I've never seen a great performer show as much happiness and joy in performing his wonderful songs. We need some of his happiness today.😊 Of course, you look very happy too, Andy! Best wishes 🇦🇺
This was when I was a kid,so I may not have it all correct.I definitely remember the touching moments, which was something you never saw on TV at the time.I wonder if he knew he was sharing those moments.I believe the show came about because someone cancelled at short notice,so it went out at peak time.Divine intervention?
I had no idea Frank Skinner did another George Formby documentary! I'd love to watch the whole thing. The joy on Frank's face when he marvels at Andy's uke skills is great to see, and no wonder, what talent!
He was an absolute legend and I think I’ve watched all of his films but if I have I can watch them over and over again in fact he’s on the tv in the morning…. Turned out nice again 1941 so I’ll be pressing that record button!
Fantastic video, knowing that this was George formby's last tv appearance before his death brings a tear to the eye, But his legacy remains to this day through fantastic players like yourself and Steven Sproat and the good work of the George Formby Society who do so much to keep his memory alive and let's not forget Frank Skinner he's coming on pretty well with the ukulele two
It were an honour to meet Andy Eastwood and share a conversation with him on a recent cruise, such a talented guy not just with ukulele, banjalele, but also guitar, piano and my oh my on the violin, with his witt, humour and obvious talent he had the audience thoroughly entertained and transported back to old time music hall, also a thoroughly nice guy. A pleasure to meet you Andy !

classic.
I see George Formby in Benny Hill.
Hi mr Eastwood quick question are you doing anything for George formby’s birthday
Probably won’t have time... it’s a day full of uke lessons this year!
Was this part of a longer documentary?
Yes it was - 3 part series.
This is a lovely clip, and your duet at the end is fantastic. What was the documentary called please?
It was called 'What A Performance' - time it was shown again!
Thank-you
