Great idea buddy!!! I’m just getting started so trying to learn. What size cable? That will hold a yote? I don’t need to use rebar then with that set up correct? What is that stake called to set that in the ground with?? Trapper J sent me ur way. Thanks appreciate it.
I sure appreciate you and Trapper J....depends on the soil you anchor in...I've had to add extensions as the ground was soft...just drive and dont forget to pull to set the anchor as I have forgotten in the past..I use 1/8 cable some say smaller is OK but I trust 1/8 inch.....I wish you luck and tight chains. ..
Yes sir, i liked the musica, im in michigan nice to meat u,.im a newbie trapper, contract predator control , blaster 🔫🔫and cat , 🐆dog, 🐞🐶coon, 🐀🐁🐕🦂killer-- just took delivery of my first 6 ztraps, next I’m getting some American 4 Springers with square jaws and dipped in licorice juice, lol. Areas that need it most, we are getting thermal gear to hopefully get called. To. Control. Some hog problems in Texas,..,,,,,enough of me,... like your content,,peace,,
I sure appreciate you....yeah. here in Ky ots often tuff to trap the ridgelines and cliffs of my area...but so worth being out there....I sure appreciate you and come to see ya..
When you buy these anchors, do you need to buy the dedicated driver, or will a regular piece of rebar do the trick?
I'd buy the driver, Rebar is too soft unless you have plenty of it on hand that can be used for something else when ya done..
I've been undoing my j-hook in the winter then digging them back up in the spring!
Good idea...

Wooohooo!
The treads of the nut work like teeth biting on the strands of the cable. It flat can't slip.
David Kralik I've always used a steel nut in place of a stop...you're right
That intro song is painful. Whew!
What is the name of that song in the beginning
Appalachia is my name, I believe...Alan "Cathead" Johnston sing it here.
