitely recommend them. 👍🏻

    Few weeks ago I built a signal peak SL frameset for my local XCO season. Mine came in right at 24 lbs and has been working really well for my needs.

    I got a Delano Peak in the Lush Green before they launched the new colors on their website. I absolutely love the bike I climb 5 miles and descend 5 miles every other morning with the sunrise and in both directions the bike is a joy. As my legs have gotten stronger I have even been able to scale some hills with 30+ degree steeps and loose rock with no slippage on the 2.5 aggressor out back.

    Last year when you could not get bikes I was going for the Cascade Peak, six months wait. Ordered Delano peak in Coral frame set and built my own in 2 weeks, awesome ride:)😎

    I've had the previous version of the Signal Peak for a couple years, and it's been great. I really appreciate the customization they do -- it was set up perfectly, and I had them do tubeless setup which was also great to have done. Rides great and has held up extremely well.

    Woot! I love my Delano Elite too. How do compare the Signal to the Top Fuel? The Signal was on order but I, too, cancelled due to lead times getting pushed out so I got my Carbon Top Fuel.

    You may have just cemented my future decision. The Fezzari La Sal Peak is my dream bike, but it's probably too much bike for my current skill level & Indiana trails. So I've been thinking about getting a Delano Peak because it's supposedly a less travel version of the LA Sal. It would probably be much easier to just get a Trek Fuel Ex where I'm at, but Trek just doesn't speak to me the way Fezzari does. Plus, I'm not impressed with my Trek Marlin 6.

    • @CobraKyle
      @CobraKyle  2 роки тому +3

      Sounds like a good plan! The La Sal is a pretty burly bike, and I imagine not as fun to pedal around. As you improve your skills, you'll be amazed what you can do on a shorter travel bike. I agree the Delano is a much more appealing bike than the Fuel EX. Last I checked the Delano had a 2-3 week delivery time which is awesome!

      I have a Trek Slash and I gotta say it really is the best of both worlds. It pedals as well as most trail bikes but you still get all that juicy travel. It’s that Trek ABP design that just keeps the wheel glued to the ground. And as for the climbing, I think the fact that trek took the time to develop a shock especially for the Slash directly in partnership with Rockshox that gives such good small force compliance. I mean I hardly fight the suspension on the climbs at all. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend it if your dream bike is something with more travel

      @@codyscoles3576 I'm in Southern Indiana (Evansville). We don't have much of anything here other than Scales Lake in Boonville and just some random hills. Everything else is at least an hour away, but I wouldn't trust my Trek Marlin 6 on much anyway. I'll be checking out more trails when I get a good trail bike.

    What are your thoughts on Carbon MTB’s? Looking at the polygon syncline. On sell and look pretty compelling.

    • @CobraKyle
      @CobraKyle  2 роки тому

      I personally have never been able to justify purchasing a carbon frame for myself. I always enjoy when I get to ride them, but I don't race, nor am I ever blown away to spend an extra $,1,000 or so. I think I'm supposed to be getting a syncline later this year for review, and excited to try it out since it's a pretty affordable carbon hardtail. I really like my aluminum Polygon Xtrada, so hoping the Syncline is just as good.
