ASEC 2023 - Disruptive Systems Engineering

Engineering projects rarely follow a straight path; adaptation is essential. Challenges arise: the preference for predictable progress, differing definitions of success, change seen as a failure, and a process-focused progress measurement. As systems engineers, we hold a unique position to identify and steer projects towards success. Our role includes fostering a culture that encourages the same. This paper examines the impact of Disruptive Systems Engineering, interventions' benefits, and methods for course correction.
