  • A 5 man armed exhibition drill routine, commanded by C/ENS Dycaico, featuring C/ENS Wilson, C/CPO Bergersen aka Mogli, C/PO1 Noel, and C/PO2 Warrick. WESTVIEW NJROTC has come a long way in the form of military drill in the period of the past year, we performed at Westview high schools battle of the sexes pep rally. Our main goal was to show our school how much progress we have made, and judging by the crowd, i would assume they liked it :D and of course to represent the BOYS in the rally

    Honestly as a exibiton leader I thought it was a very good show and the spinning was spot on very good job guy! As a team you could use some work but overall very good!

      I am part of an exhibition team, and seeing that one guy drop the weapon he probably felt like he let his teammates down. That's all I would be thinking if I dropped the gun during a competition or performance. Cause they take alot of points of for that

    • @jordansbear

      NJROTC is not authorized to wear BDUs. Especially during an exhibition. Arm bands are not in regulations neither are the weird tank tops they are wearing.

    • @hammer8771
      @hammer8771 4 роки тому

      @@jordansbear To be fair, NJROTC has no official utility uniform, and they are phasing out the working khakis, so issuing BDUs isn't too bad of an offense.

    When I was on the JROTC Boys Drill Team back in the late 80's our riffles weigh a mere 9 ibs...are those lighter, looks it! Nice drill!

    Im so jelly of you guys, not of the routine (even though it was great) but of the fact that you guys can move around that much and just have fun with it in my unit in Anaheim we must stand still and still wow the audience. Our four man, which im a part of, gets it done but if we moved this much the crowd would go absolutely bonkers. Also if we drop a rifle we are shunned and made fun of but it seems like you guys actually get a bunch of support. Good routine guys loved the solos

    You must be new to the military drill world. As was already stated, these M1903 replica Daisy Drill Rifles weigh just over 8lbs. The standard for M1s and 1903s is 8.5lbs, the standard for the M14 is 10.2lbs and the standard for color guard (marching band) rifles is around 2lbs. Sometimes a "real" rifle is demilitarized so badly it then weighs more and is probably unbalanced as well. My post on the various drill rifles explains this and more, you may find it interesting.

    its high school man, i dont see the big deal about the little stuff. you can obviously see we put a lot of practice in even if there are a few messy parts. plus it was just for fun so whatevs.

    It's silly not to pick up your own rifle. This is XD (exhibition drill). XD is all about the performance and not some thought-up rule. There isn't a single manual anywhere (unless it's local) that states the team needs to freeze, the performance needs to stop and everyone needs to stare at your commander while he/she picks up the dropped rifle and return it to its owner.

      Cody Kennedy I know, I'm on a drill team myself, but I think it's a safe assumption considering the vibe given off from these guys. With their skills I would also assume they must've got a bit cocky and could've used a bit more practice
