I've worked in healthcare as ancillary staff learning how to perform EKGs, learning about heart sounds and sinus rhythmns, etc. This has assisted me in my own healthcare after suffering a myocardial infarction, currently suffering with heart failure, and now contending with my tragic personal life experiences. Thank you for confirming the knowledge endowed to me. Be blessed.
Well I cannot believe what just happened! I'm 63 and was shooting a video of my brother and our dog ...and upon replay all I heard was my heartbeat (with the murmur I've had since childhood (7/52 premie twin) and immediately googled HMs and have listened to various versions here. Don't know which category mine falls under but shall have to see my doctor I guess :-) just to check as have never thought to ask and never ever had any problems so shan't stress about it. Very very interesting, very long murmur sound¹
I had my first hear palpatation today. I could litterly feel my heart beat inside my chest and it felt and sounded just like one of the sounds. Creepy experience
YES! I want find out what it is I'm having and what it's called. I think I'm having pics or palpitations. I want to know what they sound like. I think I have cardiophobia. I'm so scared something will happen and i wont know the warning signs. I'm only 27 153lbs. I shouldn't even be worried about this.
Wow this was insane but VERY interesting I am learning about the heart as I have a minor heart murmur and my mom has many heart conditions this helped me thank you!
Finally I found a perfect one.. Thank you so much for this effective educational video I am so grateful... I have been looking for this type video for so longggg!!!
Thank you. I have tinnitus and any attempt to osculate outdoors or in a moving ambulance without an amplified stethoscope has, so far, been a waste of time . I also didn’t have a reliable reference for comparison of the heart sounds - till now. Would it be possible to get a brief explanation of each condition, what exactly we are listening to and looking for on the ekg with each.
At mitral stenosis , there is a split in S2 due to delayed closure of aortic valve , bcz the filling of left ventricle takes more time than that of right ventricle .
I hear a sound like squeaking or something like that under my neck and around . Not all the time but at night and when i change positions it stops. What is this? I have done ultrasound sound all are good. Im 25
Thank you sir for the collection. I too want to collect heart sound, But I could not understand where should a place my cardiomicrophone so that I could get good data
Would a transient split s2 explain why I can feel & mostly hear (against my bed per say) a seemingly irregular beat? And excuse me here but - a double boom & then like triple one? Or is this my lack of medical knowledge? I only ask because I get occasions where it feels like a flutter in my chest, & as I say, it’s audible
I use to feel like I had a butterfly around my heart when I was younger. For a good couple years, I can feel my heart like double, triple beat ESPECIALLY while lying down and sometimes while just standing up. It scares me .
Ashley Youger palpitations. I had this happen to me because i started a cardio program and a new strong pre workout and it was too much it went away after a couple days but it was scary. If it’s chronic a doctor might have to reset your heart or you might have to make changes to your diet, exercise or other lifestyle stuff lol not saying anything but even lack of sleep could be stress enough. Good luck
My heart doctor told me it’s common to have mv regurgitation. I also have the same thing, and have yearly visits just to make sure it doesn’t worsen. But overall, it is a very common thing and sometimes you are just born with it.
When I'm laying down is mostly when I can feel my heart feel like it beats twice at once, sometimes I can feel it when I'm standing up. I'm 25 years old . Is this normal?
Well, I've been having problem scheduling my tests because I think my doctor's scripts are out of date so I'm just now scheduling today but I pinky promise to keep you updated. Don't mess around with it, go get it checked. I've should of done this a couple years ago lol
I can’t tell which one mine is but sometimes it feels like it’ll do 2 beats on one side (s2, s1) don’t know which one all I know is sometimes my heart goes the normal bump bump sound but then it goes bump bump, bump bump, BUMPBUMP bump, bump
maybe you're having a nightmare and when waking up your heart actually works harder in the morning cause maybe your dehydrated and preparing your body to move so it pumps harder and faster that's why we feel weak when waking up?
@@Switcher-Switcher I had this problem now i am feeling pain like some sprt of needle is placed in there and also that i am not able to bear palputation can you help me through this that what is happening or what damage is done
There is something wrong with my heart. When ever I get anxious or feel a very strong emotion of any sort, it makes this beeping noise, and I can’t find anyone else with the same problem. I’ve had EKG’s done and they didn’t find anything. I have a recording where you are able to hear my heartbeat externally. It is quite unnerving. Is there any diagnosis of this anywhere?
Hey Prof Oak, we definitely understand your point, but we can learn a lot by listening to heart sounds that are abnormal without listening to the patients heart beat when it was healthy at one point. In an ambulance, you won’t have the luxury of pulling up historical patient records. So in our line of work you have to know how to recognize patterns and make educated patient treatment decisions.
EMTprep this isn’t an ambulance and a classroom setting/educational video is definitely a place where I’d picture a baseline being shown to provide contrast
0:12 aortic stenosis
0:36 atrial septal defect
0:59 holosystolic murmur
1:20 innocent (physiologic) murmur
1:42 mitral stenosis
2:04 mitral valve prolapse
2:25 normal S1/S2
2:43 persistent split S2
3:04 S3 sound
3:24 split S1 sound
3:44 transient split S2
Thank You✌️
@Elisha Sergio the first thing i see about it in the search results are that it’s a scam lol

If I have persistent split is that bad ?

I am so grateful... I have been looking for this type video for so longggg!!!
Very Helpful, thank you.
By any chance we can get the same video while showing the EKG as well?
An EKG may not be helpful.
EKG looks at the “electrical wiring”, the sounds in this video are the “plumbing”.
An Echocardiogram would go well here.
I’m only eight years old and I’m…board watching this
This is AWESOME! thank you!
Thank you for video.
But can u add which situation/emotions makes heart beats different???
1. Stenoza aortalna = zwężenie zastawki aortalnej
2. Ubytek przegrody międzyprzedsionkowej
3. Szmer holosystoliczny --> niemal jednakowa głośność podczas całej fazy skurczu
4. Szmer niewinny --> krótki, niestały i niepromieniujący, fizjologiczny u wielu dzieci
5. Stenoza mitralna = zwężenie zastawki dwudzielnej
6. Wypadanie płatka zastawki mitralnej
7. Normalne tony serca
8. Trwałe rozdwojenie tonu 2
9. Trzeci ton serca
10. Rozdwojenie tonu 1
11. Przemijające rozdwojenie tonu 2
This is impressive! Thank you
So many sound so similar and when I’m there listening to a heart I can’t differentiate any of the murmurs, they even sound like stenosis too.
