they did great but when they reported out and dropped the rifle it was over, but they still got first place, i had a competition recently where 2 teams dropped the rifles and they got 1st and 2nd place but my team did everything perfectly and we didnt even place. I am a cadet from uniondale high school knights battlion.
its points off for ropping and points off for not saluting. they do it at all major and serious drill meets. like state and nationals and some small ones too
If yall are ever in the Warner Robins, Georgia area, my team needs some training from yall's commander. My team has 5 returning cadets and 6 new cadets. The new cadets can't even perform a proper 2 handed continuous spin.
in exhibition you don't have time to simply salute the rifle before picking it up. if you make a mistake you need to hurry your ass up and get back in the routine as fast as possible. they count points off for the mistake but they don't for dropping the rifle.
@maggiefacee I don't remember the exact packet, T.T But it's in there, I'm pretty sure our team went through a whole kablooey trying to distinguish the topic at hand. I know what edition our school uses (;
@maggiefacee That was back then. Nowadays, saluting is a symbol of respect to someone of a higher rank or status than you are. It's in the LET packets. XD
give been to state nationals and I've seen countless videos from the Daytona Nationals and I've seen many mistakes and I've never seen one person salute their rifle if they dropped it. now either every single one of them forgot this rule or what, but it seems to me this rule you speak of does not exist
@JihadForJesus12 The majority of the students that attend Francis Lewis HS are Asians, which can conclude that the majority of the students in the JROTC program are going to be Asian. That is not to say that there are no non-Asians in the program/team, but it's just the way it ended up. In the past, there were many more non-Asian cadets on PG.
This makes me wanna crawl in a hole--My JROTC could never pull this off. Brilliant work!
Its a little humiliating when our team went against them and i realized they had 2 pound wrist waits restraints on each wrist...
Good job, last throw was the only real miss, but recovery from mistakes was excellent. Keep up the work FL! Hooah!!!
Great competition though... Faced them at Eastern Regionals in Macon, GA on March 19... Awesome

The sound has a nice snap to it
Overall they did great but once u drop it it's over
@cannisterkid yea...this is Brigades 2009 since the Mil Acadmey(Andrew hill?) is judging.
its points off for ropping and points off for not saluting. they do it at all major and serious drill meets. like state and nationals and some small ones too
Sorry to burst ur bubble man, but this is either Leagues/Brigades '09 not '10... First place here was XSquad xD

this is brigade 09 cause i was there last week and they didnt drop the gun at the last part
@Ccarcamo713 Yeah, I forgot. Were 6th Brigade.
@Seiijin and that rule dosent qualify for all drill meets. Each drill meet has its own SOP and safety regulations.
@spiceytaco95 hes from west point.. its a cadet from the miltary academy at west point
i have a quick question what branch is that inspector in thats wearing the greyish with black stripes uniform ive never seen that before
Want to be in this JROTC program at francis Lewis hs but getting to the Bronx to utopia must be confusing
I just graduated and this is bringing back so many memories :'D
@Seiijin Its exhibition drill, their is no regulation in exhibition.
@Mistawong94 I am pretty sure it was at brigades '09, cause I was there.
At my JROTC we call these types of routines "happy slammers" and for unarmed when they slap too much we call "happy slappy's"
Francis Lewis is just different
I saw them at all army

Man there's a lot going on in this drill. No time for recovery if fatigued. 1999 black watch would be a perfect example of down time in the drill.

that last move looks like its from the Black Watch drill team tho.
@Mistawong94 I thought they were from the west point academy.
@Mistawong94 First place here was the Patriot Guard. I was there.
@Jake Mcraine they are daisy, indestructible
They are from Norwich
@dudeuseeme Yea they did....lol but this is 'o9 in which the xsquad got 1st
Nice the pops are amazing great team
One unit, one sound. Simple outstanding. I did armed exhibition in 2003-2005 in vilseck Germany. U guys would have given us a run for the money lol
@maggiefacee That was back then. Nowadays, saluting is a symbol of respect to someone of a higher rank or status than you are. It's in the LET packets. XD
They are from west point
every AJROTC has a successful drill team.
don't for not saluting the rifle* my fault.
give been to state nationals and I've seen countless videos from the Daytona Nationals and I've seen many mistakes and I've never seen one person salute their rifle if they dropped it. now either every single one of them forgot this rule or what, but it seems to me this rule you speak of does not exist
I remember Thus JROTC was the hardest team to beat in 2007
Oh, and that rear rank at 7:50 is an illegal when being tossed over a cadets head.
@JihadForJesus12

are those bainets on the top of the rifle
no, it is illegal for them to put a knife on the rifles cause someone might get cut (I'm in jrotc, that's how I know)
I'm am as well thts y I wanted to know
9*
@Mistawong94 Oh shi --
-Facepalms- Crap, didn't notice that. The routine looks pretty much the same, and it's the right commander, though o_o
there slamming those rifles pretty hard on the ground i know my cheif would kill me if i did that with my rifle
Jake McCranie yeah... We recently renovated our gym floor because we destroyed it by slamming the rifles too hard...
Jennifer Jung it just doesnt sound the same with the rubber pads man 😭
the last toss was bad and he didnt salute b4 he picked it up and continued thats points off that alone would be put them at no higher than second
i liked it, but xanto, their not silent drill team so take that off the description
@maggiefacee Haha, 1SG was not happy about that either.
unstoppable
Arghhh just that last throw man
that looked like a really difficult throw at the end... i don't blame that cadet for messing up the catch.
@Mistawong94 Flhs got 1st place in 10 league
My jaw broke when it hit the floor
holy shit.....
The judge looks like he's from Norwich university
Omg that was so amazing
now if these were Marines....
GOTTA LOVE THT SNAP!!
I think they are from west point.
till this day MSG Badia stands in the same place...and till this day we still can't beat francis lewis😂
Niiiice
i'm a commander for the female armed drill team and i can spin like that. that lunley though!!!!! only armed drill team will know that. cx
+stephanie ojeda i really doubt that lol
wtf Is a lunley I have no clue what that is and I've been on armed for 3 years
i just joined the drill team and i need to get promoted to twerls
Hey that was freakin amazing, keep practicing that last spin and youll get it down
Brilliant work except for that catch at the end. If only he had caught it.
YOU CAN NOT SALUTE PROPERLY WITH A SWORD YOU EGG
Daniel MacKinnon this was on 2010, we don't do that anymore.
This is pretty damn good, but you guys dont follow regulation.
easy when u got plastic riffles ..not real riffles just saying
M16A3 = 8.6lb, that riffle = 8.5 lb. not different dude
nice until that guy dropped it.
still amazing though!
lol
thought it was great till her dropped the rifle lol
lol, nice 5 pound rifles you guys got there
Gage Fontenot 8.5
