Interesting project. Can’t wait to see it on Tahr.

The accutrigger usually needs some trigger blade return spring removed to make them more usuable. Plus smoothing the face of the blade and trigger with sand clothe is a big improvement from non finished stamped parts.

This was a Jard replacement and a non accutrigger model. The accutrigger is pretty good yep with small amount of work 👌

Nice project, I’m not sure I’d be running 147’s, some of the PRS shooters were having them come apart in flight out of fast twist barrels in the PRC, I’d use the Berger 156

Oosh... I was looking for the outer limits but hard to find here in NZ. US869 was horrible to use as well.

I think you might have bought that stock off me (Tauranga on TM?). Great to see it used in an interesting build!

    Cool build! What's the donut?

If the boat tail of the projectile is seated past the neck when seating out really long once the round is fired you create what is nicknamed a donut on the neck. Donut 👎

Nice project rifle mate love the cartridge... you should look at a magneto speed chronograph they are awesome I've got the shorter model and it's sweet as. I've been using it flat out on my last 2 builds a for custom 243ai on a defiance tenacity and a 22x47 lapua on a nesika model t

Thanks, funny you say that because I looked at one but wondered if the worked on a suppressed rifle. The one I use is unbearably temperamental. Thoughts?

Hey mate, have you ever purchased stuff out of America recently for firearms? I’m wanting to get some leupold qr bassi’s that no one has here and I’m just wanting to know what the process is or who to talk to.

I have but not since they changed import laws. I believe you will need an import permit from the arms officer which gets sent to the crowd your purchasing from. I personally think you would be better off going to Ken at 55six to help you out.

Gidday - hey I'm doing a very similar build on a Savage with an accustock but in 6.5-284. Where did you source your bottom metal from?? Thanks
