    I hear ya. We had 4 children in less than 3.5 years (1st pregnancy was twins).
    I was 'numb' for 5 years. Now, we have 10 beautiful grandkidlets.
    Great wisdom for your son . . LOL. Bless you all for choosing joy !!!

    Here's what I put in the pie: 1 block firm tofu. 2/3 of a pound of smooth Peanut Butter. 1/4 cup of vegetable oil. 2/3 cup of honey. 1/2 cup water. Blend until very smooth. Take out about 1-2 cups of this Peanut Butter filling into a bowl. Add to the rest of the filling in the blender: 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. Blend. Pour chocolate filling into pie pan that has 1/3 box of Graham crackers crunched up and 3 Tbs melted butter pressed to the bottom. Spoon the bowl of not-chocolate filling on top in a spiral--it does not need to be neat or precise. Melt 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and 1 tsp vegetable oil over low heat and drizzle back and forth on top.
    Here's the part that makes it look all fancy: use a butter knife, and "cut" through the top 1/2 inch of filling from the edge to the center about every one inch, like spokes on a bicycle. This will swirl the colors together and make it super beautiful!
    Freeze for around 20-30 minutes with no covering (so the chocolate doesn't stick to everything), then cover with plastic wrap or a bag and freeze for 8 or more hours. Eat!

      They grow all over WNC though I have never run across the fruit in the wild. These came from a urban food forest in Asheville. Neat place.

    Well, I must say, that was the most epic encouragement speech to a toddler I have EVER heard. I think Justice was impressed too. It was an effective speech to as evidenced by the blissful look on that champion’s face. Arthur, you crack me up.. Thanks for your honesty.

    You are such wonderful people. What a blessing you are, sharing your healthy, balanced lifestyle with us. Love the fiddle music in the barn. Are there studio recordings of her music at all? If not, what is the name of the song she was playing? Maybe I can find it on an album online somewhere. Thanks for all the LOVE, LIGHT & LIFE you spread to all of us. Truly amazing! God bless you!!!

    That really is a beautiful way to phrase how we can all handle a situation. For us, farm life, cooking homegrown meals, homeschooling 2 kiddos, hubby's full-time job, etc, it can all be a little crazy at times. Thank you for the reminder. Also, We love 'Blueberries For Sal"! lol wonderful video Art. Thank you for showing us the real homestead life honey *hugs* love all the natural lessons you teach us...made me wanna go plant a pawpaw tree o.- Let us know how the septic problem works out for you....I don't even put bleach down my septic so fearful of killing the bacteria that breaks down the mess. >.< I'm going to suggest to you guys to have a backup sawdust composting toilet setup. Off-grid folks seem to think they are great. On our one acre our septic is just for two people...ours wouldn't be able to handle 6! :)o think about it! You could go as cheap as a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat on it...keeep the sawdust scoop next to it :)o

    I wish you've rented a longer electric drain auger from a rental company. It' cuts everything in your drain to shreds and cleans it out for a long time. Sulfuric acid has a bad habit of splattering and rarely works the first time.
    I once threw Mr Potato down my dad's toilet and he said, "One day your child is going to torment you by doing the same." My son threw a Ninja Turtle toy called Donatello down my toilet

I know it's alot to ask...but I think y'all will make the sacrifice!!

    • @Brifromscratch
      @Brifromscratch  8 років тому +2

      We will try to do it. Probably a winter video (trying to get the most out of summer before it is gone.) We will put on list. Remind us if we haven't by Dec. Let me clarify for now (I have made this several times): The first list of ingredients is blended in the blender, then you remove half of it and set it aside, add the cocoa to what is left in the blender and mix. Then you have chocolate filling in the blender and non chocolate filling set aside and when you add them together (one then the other) in the pie pan (and mix them slightly but running a knife across several times like you are cutting a pie) it makes the pie nice and marbled with two colors. This is actually unnecessary and does not really change the flavor. But is sure makes it look fancy. Hope that helps. -Art
