The new Vandoren Profile series Alto Sax mouthpieces offer the player a round sound, with clear and immediate response and good projection.
With a new angle design on the beak, this sleek new model feels very comfortable in the mouth and works particularly well with the new V21 reeds, and indeed the silver V12 models as well. The facing curve has also been modified on this series to help with create a more immediate response and rounded sound.

I believe that Alastair Penman has had the neck of his Selmer alto bent upwards to change the angle of the mouthpiece in the mouth, following the recommendation of John Harle.
