And you gotta be vacinated and wear a mask. So it's a bummer l can't go because l won't take that poison. Ted has always been the most haunting and mystic of all those who have portrayed Jesus. There was always something so vulnerable and yet believable about him.
I first saw JCS thru the movie with Ted, then I as a young person growing up in live theater and performing in many plays & musicals, I bought CDs and watched many Broadway versions of JCS. But none compare to the message and version Ted portrays. Love him!!!!

Watched it las night in Madrid...It is my favorite music from any musical and it was fantastic and emotional. Ted is very old now and at first he seemd fragile and I thought he wasnt gonna be able to deliver...and then he sang Gethsemane...WOW...he gave it all he had and it was really beautifull. The play went from less to more and the final number with superstar was just awesome!! All the actors singers and musicians were amazing!! I loved Simona and specially Giorgio Adamo, who was playing Judas...he ROCKED! It was a great expereince seeing Ted Neeley live, I still cant beleive he could perform like that with his age, just impressive! Thank you guys, still got the chills!!
I was 17 when I first saw the movie and it blew my mind! I was captivated and saw it 17 times that first summer it was out. That was quite a feat since I didnt have a car of my own. The movie moved me so much, I went directly to my bible to follow along. I watch it and other versions several times every year and I sing the album many, many times a year. My kids (in their 20's) are also hooked on it and can't wait to watch it with me whenever we are together. I have an original album and other bits of memorabilia. I think I will go listen to it now.

Good interview. I saw Jesus Christ Superstar in the 80's with Ted Neeley and the original cast , but he didn't really answer the question. He didn't say that he has made Jesus Christ his Savior. Are you saved or not Ted , l would like to know ?
You don't know the bible at all then Ted as God says He will destroy it with fire. Also it's gonna get worse not work it out read revelation!! are you saved? Didn't say anything about you giving your life to the saviour just that you went to church. Come out and be seperate says the Lord. I think you know of Jesus and what he stood for but not the bible truth as reality.You need to know Him as your saviour He's judge of all.

I Watch the movie Jesus Christ superstar as a kid in the 70s and I memorize every word till this day love Ted Neely and Yvonne Elleman!!
That man on stage is still the walking embodiment of Christ. You can feel the energy coming off of him.
