Really really informative thank you.

This was an awesome webinar, lot of great information. Thank you!
Our pleasure!
Thank you! It was very helpful. There was a lot to unpack but extremely informative.
Glad it was helpful!
This was so informative thank you
Hi Marty, we’re glad you found it helpful! Let us know if you have any questions or topics you’d like us to cover next
Also, furniture is NOT usually part of an American property real estate purchase. The only thing usually transferring is the actual kitchen, cabinets, oven, sink, etc. so that is inclusive.
Hi Chris, Yes, this was what Sheelagh meant rather than actual furniture! In France, it is very unusual that the house will be sold with any kitchen fittings - often everything in the house is removed by the previous owners, including small things like curtain fittings/light fittings, etc. It's best to be clear exactly what will/won't be left at the time of signing.
I would also like to hear more about how to sell your property in Paris as an example, and all the associated costs.
Great idea, we'll keep that in mind for a future webinar. Thanks!
Good webinar with actionable information. Two items that I wanted more information on were: 1- All the fees and costs above the price of the house that the buyer ends up paying for purchasing a house in France and 2- Annual property tax obligations in France? Any guidance will be appreciated.
Hi Robert, In addition to the price advertised there are the notaires fees of approx 8% payable. These include the conveyancing charges and government taxes.
There are two annual taxes payable every autumn, taxe foncière foncière and taxe habitation.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any other questions.
Do you have to have a birth certificate? So often, here in states, lots of us don't have it. We always have our passport though.
Hi Chris, Yes, you will need your birth certificate, so it's a good idea to apply for this in advance depending on the rules of the state you live in. Best regards, Zoe
