I'm 16 and have recently bought one of these! Great car just can't wait to build mine up. Don't get me started with that sound👌 not many cars I hear give me goosebumps but this is one of those cars😍 Mad respect for the guys who built this, as not many people keep the 1GFE.

Exactly what this car needed from factory - maybe minus the screamer pipe for mass production. Friend had an IS200 and it was a very nice car for the year and inside was luxury and comfy but that 2 litre 6-pot was way too slow...more of a cruiser. This puts things right

Toyota designed a supercharger for it but I think it was 6-8 psi only.

Shouldn't be too much, maybe £120/ £140 a month with or without a named driver. Got an IS250 when I was 18 (Just turned 19) and the insurance is only £159 a month compared to my friends ASTRA at £140 a month. Lol.

People mock the is200 but when you turbo one it’s fucking unreal. RB sounds all day if not BETTER! I know!!
This Car should of came with a turbo from factory.Low Torque was an issue and you had to wring it's neck to get some performance.

i actually bought the whole set of the 3 spoke wheels from Ash last year for my MR2, the rears looked great as deeper dish.
had an N/A is200 a while back and swapped it out for an MR2, fantastic cars! would love to get another and turbo it if I had the money. the gearbox was fantastic

great stuff ! I've already found a companie that will do a drive in drive out turbo conversion at up to 290hp , will definitely be going down that route !

Try change gear when your foot is off the gas itll work alot better for you and you wont sound like a rooky
Give him a break, driving a car you're not familiar with that has a button clutch isn't an every day task.
It's a thing about these cars. They have E-throttle (etcs-i) where the lift off response isnt 100%. So while his foot work might be on point, the throttle just doesn't close fast enough.
Theres a delay in the electronic throttle I noticed that on mine it's not even a slight delay

To have a standard UK number plate on a lexus that says "LFA" is a nice touch as well :D

Alot of noise for 240hp has to be my only complaint but on the other hand you get all that NOISE that you can make all the time with 240hp
+S Miller your going to get alot of noise with a screamer regardless of power, its running more now tho
Gear shifts are frustratingly annoying along with the flashing dash light. Car sounds good seems to go OK aswell
my question is what was done to the ECU, pretty much if we could have the owner do a more detailed video of the car and how the turbo mod was done that would be great. reason being very fee people actually turbo the 1GFE engine in these most if not all swap it for either a 2JZ, 1JZ or even a 1UZ.

Yea a Piggyback is Common.. but which piggyback do you use for the 1G-FE ?
no, low boost up to 6 psi, u only need a fuel cut defender, ( HKS or Patricks black box fcd) for the ecu.
+Android Device Good info. I guess it's the same as running the Eaton M62 really. I wanna make a low boost 0.3-0.4 bar Garrett T25 setup for my lexus. Biggest problem is the manifold.

That sounds wicked, great car I can tell. Could have tidied up the front end and wheels but that's just being fussy. Those 'silly noises' are just like genuine smiles and laughing, priceless, something you can't explain with words =P

Expected more HP from this to be honest. The one we put a 1JZ single turbo @ 16psi in is getting 340bhp after tuning. Edit: Just realised it's stock engine.
+Joe Anything yeah stock engine, also was only running 4PSI in this video to make sure the car is happy at the power before it went any further, more to come tho !!

+Dean Powell yes, but that could be anything, the fact that it still sends fuel on top of the rpm range is what i am looking for! because theese guys are fitted with map sensors and when boost gets too high the injectors gets cut off(also known as fuel cut)!

interesting with a 2jz in the car people manage to fit a decent sized intercooler behind the bumper. y did they have to make it look like shit.
It's a 1G-FE.
That's my point the 2jz is physically a bigger engine.
+Anthony Jones don't cry.. it was done like that just to get it on the road, it's now looking a little bit different.
Crash bar was probably too big for the intercooler so they most likely had to cut it, you get smaller ones that fit in the bumpers though.

+ppettioooo as far as i no its all stock but he has bigger injectors and fuel pump going in as he sorts an ECU to go with it all. i will do an update video when its running more power and with bodywork modifications he's doing

Well i dunno, if I were to turbo my IS200 I would go with a Garrett T25. Easy to access and good for low boost. Comes factory in Nissan s13 and Saab 9-3 turbo. And 500 pounds was pretty generous too.
