Thank you so much for watching! Will do!
We were just there!! It was awesome crabbing!! Great job guys!!
Thank you! Spot is great with patience. Wondering how crabbing is from a boat around this area as well.
I live up on the north end of the county ( Raymond) , can you suggest a location near where you where. I am a disabled veteran and the rock location is something I could manage as it would not require a long rough walk
Thank you, Ron. US Marine Ret.
@@marinevet7273 Thank you for your service! There is only one jetty on Cape Disappointment State Park so it is easy to find once you get in. The only tricky part is getting to the other side of the rocks since there are tons of big rocks that you'll have to navigate. Otherwise, not too far of a walk from the parking lot.
Where is that location?
5:45 keep constant pressure on the line. When you pump the rod you loosen the snares when the line goes slack. Just keep reeling with a bent rod tip. Great crab though!
Thank you! Will definitely have to keep this in mind. We lost so many snares because of this too!
Looks amazing! what's the limit per person?
Thank you so much! It really just depends on where you're crabbing. I think in the area we were at the time, it was 12 🦀.
I have never tried that way of catching crabs. Looks like it's lot cheaper than with a boat. How long did it take you to get that many. Westport you can drop your pots from the docks. Thanks for a great video.
This took us a few hours to include figuring out how much weight to use! Westport has been on our list! Thank you
Good job on catching those crabs! Just a fyi you can keep up to 12 males and it only has to be 5 3/4 inch when crabbing at that jetty.
Not according to the game warden
Do yourself a favor and look up the rules here and send me your sincere apologies. wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/shellfishing-regulations/crab/seasons-areas/columbia-river
Thank you!
Do you have links to the crab snares you use? Thanks
Unfortunately, we cannot find the same model we were using anywhere online. We got our favorite ones from Sportsman Warehouse.
Any good hotel near beach or cottage for crabbing
There's a few around Astoria across the river.
Razors are the best bait
