I Found a MONSTER Living in My Pond!

- In today's video, I drain my backyard mystery pond to see what's living inside! Recently my friend put in a catfish that he says will be my biggest fish yet... But the only way to find out what it is, is to catch it out! So we started netting around and we caught TONS of aquarium fish including koi, goldfish, cichlids, catfish, oscars, baby turtles, gar, AND MUCH MORE! After I almost caught the pond monster, we then started draining the pond to make catching it easier. As the water level dropped, we started seeing all the fish in the pond, and even snakes that we had to remove! After catching out the rest of the fish like clown knife fish, eels, bichirs, and more, we then spotted the monster fish which we netted out and put into my predatory fish pond! Comment down below what kind of catfish it was, and a name for it! We then put all the fish back into the pond, except for a few that we relocated around my backyard! I wonder where on his property this pond is located because if it's in his front yard and accessible to the public I wonder 🤔 if people come by and drop stuff in them..... My dad loved fishing and he passed away in 2019 so watching this channel brings me so much joy!
The snake in your pond is a king snake. For it to be a coral snake the red and yellow colors must touch each other. "Red touch yellow, kill a fellow, red touch black, friend of Jack."

The snake was a beautiful scarlet kingsnake. Your friend is right, he's harmless. But, definitely never handle a snake if you aren't 100% sure...

That is a Pseudoplatystoma corruscans ....is a species of long-whiskered catfish native to the São Francisco and Paraná-Paraguay River basins in South America. This species grows to a length of 166 centimetres (65 in)
Just looked at this and I think your right, though I’ll stick with the other name, spotted sorubim is much easier to say 👍🏻

The snake that you guys saw is a Florida Scarlet Snakes. I'm 97% sure ! It is indeed easy to mistake it for a coral snake because it has the red, black and yellowish/white stripes that we know to avoid. However, if you take a closer look at this snake and remember the rhyme, you will see that the red band touches the black band, which is “safe for Jack.” There are some other differences as well. The nose is red instead of black, and it has no fangs. Oh and the belly is also white instead of having the color rings go all around the snakes body !

Bobby, I did the best I could keeping count of the fish you were pulling out of the pond until you stopped. Including the monster fish at the end; 65 total fish and 2 turtles. Great video!
That's not an Achara, that's a Spotted Sorubim and they get to be almost 6 feet long. What a beautiful specimen!!!
With the Bicher, they are also air breathers. It would be a good idea to have a place near the surface for it to rest. I personally have 3 different of those silly little betta hammock leaf things that I've never seen a betta actually use. However, my bicher loves them because he can sit up closer to the surface when he wants to.

It looks like this catfish might be a Synodontis ocellifer catfish, but there are so many different species of catfish, it's hard to be sure. I love these drain the pond videos! I agree with what someone else said in their comments that it would be cool to see a tour of all your fish. I would like to see you drain all your ponds to see what other crazy fish you have that you have forgotten about. Goliath might be a good name for it because it is the biggest fish you have.
Synodontis ocellifer only gets about 25cm.

I think the “coral” is a non venomous milk, the coloration isn’t vivid enough, but if you don’t 100% know then don’t mess with it, but don’t fear monger.

Bobby, two of the mystery fish are a Whiptail catfish and some species of Botia loach. Actually you have two types of Botia, one with red fins. That mystery "eel" looks like a Lamprey. It is a parasite fish because it attaches to other fish and sucks their blood.
