MMFS give access to both your savings(capital) and returns when you need it but a Sacco you can only access a loan because the deposits and capital are permanent resources of the sacco. A sacco will only make returns I e Interest and dividend available. So the two are important because they offer different purpose or value. One can also borrow in a sacco at 12% and invest in an mmf 18% enjoying a net income of 6%

Hey Cate. You can join by 1. Physically visiting their offices 2. Opening an account online through the website or app but not all mmfs can be opened this way. Mali, SC Shillingi ,Etica, zimele, ICEA, Britam can be opened through this method

Can you clarify on the income tax rate?
Tax is 15% on interest earned only.
And does not apply to the original amount of money saved.
