I just realized Fred you have the same car as me. With the same setup... Subaru Legacy. You need to put those Mss 6 IB in the kicks like my car you will love it unbelievable midbass from those 6.5's they are amazing drivers. Steg Masterstroke line is phenomenal especially for the price.

I absolutely love the sound of these STEG 3-way MSS's. My only concern are the size of the 4" midranges and 2.2"/2.7" tweeters, as I think they would look too large for my 2017 MK7 GTI. I want to build and a-pillar design just like this, running the fronts active, and then I would transfer my current Audison Voce K6 components (that I currently run in the front) to the rear, and run those active as well (I desire this so when I have rear passengers, they can also be immersed in SQ).
Do you think these STEG MSS midranges and tweets would be too large to fit on my a-pillar? If so, I have pieced together what I think would be a great second option (STEG MSS6 6.5" midbass, STEG MSS30 3" midrange, and STEG QK1 1" tweeters). My only concern with piecing this option is that I would have wished I just bought the full MSS 3-way component set as a kit instead, as I think they would play a bit more clearly for SQ. My second option would be a bit less ($850 vs $1,270), but price doesn't bother me much, as this is going to be a process into my dream build for my GTI. Please let me know what you think.
If you chose to upgrade I would go for the new MSS-kit comes with the MSS1m tweeters. Even if its bigger then 3’ it’s well worth it. Your vehicle has great acoustics. With good 10’ sub, quality DSP + sound quality amplifier. your system will be amazing.. thanks for watching

Hey Fred its been a while. As you know I have both the Mss1 and Mss1m set. I have yet to hear the Mss1m, what set do you think is better original or mss1m? By the way this track was ignorant in my old car with 9 in midbass underseat. My absolute favorite track to showcase midbass! Keep it up Fred!

What do you think is better, a set of these speakers or the Alpine HDZ-653 Status? For me, the Alpine is better realized and built and the quality of materials is also higher.

having to amplify mss1, mss3, and bm8 what could I use? better m.msk 130.4 double bridge for bm8 and qk200.4 for midrange and tweeter, pair of 130.4, or qk200.4 for midrange and tweeter and qk200.2 for bm8? thanks!

Sounds really good there. Do you know is that audio system - ass set same as steg mss with different branding? My dealer told me he is not allowed to sell steg in my country and recommemded that ass set
@@seppotaalasmaa8432 the ASS is the old MSS. The New MSS comes with newer tweeters that sounds way better.
