Wow... The Boys and Girls at Swift have been busy over the Off Season. No matter what style of canoe or Pack Canoe you choose. You will not be disappointed. I own the 14 ft Prospector Pack Canoe in Kevlar Fusion and I can say that for solo tripping with a dog and gear, it is more than stable and has lots of room for Me, my Gear, my Dog and for my Camera gear to shoot my videos for my UA-cam Channel. My Self Reliance Edition. Love it. Mr. James and Cali do not quit; whatever he's doing, I can't wait to see how it turns out. Found him on UA-cam mid 2015, about same time UA-cam became my main source of content. Wranglerstar, Hickok45, Nutnfancy, Diresta, Samurai Carpenter, My Self Reliance, etc, right? Found Swift through a website, Rutabaga PaddleSports, Madison WI. This store with easy lake access holds an annual event allowing the public to try out boats. Canoecopia. I trust Rutabaga. They like Swift. Thank you Swift for the excellent videos up on UA-cam. I can't wait to decide on my build. It's between the Keewaydin 15 and the Prospector 14 right now. All I know is it'll be a solo. Outdoor sports have flown off the shelves during this pandemic. We see it everywhere we go. I have a feeling it'll be a while before delivery, but the anticipation is part of the fun. Awesome impressions, thank you again.

I've been wanting one of these canoes for the past year. Over Christmas and the last week or so I'm hoping to make it happen this Spring and count it as a late Christmas and early birthday present. They've sure came a long ways in building canoes since the one I currently own a heavy weight square back fiberglass freighter style canoe. Great for one lake, hauling lots of weight and a small motor or trolling motor but at 100 lbs there's no way I want to portage it. I was looking at the Northern line in the Prospector knowing I live up north (north of Temagami) in rugged terrain and my gear tends to get beat up quite a bit but we'll see what I end up getting. Definitely like the adjustable height seat, the fishing package for rod holder and camera gear, and the adjustable side foot braces. Seeing this new line of solos, I'm in love. 👍❤🎣🛶
I'd check out the Expedition Kevlar laminate for a Swift boat, it's tougher than the Northerns and lighter too
@@SwiftCanoeKayak yes I really love the Shawn James special too. It has everything I would want in a solo canoe. I bring my little dog with me as well, usually camera gear, fishing rod and or hunting gear if its Fall hunting season and of course camping gear so that's why the Prospector had my interest. I'll definitely be in touch this year.

Can anyone tell me if Swift has financing available??
I want that exact prospector 14 just with added same color skid plates. How do I go about getting that? I'm in NY. Also can it be carried without a yoke?
We have several dealers throughout NY, check out swiftcanoe.com/dealers/. Yes it can be carried without a yoke, but it can become uncomfortable if you're carrying a long distance.
Rookie question: Decision criteria for a solo versus a pack canoe?
bottom line is whether you prefer kayak style paddling with a double blade and your feet forward, or sitting up and using a single blade canoe paddle. There are pros and cons to each, but it's really a matter of preference.
Is it possible to buy Swift canoe in Sweden or somewhere in Europe🤔👌
