Changing something's name to Unknown is a pretty good interruption imo. This is great support, we have some good boss monsters now! Finally I can play Heraldic Beasts at locals!
Always happy when restrictions prevent cards from being used as the disgusting things we call "Engines". Also this is a good start to heraldic beast support.
Heraldics can actually become a really powerful engine in Ryzeal. Heraldry patriarch is an XYZ that foolishes two Heraldic Beasts when sent to grave, on a non once per turn effect, so you can access the entire engine off of ext ryzeal.

I read the cards somewhere on Instagram and instead of unknown (for the big boi xyz and the spell) the name was herald something. to counter the mirror match, idk if it's a mistranslation
I tried to play heraldic beast some time ago with time thief as you are locked into psychic xyz and their spells and traps are pretty good. they have a double teleport and a double reborn. Kinda sucks that the new support locks you into heraldic beasts tho instead of psychic xyz like all the other cards, now you are literally restricted to only 3 xyz monsters.
the lock is releated to the materials being numbers or heraldic, u can still go in to redoer perpetua. From what i tested so far, griphon leads to, new 69, new spell, redoer with trap
hopt cannot be reused even with a "change this card effects with that card's effects" it has to be specifically "this effect becomes that card's (location) activation effect"

Heraldry Patriarch (effect is to destroy all monsters with the same name except one) is also a pseudo-board wipe with flash.
Taking away a monster's name could be DEVASTATING to archetypes that need materials of their name to do things too.
If only it also takes away attribute and type, changing it to basically a nibiru token.
Would be a nice little "removal" of sorts.
Ryzeal and maliss kinda needs name, but at the same time they can play around it

This might be unpopular but engines are one of the few things that allow creativity in deck building
It's being used as an engine in rayzeal already
if the engines synergize it's awesome. if you're playing kashtira in everything it sucks

You can only use heraldic beasts and number for the rest of the turn essentially though
If ya want a Rank 4 engine, just play SHS or the Spirit package

ryzeal can be very good in this deck since you can send patriarch for a double foolish burial with EX ryzeal.
