NOTE: If I ever have a glucose spike as a result of a review, I will ABSOLUTELY mention it. No mention = no spike (for me). For this review, I ate 3 pancakes with syrup, 1 waffle with syrup, and half of a stuffed waffle and my glucose moved less than 10 points.
We take waffles seriously in our house ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUfphIgghPSpAXNq6OG2WRYsFVqylcqMn and worked our old one through many years of Sunday brunches till it finally gave out on us. Our old one only made two at a time, this one makes four! Nicely sized 1 inch thick which are lovely! Now the kids don't have to wait as long to eat our weekly waffle breakfast and everyone's are hot if we wait and eat all together! Setting 3 seems to work perfect for golden brown. Be sure to pour the batter in the center of each waffle square, not the center of the iron like the novice that posted the scorched waffles photo. About a 1/4 to 1/3 cup of batter in each seemed to work well for us. We tested making just one at a time so we could use all the remaining batter and it made it just as fluffy and golden as when we made 4!
Thank you SO MUCH for all the lovely words, Steve! We try really hard to make sure all of our products have the best ingredients, and we really appreciate all your feedback! Now we got to try the stuffer! hahaha!
The Stuffler...sounds like a bad villain name from 80's comic books. I have had 3 griddles in my life and they all suffer from this issue; you can see the heating element path even through the top side which is always where the hot spots are. I have always just dealt with it since I don't have a better option to have large area griddle-ing. Batter looked awesome but I think if I buy another kitchen gadget I might have to build an annex on the kitchen for storage Walden farms stuff isn't the best but I like it and it hasn't killed me yet, that I know of. Thanks for the 400% effort and posting.
Steve this recipe really frustrated me because I don’t have a waffle iron or a chuffle maker! So I improvised by using your basic waffle recipe and made pancakes. I need to try the recipe and yes it was eggy but I liked it, so I ordered the Stuffler … it arrives Tuesday. Thank you so much for all your videos. Keep Smiling.
Oh Steve, you've done it again😂 "Hello I'm Janis & I'm a kitchen gadget addict"❗ I just bought Presto's Stuffler "via your Amazon link". Your had me at corn bread savory, and the cream cheese & strawberry is off the charts. I probably will be using your chaffle recipes instead.
Me too! My counters ate covered with great cooking machines. I have an awesome tabletop (on the counter) griddle with a lid. I use it for everything, especially cooking my eggs. It's huge and nothing ever sticks to it. I cannot remember the brand right now though. I got it when I saw it on 2 Krazy ketos videos. Expensive but so worth it.
Thanks Steve for a great video. I love my stuffler and break it out for special brunches. I always stuff the waffles with cooked Scrambled eggs, cooked sausage and a little cheddar cheese and top with just a little syrup...ya know so not to over do it 😉. Never would have considered jam and cream cheese and now can't wait to try it. The stuffler isn't an often used appliance but my husband's eyes always lights up when I pull it out for brunch. Can't wait to see what else you come up with!!
Hey, Steve, I highly recommend trying the Walden Farms Maple Walnut Sugar Free syrup. It's slightly nutty. I don't even like walnuts, but this syrup was really delicious. Loved the video and thanks for the review!❤️
I’m in total agreement with the folks who say their kitchens are already cluttered with gadgets. That being said, hubby and I are doing a bit of decluttering tomorrow. I’m confident I’ll have enough free space for a Stuffler 😁
If I had one more inch of space in my kitchen, I might be ordering a Stuffler.... Steve, it is obvious that this was one of the more difficult recipe/product videos you have produced (LOL!!) Sorry you had to eat all those pancakes and waffles, but thank you for doing all the heavy lifting and taking the hits for your Tribe. Also, the dramatic removal of the glasses was a nice touch. (still giggling!)
Thank you for noticing the technical aspects. My new two camera (three, if you count my iPhone) setup with the overhead tripod has upped the overall difficulty of filming and editing, but I think it will result in higher production value as I get more comfortable with it.
I’m with you. I have so much on my counters I can’t fit one more thing. I have my air fryer I have my Insta pot I have a juicer I don’t use anymore I need to get rid of I have my food processor and hidden away our various small blenders as I dropped my blender base two days ago and broke it so now I don’t have one. It was from the 1990s and had the glass pitcher part that people die for because they made of plastic after the 90s
I've made quite a few chaffles with the Stuffler from "stuffed canoli" to "pizza pocket", and it takes FOREVER for them to cool down to an eatable temperature.
Loved your review! I have also noticed that most pancake mixes have that gritty texture to them - so I'm stoked that this doesn't. Really looking forward to giving it a try. As for the Dash Griddle, I'm not surprised it was inconsistent. America's Test Kitchen has a great review of griddles - where they saw the same thing on a variety of them. Their review is on UA-cam - search for ATK Griddle Review and it will come up (not sure if you're ok with folks putting links into the comments section here). Glad I watched!
Steve, I’ve tried that pancake mix plus many others but nothing can beat your carnivore pancake recipe. I make them on a griddle and in my Dash waffle griddles.
@@chrisdawson3859 I totally agree, they are a staple now for me. I like to make them in my Dash Waffle griddles and freeze them. When I want one or two I just pop them in the toaster or microwave.
Fun vid, Steve! Thanks for doing a 4x review! Here's a tweak I do to adjust waffle crispiness...I made a waffle recipe that was floppy and shrank back in spite of the claim of being "crisp". I added a little whey protein for structure and holding power, and BOOM, crispy exterior that held perfect, beautiful shape as a Belgian waffle. They did tend to get slightly too airy, but I was pretty happy. Then my son (not keto) objected to the waffle being too dry. Nothing is ever good enough for him. I knew what to try next--a blend of whey and casein proteins. Voila--Belgian waffle that holds its shape, still crisp on the outside, but more moist on the inside and not overly airy. Totally passes the picky kid test. I learned about the casein thing from an anabolic UA-camr. Casein retains moisture in baking, whey dries things out. Super useful, plus, I really try to limit whey since it's insulinogenic, and casein is much slower digesting. I try to use a blend when it works. Thanks again!
Would you mind sharing your waffle recipe for the stuffler? I've tried a lot of keto waffle batter recipes in the stuffler from the two keto versions the manufacturer provides which I find a bit dry, lacking in flavor, and brown too quickly, to the myriad of keto waffle recipes out there but haven't found goldilocks yet. The best one so far I've tried in the stuffler has actually been the keto bakes mix reviewed here, but was a little eggy, and pricey.
Love your reviews. Always something new to keep Keto from becoming boring. Made my first stuffed waffle this morning and it came out fabulous. I’m going to have fun with this. Thanks!
Thanks Steve for another great review and thank you for introducing me to Ketobakes products. I can have cheeseburgers and sandwiches again, yeah! Now waffles too, I'm in heaven!

I guess it’s bacon and Marscapone stuffed crepes with maple bacon syrup for dinner! I hope all is well with the entire SK clan. Be well my friend🙏
I think the Keto Bakes mix is the best I have ever tried, especially for how low carb they are. I pop my waffles into the toaster for a few minutes after removing from the waffle maker and they are so crispy and yummy!

I've been researching the heck out of that stuffler. I'm still on the fence. It's expensive for what it is but it has very few competitors offering something similar. And it might just be my personal preferences but it appears to make really dark waffle that almost look overdone but that's probably somewhat a necessity in order to cook them all the way through. One tip I'll share from my research for anyone also considering it... If you freeze your soft fillings it'll work even better. That stops it from mixing with the batter and preserves the pocket in the middle. Anyway great video, thanks for the review 👍🏾
Steve, you make me want to get back in the kitchen and start cooking again. I’m 46 and haven’t really done any serious (😅) cooking since I was a senior in high school.
I'm happy with my Presto Liddle Griddle.....good for one or two people---the surface is about the size of an 8 × 10 photo. It doesn't heat perfectly over the entire surface but what griddle does...with the way it was designed to distribute heat through aluminum. There will be hotter and cooler spots.
Most of the Keto Bakes mixes I have tried are very good and probably the best of all the keto mixes I have tried. The stuffed waffle looked great, but no uni-taskers for me.
I really liked their waffles. I put the extra in the fridge and then put them in the toaster the next day, came out great. Their buns are really good and the biscuits pretty good. I was so so disappointed in the pizza crust, I couldn't even finish the pizza.
@@SeriousKeto I agree! stuffed shuffles, eggwich, regular sandwich, other than the waffles…. All kind of things work! basically breakfast, lunch, or dinner ideas!

Hey Steve! I ordered (and enjoyed) the recommended Keto Bakes Waffle mix…I was only able to get a total of 4 stuffed waffles out of the package (KINDA PRICEY). Any chance you might be able to come up with a copycat recipe? I have tried your carnivore batter and enjoy it but hubby doesn’t care for the porkrinds (I guess). Thanks!
Hey Steve thanks for the great review....I can't wait to try this product! Now I need a Stuffler! Lol Where did you get the Walden Farms Maple Bacon Syrup?

Steve, you are getting some serious biceps …looking good! Watch out Thomas DeLauer😁
I’m trying. Thanks for noticing. 😊
I really appreciate the reviews! The stuffler looks like a lot of fun. Love from Vermont
I agree. I think this thing has a TON of possibilities.
Wow 4 for 1 Thank you, Steve - wishing you and your family a great weekend
Thanks Steve. Great review
Congrats on 200k subscribers!
Thanks
Most of the Keto Bakes mixes I have tried are very good and probably the best of all the keto mixes I have tried. The stuffed waffle looked great, but no uni-taskers for me.
Aweee! We love you, Cheryl!
I have the Presto Stuffler. And it’s Amazing.
Walden farms thousand island dressing makes a great big Mac bowl.
I do like they're syrup
I really liked their waffles. I put the extra in the fridge and then put them in the toaster the next day, came out great. Their buns are really good and the biscuits pretty good. I was so so disappointed in the pizza crust, I couldn't even finish the pizza.
Oh my god! This stuffler version is a killer! Yummm
The possibilities with this thing are pretty much limited only to our imagination. 😉
@@SeriousKeto I agree! stuffed shuffles, eggwich, regular sandwich, other than the waffles…. All kind of things work! basically breakfast, lunch, or dinner ideas!
Oh my word... gonna check out this Stuffer...
Blessings 🌞
Great video!!! It made me hungry for pancakes, and I haven't even missed pancakes!! 😋 Yum
Seriously, your looking good man! I need some collagen in my life.
There will be a site-wide sale at Perfect Keto starting Monday if you're looking to pick up some collagen.
My Stuffler is arriving tomorrow… Keto Spanakopita!! And after that how about a dessert chaffle with custard filling? This is going to be so much fun 👏👏👏
Great idea!!
That stuffed waffle looks great, might have to check out the stuffler .
Thank you Steve.
Great 4 for 1 video! Think I need a stuffler and some Keto Bakes waffle mix right now
Lol
Where did you get the Walden Farms Maple Bacon Syrup?
Just my regular grocery store by the other sugar free syrups.
great review Steve. thanks
Yum! Makes me want pancakes! Thanks Steve!
Did you happen to check to see if you had a glucose reaction from the syrup? It sounds like a win but I’m always leery about adding that stuff in. Thanks again!
No reaction. Had there been, I would have mentioned it. 😉
The stuffler looks amazing! And for a clean maple syrup surrogate, try RX Sugar brand which is all allulose and flavours.
I’ll check that out. Thanks.
That stuffed waffle looked absolutely delicious!!!
Do you think putting the waffles in a toaster for a minute or so would help make them crispier?
I like a little crispiness to the exterior of my waffles, so if toasting were to achieve that, I'd say "yes".
I've been wanting a good pancake mix, Birch Benders is pretty good but not enough to convince the family. Thanks for the review!
Side note: I can't think of how to say this without sounding weird, but I think I'm old enough that I can ... you're looking great, you can see the workouts are working! Great job!
Thanks.
I always put Dash waffles in the toaster to crisp them up. 😉
Would love to see more stuffer recipes
