Just wanted to drop in and say that this is your best paced and edited series to date. It's not often that I become interested in a long form playthrough of a game, but I've definitely been engrossed in this one! I've been subscribed for a while and you've been putting out a lot of great stuff this year. Thanks for all the amazing videos and look forward to the next episode!

Fighting AI seems to be easy to trick. Anytime you do a self check, like eating, healing, open the inventory they rush in.
I wish I didn't discover this, now they're so easy to cheese

Yeah. This mechanic exists in base anomaly but its cranked up to 11 in gamma. Would make the game easy if it werent for the fact that you spend half the game with weapons that cant easily kill them when they do push
Mines are useful for this.
Place a mine, hide round the corner, declare: "ohh no, I need to reload and take some painkillers.", wait for explosion.

that lag around 14:00 at Foresters could be a game generating a new squad and one of the places the game puts it is right there. And before anyone comments, yes I know about exclusion radius and all other stuff, I have seen a squad spawn there before, like watched them appear from thin air. IDK if it's a bug or feature but it makes me hesitant to loiter around Forester's
i think they could be going from Jupiter over there or other transition point. Because i once was in Cordon and saw a Merc squad right at the Swamp transition (near Xeno), i sneak past them and go to the Swamp, fight the Regegades right at the start of the transition point and those Merc squad spawn in a few moment later.

Man you are number one for stalker channel for me. I started playing stalker because of you (anomaly one) and i still watch you even its late, so sleepy and i slept thru sometime lol you play like real player would do not try to be too immersive or all sort of that keep up the good work mate

I was worried as well for the same reason
Really enjoying this series. In regard to the reload bug, I play the with ammo counter on in the bottom left, and I have noticed that even though the reload animation is finished, the ammo count doesn't go to full for a second or so after sometimes. If I swap weapons or put my gun away or whatever puts my gun down, before the ammo count goes to full even after the animation, the gun won't be reloaded the next time I try and use it. To avoid this, after reloading, I just wait a second or so to do anything after the animation is done just to be sure its reloaded. I hope this helps!
I have noticed that some of the AI is better with some of the weapons
I had given interesting full auto weapons to rookie loner but one that stood up was SIG Arrow
I watched him wipe the floor with 4 cats in seconds so it kinda was a main weapon he had until idiot decided to take on the pseudo at miracle machine even if i told him to hold position by the flame pipe part..
I turned him from Rookie to Professional kinda was tempting to savescum him back but maybe it was time for him to go
You should enable the “gamma reload timing” mod, a lot of the time you think you reload but you switched right before the bullets were put in the gun, there is a mod that fixes all of that and can be enabled in gamma disabled

Hello, nice video again. I have a question, where do you get the VSS Vintorez Merc version? I had a look at the debug menu just to see if its in the game but the only special version I saw was the Venal and Savant version.

I noticed if you give a experienced rank companion or above a good sniper and I really mean a good sniper not something like a Mosin they actually tend to be really useful sniping from a distance but that could just be my feeling on the matter great vid!

The Red Forest always finds a way to mess with stalkers. I hate that place.
Also I tried that stash parkour jump about 20 times and just gave up. Thought it's just impossible 😂
the red forest just seems to have a high "squad-throughput" making people magically apear.

if you want a more fair approach to artifacts in companion inventories, tick on companion carry weight overhaul. It makes it so they get carry weight bonuses from backpacks/attachments/arties, but they also won't take artifacts without containers(the ones that irradiate ofc
I'm trying to follow your playthrough as my first gamma attempt, ofc not with invictus but hard/surv, the only part I miss is artifact spawn so it's day 18 and I struggle to craft high tier artifact even with good arti hunting rades. Without them I don't wanna go to CNPP.
Even with pretty busted start like day 3 full CEBA costume and day 6 ak105 with duty kit it took me super long to find expert tools.
Any tips for artifact crafting?

Quick question, do you use a ReShade preset and if so what one? Also how big of an FPS difference is ReShade? I initially removed it because I had like a 8fps increase after uninstalling but with the new christmas update, they started having this weird ugly preset by default WITHOUT ReShade. So i'd rather my game not look weird
I love how everything in the game think you killed a snork even though it was a giant and it tanked all those shots.
the not loaded gun bug, i think it could be because you switch to another weapon too early before the ammo acutally loaded ( eventhough the animation finished ) so thats why its not loaded. New GAMMA update has a new mod called "Reload Timing Fix" that fixed the issue, gun actually loaded as soon as the reload animation is done.
I always have a bad feeling about the Red Forrest .

What's your graphic settings, and are you using ReShade?
I’m running with a legendary stalker who insists on mag-dumping every enemy no matter what. This is fine except he has a bolt-action rifle, so after the enemies die, he takes the next 10 seconds to fire off another 10 bullets into the ground.
Is the SR-25 better than your 9x39 or RD9-39?

Hey, this "random leaders giving random missions" thing is not necessary for invictus as I know, you can simply ignore this "questline".
Also, for increased speed / longer jumps don't run with 2handed weapon, it slows you down. Just holster your weapon or run with a pistol.
Do you have to do those fake main missions (go to X, do fetch mission) to get the Invictus achievement?
I think it goes until you unlock the Sin faction?
Honestly the Sin quest is so boring I've just started a new game and never finished it - and Invictus is super hard.
pretty sure the invictus challenge have clearly state that "all main missions" which is all the yellow ones
Be happy you have those quests (they are just placeholders). The older versions of Anomaly did not have anything resembling a questline. Quests aren't a priority in Anomaly.
@@szowink The three main missions required are Living Legend, Mortal Sin and Operation Afterglow - in that order. I doubt the endless fetch missions contribute to that, hence the question.
And I have a question. I almost fully upgraded the Monolith Exo and then found Merc ACE Suit. Should I switch to ACE or stick with Exo?
If you have good arties to fill ACE then go with it. Both are good tho
I have 95% full empty and 56% kompass. Will it be enough?
@@hitfan you can use those with the exo. ACE’s only benefits are more belt slots and better speed

At least Sakharov did not give you "Anomalous Study" task - they are weird sometimes. You go to the marked spot and can't do it for some reasons. You can walk around, melting/burning and damaging your suit - nothing works..
Then some completely random spot in the Zone works - even with no anomalies nearby... which is shame because I like nonviolent tasks in the GAMMA.

This is what save scumming was intended for. That "get an artifact" quest is just silly busywork no one likes to do.

This standalone mod is very RAM intensive! You gotta have at least 16GB ram and 6gb vram to play it with some additional mods. Otherwise, you will get so many CTDs (especially with bottlenecked systems).
im having 32gb of RAM and still occasionally ctd with no error ( i supposed that is like what you said ). I think its just GAMMa ( Anomaly ) being GAMMA, old fucked up engine.
@@szowink Idk if it's the engine itself, or my system. Because it happened too back in the hey days of Clear Sky, when 8GB RAM was the most must have Ram amount.
Where is the ammo counter in your hud? You need that to help with reload glitches. The reload doesn't finish until you see the counter reset. If you do anything to interrupt it before the counter updates then the reload is aborted and your gun is empty.

Gauss Rifle or any other sniper on companion just sucks. They need AR or machine gun and they are pretty good.
gamma destroyed the ai, they used to sneak up behind me waiting to the last moment to strike, and now? EnEmY ThEre RuN aT, WhAt Was I dOIng? (3 seconds later). oH eNeMy tHeRe (1 foot away), MmMmM ShOOt. they used to stay behind cover (you know the advantageous position) and wait for you to expose your self, patience used to be required in firefights. now an entire building of monolith will rush you like its a crappy zombies mod for csgo. and on the rare occasion they dont rush you get full auto'd to the head with seemingly no recoil.
are the ai changes in the modlist? i should 86 them. that'll probably break the game, crash on start up. not much of a "modular modpack"
Did Cheeki do exactly what you said? waiting patiently in the previous episode? If you havent played the modlist i dont think you should be so quick to jugde.
In my experience they're both have their dumdum moment and John Wick moment. But i find that their John Wick moment is more present. Especially that feature like in soulslike games, they waited for you to not drawing your gun ( opening inventory, healing, eating ) and then immediately rush, i think that was fair and challenge. And they DO PATIENTLY wait in cover, garuanteed!
Another behavior which is both a pain in the ass and make me appreciate the AI is that they quickly peak out shoot you and then quickly get back in cover. In a common mindset is you would think they will do that again everytime but no, they will slowly crounch peak out and shoot you while you expecting they to be peak out standing and thats enough to kill you.
I dont know what youre talking about the crash on start up and claiming its not a modular modpack tho. If youre not intentionally adding more mods yourself on top of GAMMA, it would likely only crash because you dont have enough RAM or the game has been running too long and its started to get heavy since Anomaly has a old engine.
