I would love to see that video, especially if the album is analyzed as a whole. To me, all the songs are much better when viewed as part of a full story.
I appreciate that you were able to put out a rap that you wrote. I feel like for a lot of people (including me) it’s hard to put things you created into the world. For me is because I’m afraid of what people might think, and maybe they won’t like it. I think it’s awesome that you made something, and were brave enough to put it out there. There will always be someone who won’t like it, but it’s cool that you took that risk anyway. The tips in the video were helpful, and I wanted to say thanks for all the work you put in to making videos.
You had me at the the “sick as frick” in the thumbnail, and I’m inspired to write my own TØP rap now. Tyler’s raps are so complex and contain meaning while stretching genius lyricism and flow!
I think you are a dork and so is Tyler and Chester, that does not make you uncool though, it takes a great mind to be able to put those feelings down and then still be able to perform them. That blows my mind! It's all about creating your art and for any person to do this I have respect for . So great job :)
I cannot wait for great mistakes to take my brain to a better place, I never think you’re out of reach, till the suns sets, it wrecks my perception and I cannot sleep. No more dreams, no more pleas, no listeners to hear me on my knees that’s one that I wrote in like 6 minutes
When I first saw this vid and wanted to watch it you took it down..now I understand why lol Seriously though, it's not half as bad as you might think, and it's educational! So you only humiliate yourself in the name of education, pretty noble if you ask me :D
the fact that you really dedicate your time to your videos and post them regardless of all the mean things ppl could say about it, not to mention that you’re really creative, is awesome and you truly inspire me
You look like a dork while rapping… just kidding. It was an interesting video and the lyrics were pretty good. I liked the first version a lot better, though.
I actually really liked your second rap; as far as rhythm goes I was really much more into it. It was a lot more fun to hear the words go from slow to fast. :) Great video; I'm proud of you for taking on such a monumental topic. If I had to do a video like this I'd be T E R R I F I E D
I loved hearing you talk about your fear of creativity, because I've kind of had the same fear but I'm always drawn back to music and wanting to create. This is very inspiring, and I'm gonna keep working at this and stop overthinking it! Oh, and I'm DEFINITELY checking out your TOP lyric course, that sounds sick! Your channel is amazing and doesn't get near enough attention as it should 😊
It was so interesting! Do not take it as an offence, but you made me realise how a great artist is actually REALLY good in what he does, the difference between you and Tyler both in rapping and writing is, let me say it, incredibly large, MORE than what I expected! I think the big difference is in the pauses between the words. When you take a pause longer than a quarter note it feels like you break the flow of the rapping; in fact in migraine's rap there's no quarter pauses. That's so cool! Thank you for the video.
I am pulling the marshmallows out of the cabinet right now for the roasting. You got more balls then any haters out there. The "Flow" could use some work but the core of it wasn't horrible. Keep rolling.. you'll get there.
This is hilarious! I'm gonna be honest: you do look a bit dorky. But in a good way, if that makes any sense. As a dork myself, I like seeing fellow dorks, who, unlike myself, are brave enough to publicly embrace their dorkdom. For me, one issue with the rap is that I know the rhythm of "Migraine" so well that it's confusing my brain to hear new words to it. If you were rapping to an original backing track, it would be easier to appreciate the lyrics for their own merit.
Dorky in a good way? Huh? I guess I'll take it... lol jk I know what you mean. I would love to make my own tracks--and I can't remember which one, but I definitely stole the flow of Migraine... :P
When I first heard “my dead. I hate” I heard my dad I hate and was insanely confused. I was wondering why you hated your dad and then I read the sub titles.🤣

If you ever need an original intrumental, I sometimes do that. For your first attempt it wasn't too bad, a few things I noticed are that Tyler definitely comes up with ideas first and then tries to make it sound good also: he has the same problem as me, which is writing to many lyrics for to little music. So Tyler puts the maximum possible number of syllables in a phrase where as you had a lot less, especially in the second version. Also: The breaks were kinda awkward and your phrasing was off but that gets better with practice But Yeah, Tyler has a weird flow that is super hard to immitate. Now to the lyrics themselves: Tyler's lyrics seem very much like he just wants to show you what's going on in his mind, especially in Migraine. And so he uses easy language, he uses many metaphors and similes, and it's very structured. Your rap was kinda hard to follow, I get the general message but it's kinda all over the place. That's the benefit of just writing and then making it sound right.
Oh, you should definitely send me some tracks if you have time. I have zero musical ability, so I've been looking for some tracks. :) Your advice is very fair and quite accurate. It didn't help that I'd been analyzing a lot of Eminem recently, so he snuck in there a lot.
If anything I'd make some custom tracks for you. Your tempo, your style (Rock gone rap, straight up rap, reggae gone rap etc.), your feeling (happy, upbeat or angry or kinda dark or whatever), your instrumentation I think that's how you find your own style, by listening to different artist and to be influenced by different artists. I always think it's kinda weird if young bands say they wanna sound exactly like another band. I mean, where's the fun in that? But I get what you did for this video and it's cool but if you get away from copying twenty one pilots you'll most likely have a much easier time writing rap parts.
Well, if you have time, I'd love to hear 'em. :) I completely agree--be yourself even if you are influenced by others. I do plan to begin writing my own raps. We'll see how it goes...
If I'm being 100% honest, the rapping didn't sound amazing, but the lyrics where actually really good, especially considering it only took you 5 minutes. But in my opinion lyrics are the most important part of a song, so I'd say you where successful!
Hey. (I take forever to get to my point. So if you don't want to read all of this just skip to the end). I'm not sure if you said "I haven't explained all of twenty one pilots songs several times" or "I have explained all of twenty one pilots songs several times." I assume the latter. My question is have you actually went over all of them. (Probably 😅😂). Although I doubt you've done any of Tyler's solo music. So what I'm saying is please PLEASE do a song/songs from No Phun Intended. Also great rap by the way.👍
I skipped to the end, and it was a compliment, so I don't need to read the rest, right? lol Nah, I've explained all of them whether in a private class, a summary video, or in individual videos, though, non, I haven't done an individual vid for each one yet. But maybe a No Phun Intended vid is due.
The writing itself is solid but the flow isn't that much though u might be just imitating 21 pilot's flow (Im not familiar with every song of the band )if that's the case then it's cool ,another cool thing is using "doppelreim" an app that generate rhymes which I use all the time to write hehe ,if you've been reading my comments lately u know I'm an eminem stan sooooooo
Popsongprof.....i am strugling to find the meaning to "who we are" By imagine dragons ...there are no interviews on youtube and i'm only 13.....it is hard to guess what he is saying😢....PLS HELP...thank you

Don't worry, you don't look at all like a dork while rapping. =D
Sick as Frick !!!
Highest praise
This is excellent information. I never would’ve thought of writing rhymes and alliterations BEFORE I have a poem or story written down.
Explain the entire P!ATD first album
Good suggestion!
I would love to see that video, especially if the album is analyzed as a whole. To me, all the songs are much better when viewed as part of a full story.
Although it’d probably take him fifteen seconds to read most of the titles
"Tyler uses a lot of I sounds in his good songs."

I appreciate that you were able to put out a rap that you wrote. I feel like for a lot of people (including me) it’s hard to put things you created into the world. Yes please do, my daughter sings this song i thought it was a math song that she learned at school haha
Oof
You had me at the the “sick as frick” in the thumbnail, and I’m inspired to write my own TØP rap now. Tyler’s raps are so complex and contain meaning while stretching genius lyricism and flow!
You should go for it, Zach!
YOU ARE NOT A DORK YOU ARE VERY COOL
Awww, thanks!
I think you are a dork and so is Tyler and Chester, that does not make you uncool though, it takes a great mind to be able to put those feelings down and then still be able to perform them. It's not a great compliment, but I'll take it. :)
And I agree about the flow.
For some reason I read this comment is robin Williams voice. Like night at the museum style
XD IM DED I READ THE “MY BOY” THE SAME WAY LOL. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME
My flow's not great, ok, I conversate with people who know if I flow on a song I'll get no radio play
Hahaha loved it!! (And it really feels a little bit like tyler) and, could you explain some no phun intended musics?
Thanks! And maybe!

the last speech you gave at the end of the video is the best thing ever and has inspired me to start creating so thank you so much
I'm so glad! Go forth and create!!!
When I first saw this vid and wanted to watch it you took it down..now I understand why lol
Seriously though, it's not half as bad as you might think, and it's educational! So you only humiliate yourself in the name of education, pretty noble if you ask me :D
Haha! That's a good point--humiliation for the sake of education.
Hey! I am early!
Also, please explain the meaning of an All Time Low or Pierce The Veil song!!
ATL would be good to do at some point.
this is the closest we're gonna get to new tøp music

Hey, an band you could consider analyzing is WALK THE MOON, especially with their new album out! I think "Tiger Teeth" would be a good one to do!
when he first raps he sounds like the "somebody toucha my spaghett" guy. this is really cool though.
Thank you for being vulnerable with us.
the fact that you really dedicate your time to your videos and post them regardless of all the mean things ppl could say about it, not to mention that you’re really creative, is awesome and you truly inspire me
Awww, thanks! Nice comments like yours make it all worth it. :)
Can you analyze some PTV songs please? Preferably Today I Saw The Whole World?
(Btw I recommend the song too, ITS SICK AS FRICK BOI)
well you have surpassed your fear of creativity since you did this video . Its so cool you should do it again !
Thanks! Maybe I will. You should try it!
You look like a dork while rapping… just kidding. It was an interesting video and the lyrics were pretty good. I liked the first version a lot better, though.
AGGHGHGHGHG! I'm in tears... ;) Yeah, the first one did seem better, didn't it...

This is amazing, this should be published
I am a fan of yours and I personally don’t like the sound of your voice when rapping but I think your lyrics are very lovely
No one can write lyrics like Tyler Joseph but you still did a good job. 👍🏻 Nice rap!
You could make this a series professor ;) Like a series where u take on different artists' writing style. I recommend u do one on the weeknd :)
If I had any musical talent at all, I would! So I don't know about singers, but maybe rap artists. More Weeknd videos of other types coming though.
It was so interesting!
Do not take it as an offence, but you made me realise how a great artist is actually REALLY good in what he does, the difference between you and Tyler both in rapping and writing is, let me say it, incredibly large, MORE than what I expected! Thanks Bro I appreciate this!!
I am pulling the marshmallows out of the cabinet right now for the roasting. You got more balls then any haters out there. The "Flow" could use some work but the core of it wasn't horrible. Keep rolling.. you'll get there.
Haha! Thank you! I should have thought of some marshmallows somewhere. This joke is going to show up in a video sometime.
This was actually really good HAHAHA ure amazing
Thanks for that ending speech 4:00
You're quite welcome. :)
tupac ithink that would befun
I totally love this ! writing your rap! You look awsome!
Thanks!
Could you explain something by PVRIS, please? :)
Do "it's time to say goodbye", it's unreleased too, but it has amazing lyrics.
We need some Fall out boy! Maniac!
I love this!!!!!!! I also like the first rap better, it sounded more twenty-one pilots. You should analyze/explain some lyrics by Noah Kahan!
can you please try and explain the meaning behind where did we go, from no phun intended?
also you're amazing xx
This is hilarious! I'm gonna be honest: you do look a bit dorky. But in a good way, if that makes any sense. As a dork myself, I like seeing fellow dorks, who, unlike myself, are brave enough to publicly embrace their dorkdom.

Not bad, better than anything I'd come up with. I also like the first take better.
When I first heard “my dead. I hate” I heard my dad I hate and was insanely confused. I was wondering why you hated your dad and then I read the sub titles.🤣
That was beautiful😃
I tried and failed but here goes
Hating
Degrading
Fading
Relating
Creating
Affiliating
Frustrating
Painting
Training
Flaming
I
Try
Fly
Die
Hide
Abide
Decide
Retry
Deny
Crimes
Nine
Times
Align
Defy
I wish I could stop thinking
About my insecurities and how many people are hating
Me I’m painting a fading painting
In my head, can’t think of colors and it’s frustrating
I’m done affiliating with life
So it think I won’t try
And decide I want to die
The times are all wrong
To many rules to abide by
So I paint a perfect person and hide behind the lie
They tell me to stay alive but I think I might just defy
I pull out a knife and now she sings rewind
And I deny my intentions
They coached me worse than Freddie Kitchens did
Now I’m beginning to be sensing
The end even though it’s only the beginning
Lights, camera, action, satisfaction
At your finger tips no one's lacking stuff
But it's not enough when it seems that
We have enough stuff just to blow stuff up
Lights, camera, stop! We're killing ourselves
Just to get to the top
But we won't stop talking about what we got
And how we all love it when we're loved a lot
Enough about you, let's talk about me
And how everybody thinks I'm just so free
Free? Did you hear the verse that came first
And how my own body's waging war on me?
I bet you didn't know something as absurd
There's a word that is said more than any other word
It's sorry, sorry
And I pray that the word was heard
the thumbnail is hilarious!
Could you explain Ride by Lana Del Rey?
I'm due for a LDR.
And the 22 pilots were born 😂 great video man, you look kind of like a Obi-Wan rap teacher jajajaja
Haha! Thanks!
I really liked the first one and thought it actually sounded like a TØP song

this thumbnail has a Clancy aesthetic

Thanks!
I knew I recognized Migraine
If you ever need an original intrumental, I sometimes do that.
For your first attempt it wasn't too bad, a few things I noticed are that Tyler definitely comes up with ideas first and then tries to make it sound good also: he has the same problem as me, which is writing to many lyrics for to little music. So Tyler puts the maximum possible number of syllables in a phrase where as you had a lot less, especially in the second version.
Also: The breaks were kinda awkward and your phrasing was off but that gets better with practice
But Yeah, Tyler has a weird flow that is super hard to immitate.

I completely agree--be yourself even if you are influenced by others. I do plan to begin writing my own raps. We'll see how it goes...
I put something together, it's on my channel. It's not the best but I didn't have much to go on soundwhise.
I'll go comment on it over there.
When my dad gets a new car hahaha
It's taking every bit of willpower I have to not roast you right not.
he sounds like some dad trying to rap to nwa songs
i agree with these lyrics like as a song writer *OOF* those were really good
Could you discuss the song tonight from Tyler josep
this be on new album :D
Can you explain how the heck infinity is bigger than Graham's Number?!?!
You sound like the guy from “Rapping for Jesus” lol
great, this whole video would have been much better with a ukulele loop playing behind it
Dude, you have no idea how much I wish I had the savvy to figure that out...
Wow, you nailed tyler's style. Still, i didn't like your rapping but you did a good job for a first try. It's impressive since you had only 5 minutes
Thanks!
That was actually not bad!
Thanks!

You should explain how Panic! at the Disco writes their songs
Analyse The Trooper by Iron Maiden
Yeah imma ask for some metal until you explain some metal
Liked the first one better and what do you mean Tyler's good songs
I don't remember saying that, but his good songs are like 97% of them. :)

Super tricky easy method
Ok tricky and easy, that makes sense
