This song hits me different…I used to be on meds for anxiety and depression for about a year…and I remember only wanting to sleep nothing else but pass the time...I am much better now but this song is one of few that is a tear jerker for me. The whole purpose of it highlights adam going through depression and suicidal thoughts, but in the end he carries on and as time passes things get better. So if anyone reads this and is going through something…there are better days ahead!

Yup, keep in mind bad times always come but also that they pass. I tried meds and it kept me in bed for two weeks just laying there wide awake but not functioning for like 4-5 hours. I hoped it would get better but i gave up on the meds and turned to working out and eating right. If u haven't tried working out, give it a try. The way i think of it is, some of us are like pitbulls.......we got to exercise and burn off a lot of energy(maybe its mental build up of frustration if u don't have any other way of releasing anger/frustration) and for me when i workout hard enough i get a mental release and the happy hormones are great for changing mood as well! Start off slowly and as u get in better shape u can push a little harder and harder. it should help with confidence, controlling the anxiety. The anxiety for me was still there but instead of giving into it, i could calmly be like nah and face whatever was giving me anxiety. I was lucky to pick a crossfit gym where the coach is more about health and longevity than throwing us into a super tough workout that is more likely to hurt us😅

What tuning is this? I used the capo on the 5th fret just like you, but the tone doesn't match at all.

7-31-2015 my brother took his own life. He was 21. Song has always hit different since then. Especially dealing with my own issues. It's a good cover.
