      If you are doing sublimation: Polyester garments (white & light colors), A-Sub paper for designs (mirrored on computer), Butcher paper, and heat press.
      If you doing heat transfer paper: Any color Cotton garments. PPD (might be other products out there, check Heat Press Nation), Jet ink for designs (not mirrored), parliment paper (should come with heat transfer paper), heat press.

    The only thing I can say about this paper and I don’t understand why it did this, but I made an apron with image. The apron is 100% polyester, but the apron is red, RED RED! The paper printed out really well and beautiful colors. But once I printed it on the apron, all the images turned red! I wish I could show you on here. I have like 20 pictures on it. So now I’m gonna try it again on a white 100% polyester to see what happens. I’m sure it will be fine this time. But just wanted to warn you about this paper and the color red. I did follow directions.

      a year later- what happened was color migration,
      the red ink from the apron sublimated into the transfer. the only way i know of to fix that is to use a blocker layer inbetween the apron and the transfer to keep the ink from going thru the printed side-
      i learned this the same way, and used what i had laying around to figure it out,
      i pressed chrome htv first as a blocker layer and then pressed the heat transfer over and it worked. the red didnt bleed through

    this is not DTF direct to film cuz we do not see the film or the powder. Is this called sublimation PPD? Poscript Page Description. What about the ink? is it a regular office ink jet printer that comes with its regular ink? or do you need a special ink. On this type of printing I keep on seeing they cut the edges that is white, why is that? and lastly, aside the home iron, can you use a heat press preset to a certain temperature??

      Hey. I have WF-7840 & EcoTank 3760. Difference is WF can print 8.5x11", 11x17", and 13x19" vs ET 3760 8.5x11" Now there is a Ecotank 15000 that does same as WF 7840. Depends your budget.

    • @diywithkenny8399
      @diywithkenny8399  3 роки тому +1

      WF 7840/7820 estimate $300 print all paper sizes, EcoTank 15000 estimate $600 print all paper sizes. Then there other models that will be different and prices goes down. Add also the EcoTank easier to convert to sublimation.

    • @diywithkenny8399
      @diywithkenny8399  3 роки тому +1

      Final note, did some quick search.. ET-15000 would be my personal choice (just need ink), but WF 7840 or 7820 can still be good and at cheaper price (but will have to change chips, get refill cartridges, get ink, and will have to get more chips UNTIL they make chips dont have to change). My 2cents. hope that helps.

      Heat Transfer Paper - printing a design onto a sheet of heat transfer paper using an inkjet or laser printer. Then heat press onto any cotton color garment.
      Sublimation Paper - print design using sublimation ink. Then heat press is to polyester garment (white and light colors only, polyester blends 50% and up). 100% polyester best results.

      The heat press in this video has a pressure knob that rotates (rises and lowers the press). If you lower it too low, it won't press (close) on garment. You have to try out the knob and keep it at the height that allows for high pressure and allows heat to press down.

      You may have too much pressure on your heat press, should be a knob that you can turn; turn clockwise more pressure. turn counter- clockwise less pressure.. should be able to adjust when top plate lifted, can adjust off so just lay a shirt down, loosen pressure, then you can see from there.. may have to adjust a few times but not so tight where you have it now.

    • @diywithkenny8399

      Hello. My honest opinion on sublimation for the PPD product, better off using regular jetink. Only way it will work for sublimation is to tack down the ppd on garment, the. use your sublimation print paper (+design/image printed on A-Sub or whatever), then heat press it 390 to 400 degrees, 45 seconds more or less. All depends on your equipment. Lot of extra steps FYI. Hope that can answer it all.

It’s a life is good design and has 25 tiny birds in the background and it’s been washed over 50xs and still as nice as the first day I made it. Sublimation is completely different and I doubt it will last, your supposed to mirror yr imagine and apply it to the material, this stays on the paper so it’s not gonna last as long
