I'm sorry, but yeah. Live service is entirely reliant on the game surviving long enough. And there's already an absolute bunch of live service shooters some of which are better executed. A superhero property that was revered for its combat made into a clone, kind of funny huh?

Personally the avengers game combat was really good for each hero which is why it hurt so much that the missions were bad and even the way missions are set up is bad but this game is so disappointing cause on paper this has everything that’s needed to be a good game! Iconic hero universe, playable characters who are also iconic, individuality in traversal and a renown studio for making beloved games and yet this is it re-skin after re-skin and missions the same as the last the only redeemable thing in this game are the cutscenes which are actually really good especially the flash cutscenes they look good have good lines and are entertaining (except the Batman send off way too short and anticlimactic especially for Kevin’s final performance)
It doesn’t need to be studied because we know why they messed up so bad and it’s because to head honchos from rocksteady who were there since Arkham asylum left and a ton others left too

I used to be a suicide squad defender. And then they made us pay for the joker and the battle pass. I regret buying and ever playing. Definitely a watch in UA-cam kinda game. The best part of it is the characters interacting with eachother

It is such a shame. Rocksteady Games is an incredibly talented video game studio, and the Batman: Arkham Games have inspired so many great games that have come after it, most notably Insomniacs Spider-Man games. Rocksteady could have made some more incredible games after Arkham Knight released. A Batman Beyond game, a Red Hood game, a Nightwing game, a Batfamily game, a Superman game, a Flash game, a Justice League game. But nope, they decide to make a live service, poorly written, boring, grindy game based on the Suicide Squad. 🤦

Story wise Avengers was probably better even though it was extremely boring. Gameplay wise it’s SS and it’s not close. SS gameplay is way more fluid and satisfying and you have more exploration freedom. You don’t have to wait in a bus every time you go on a mission.

Nah, gameplay in this game is pretty much ass. All you do is mash buttons to do the same animation, no skill or variation required. The traversal has a few things like Captain Boomerang, but that's it. 'Avengers' might be boring, but at least it had multiple gameplay styles instead of the same shooter brawler style.
