    Today iam doing Vattayappam for you.. i have received so many requests for this recipe.. Vattayappam commonly made with Sugar.. and this will be in pure white color.. Here we will do one Jaggery Vattayappam, which is more healthy and tasty..
    Ingredients
    Raw Rice - 1 Cup ( 240 gm)
    Grated Coconut - 1/2 of 1 Coconut
    Jaggery - 150 -200 Gm
    Boiled Rice - 1/2 Cup
    Instant Yeast - 1/2 Tsp
    Salt - 1/4 tsp
    Coconut Oil - 2 Tsp
    For Boiling Jaggery - 1/2 Cup Water
    Grinding Rice - 1 Cup Water

    Mdm, in our place we call it Ullayaappam. We make it using an Idly pan.
    After we pour the batter we will decorate it with a mixture of Moong dal, grated coconut and sugar and cook it. ( Mong dal must be fried slightly and washed). It will come out like Idlys and will taste very good...
    You can also try this in Vattayappam....

    Here we get frzn. shredded coconut, so kindly share the cup quantity of fresh coconut that we have to grind.
    As well the quantity of jaggery in cup measurement, please.

      Bring frozn coconut to room temperature. then take 1 Cup coconut and 3/4 cup Jaggery .But Fresh coconut will be more tasty..🙄

      without yeast, may not be this much soft.. try with 2 days old coconut water or kappi.

    I follow your recipes Mam. One doubt, I use 240ml cup for recipes. Do you use the same? For this recipe, can I use the same cup for rice measurement and other ingredients.

    Super. Instant yeast enge kidaikum. Departmental store la dry yeast than kedaikuthu. Athai warm water mix panni mele nurai vanthathum use pannalama sis? Arisi mavu thengai pal, thengai ennai serthu oru halwa variety sapitu irukken. Super ah irukum. Antha receipe upload pannunga. Athu name enaku theriyala.
