This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies, Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old (about 100 yrs.) & is done in the bluegrass country style. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Ring Of Fire", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "Helplessly Hoping", "Seven Bridges Road", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley", "Skull & Bones" etc.
I wrote all of these down haha. I think some have been requested, nonetheless; I will still tag you when the time comes and I get to these reactions. I'm looking forward to going down the #HomeFree rabbit hole 🙂
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free! They are the best! They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. They will make you dance, cry and fall out of your seat laughing. I don't even think of them as an acapella group anymore but just my favorite band. Thanks for the Home Free reaction!
I'll definitely be doing more Home Free. I have some groups on here that have an amazing following and are so engaging. I will have a flow of the different artists established here soon with new ones sprinkled in as they come around. Thank you so much for subbing!!! I will try my hardest to keep ya'll entertained and the reactions you want coming!
Absolutely! This song was a real treat and Home Free's fans are really showing up. So supportive and informative. I love the engagement. This is going to be super fun in the future thank you for checking this one out!
Great reaction! Please more #HomeFree you will not be disappointed as they have such a great catalogue of many genres from silly to serious and everything in between!
That's the best part of some of these groups. They are so versatile and talented. They are not afraid to do silly stuff either. Makes them so much more fun! Thank you so much for checking out the channel and engaging!
Keep it up my dude but one suggestion is to rewind a little after each pause, that way you don't miss little things? I watch a lot of reaction channels and this separates the good from the great!🥰👍
Yeah I'm beginning to see that rewinding a little after a pause is a good thing to do. Just in case I don't miss anything. Thanks so much for the tip and I appreciate you checking this video out! This was a super fun one 😃
Oooh, a new reactor! This is a fairly common first-reaction-song of theirs, actually, and it is a good starting point. They are a very talented, versatile and skilled group, who does a lot of country music, but don't restrict themselves. And unless the instruments shows up in the video, all the sound are produced by their voices. If you want a who's-who, here's the list (I'll describe them as they are in the first group shot in this video): Adam Rupp: second row on the left, the guy with the suspensers and hat. Beatboxer and provider of all kind of soundeffects (though not all of them). On the rare occasion when he sings he's a tenor. Co-Founder of the group. Austin Brown: guy in the middle in the front row, with the red hair and cowboy hat. High tenor, but he has a beautiful lower register, too. Lots of twang in his voice. Joined the group in 2013 I believe and left the Group in June 2024. Rob Lundquist: guy on the right in the front row, with beard and glasses. Second tenor and occasional baritone. Has a bit of Opera training. Joined in 2008 or 2009 and is still part of the group. Adam Chance (goes by Chance): guy on the right in the second row with the vest. Baritone and secondary bass. Has vocal range of about 4 octaves. Joined the group in 2016 and is still part of the group. Tim Foust: guy on the left in the front row with shoulder-long brown hair (in newer videos it's shorter and silver/gray in various stages). Bass, and occasional baritone and tenor. He has a vocal range of about 5 octaves. Fully joined in 2012, but he helped them out on stage before that occasionally. Still part of the group. Not in this video: Chris Rupp: ususally wears a cowboy hat or cap. Baritone. He was a co-founder and left the group in 2016. Adam Bell-Bastien (calles Bastien, pronounced Basteen): Has either a mustache or is clean shaven. High tenor. Joined the group at the end of June 2014, though he had been part of the group in the past (not sure when exactly, but somewhen before 2014). They have other previous members, but that was before they got more widely known. I hope you'll continue down the rabbit hole that is Home Free. They don't have a bad song, so you have about 200 videos to choose from. But the harmonica sound makes appearances in Workin' For A Livin', Folsom Prison Blues (very briefly) and Ain't Going Down ('Til The Sun Comes Up). The last one is only on Facebook, though. And the beatboxer goes wild in "Listen To The Music". But there are also videos out with him showcasing his ability (search for Adam Rupp drum solo). I hope you don't mind the word-vomit. Thanks for the reaction.
Home Free is all a cappella so no instruments. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, was doing drums, harmonica and other sounds all with his mouth. When live Austin (redhead) joins him in doing a harmonica. They can all beatbox to a degree. Tim Foust (was in Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens). Tim was a tenor in high school but came back one summer before his senior year and his voice dropped and he’s been a bass ever since. He has a 5 octave range so he can sing high as well. And he writes songs too as do 2 others in the band. This song is over 100 years old but was made popular in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou. This is just one of many versions of it. Good one!!! Keep checking them out. They are country but sing all genres of music. You might like Skull and Bones that Chance wrote for the Ubisoft game….it’s tremendous!
I definitely wrote that suggestion down! Thank you so much for engaging and all of the in-depth info on them 😊 I will be sure to do more Home Free in the very very near future!
A new subscriber. Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. Typically Rob sings tenor, Austin sings high tenor, Chance sings baritone, Tim sings bass and Adam Rupp is the beat boxer. But they have been known to mix it up. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.
I really appreciate your subscription. This was a super fun one to react to. They're so talented and I love raw talent. The music you hear in the "mainstream" nowadays is all the same and not very genuine. I will definitely have more Home Free in the very near future! 😊
Wlelome to the Home Free party. They have a very deep and varied catalog. Everything from country to rock to pop to R & B to sacred - even a little opera from the 2 tenors. I can recommend their cover of the Doobie Brothers iconic Listen to the Music - yes, in a cappella. Showcase for Adam Rupp, the beatboxer. Since it's Christmas time, I also recommend Do You Hear What I Hear, which is my absolute favorite performance by them, arranged by Adam Rupp. But really, you can't go wrong with anything on their playlist. Enjoy the ride. Happy holidays!
Thank you so much for engaging and the suggestions! I have them written down and should have them slated again here very soon! I am trying to do a sequence of videos from some of the more suggested groups for variation, but also because so many of yall are passionate about these groups. (As you should be cause they are amazing!!!) So I will have a flow for sure between these artists. I hope you stick around for more!
I could never beatbox so beatboxers amaze me to the umpteenth degree. So amazing. I have no idea how someone can make all those different sounds with their mouth. I wrote down your suggestion and I hope to have it slated here very soon 😃
I have these written down and I am looking foward to diving deeper into this group and checking out more of their amazing talents. Thank you so much for checking this video out and for your suggestions! 😃
@ some more to get into after those, well with Christmas here, you prob should jump on “Do you here what I hear” it’s amazing. But after all those, Mayday, The Butts remix, Elvira, Delta Dawn, Helplessly Hoping, Cruise (the most recent version), God bless the USA ft Lee Greenwood and the Airforce band, Seven Bridges Road, Brothers in Arms. There’s also some originals. One being I’ve Seen (the recent version) and so long Dixie. There’s still many more but these are all great. Some are older and still has Adam’s brother Chris Rupp while the more recent ones, since like 2017 I believe, have Adam Chance. And I don’t think I mentioned their original that Adam Chance wrote, Skull and Bones. Ubisoft asked them to come up with a song for their video game. Another original that Tim wrote, Champagne taste on a beer budget. Another funny one is country fried pop medley. All of these are a must. Look forward to seeing you go through these!

I wrote all of these suggestions down in my handy dandy notebook! Thank you so much and I really enjoyed this group! I am loving these acapella groups. So much raw talent and WAYYYYY better than anything that's in the "mainstream" backed by big labels.
The song was originally published in 1913 and covered by Bob Dylan & Joan Baez. They don't have a lead singer - whoever sounds best singing it, does. I think you'd really enjoy "My Church Live" at the 2017 London Acapella Festival but as it's near Christmas, check out their collaborations on "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" and "Christmas in Dixie".
I just wrote all of these down and I'm going to be releasing the Christmas video reaction on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for anyone willing to check em out 😊 thank you so much for watching!!!
I was like woah!! This dude either is hiding that harmonica really well or he's doing that just straight up with his mouth and hand. That was sooo cool! Such an amazingly talented group! Thank you so much for checking out this video and my channel 🙂
As much as I like Home Free, I also suggest VoicePlay, if you haven't already checked them out. Home Free just came out with two really fun Christmas videos. Btw, natural low voices (basses and contraltos) are just not as common as high voices (tenors and sopranos). A really good bass like Home Free's Tim Foust or VoicePlay's Geoff Castellucci is always a big plus for a group. Castellucci also has a load of solo videos on his own channel, very creative and theatrical.
This is so incredible. Every sound you hear comes from their voices. No instruments. The guy in he green shirt and brown vest (Austin Brown) left the group last June to pursue a solo career. He wanted to be home more with his wife. I am sure he will do extremely well. The guy that they replaced him with in my opinion is not a good fit. Check out the new guy's bio (Adam Bell-Bastien) and you will see why. Love your reaction!
Tim is a combination of physical talent and lots of training. He offers lessons on his private platform. Geoff Castelluci has gotten pointers from Tim, they're good friends.
#HomeFree has 5 insanely talented artists who have honed their craft over the past 24 years! Best harmonies in the business, hands down.
Insanely talented is absolutely right. I had so much fun reacting to this video. I'm totally here for some more Home Free!!!!! 😊
Time to go down the Home Free rabbit hole

I wrote all of these suggestions down in my handy dandy notebook! Thank you so much and I really enjoyed this group! I am loving these acapella groups. So much raw talent and WAYYYYY better than anything that's in the "mainstream" backed by big labels.
#HomeFree 🤘🤠🤘 yes, that's #TimFoust. Subscribed for #HomeFree. They can all beatbox to a certain extent just not as good as the actual beatboxer lol
Thank you so much for engaging and I am so here for the Home Free rabbit hole!!! 😊
I think you would enjoy Christmas in LA - first the original by Vulfpeck and then the cover by Home Free. Both are a bop.
I have these written down in my handy dandy notebook and I will hopefully get to them in the very near future! This group was sooooo fun to react to!
Tim Foust has a 5 octave range. He is unreal. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, does what's called a "Nomonica". I've heard them live and it's incredible.
I believe the instrument that the beatboxer was doing was a harmonica!
WAAAYYY TOO MUCH COMENTARY
