My dear friends, this time my video without update from Kyiv. Yes, I am in Kyiv. But I've been sitting at home for a week now, fighting a new strain of coronavirus to no avail. Just lying there, looking at the ceiling and waiting … for the most merciless and massive missile attack.) Tomorrow is Ukraine's Independence Day. I wonder what presents orcs have prepared for us..... Don't expect intelligent commentary in this video. I think I'm playing a game called "Stupid blonde with a screwdriver and an axe in her hand". I'm already disgusted and uninterested in all this myself. Oh well...we wait for next season when the PhD in Philology goes to work at the university. In a week… P.S. Thank you for your comments, help and support. PayPal - superativ@gmail.com www.buymeacoffee.com/think.ukraine buy.stripe.com/3cs3fdf7SaNXbRe4gg
A four or five tine hand cultivator "hoe" will not only help you scratch the dirt around your plants, which helps to loosen it up to remove weeds and aureate the soil, but it will also reach up into the tree to pull fruit. A battery operated weed eater is a lot better than the gasoline one you struggle to start. Yes, battery powered hand tools are very convenient. If you stick with using the same brand, then your batteries will all be the same, so while you use one, the others can charge. As far as water goes, you can keep a 10 gallon Igloo Water Jug/Cooler in the back of you vehicle. Put ice inside it and have cold water all day. You can get their Ice Chest to keep your food chilled. You can make your coffees or tea at your apartment and pour it into a Thermos and have hot to warm coffee most of the day. A bomb shelter makes for a great root cellar. Get a thermometer 🌡️ and put it in at early morning, then at the hottest time of the day, check to see what its highest temperature will be. I like a lot of different foods, so I don't have a favorite, but I mostly just eat steak, eggs, chicken, salmon, protein powder, and canned meats, like tuna or sardines. I rarely eat fruits or vegetables. I like chilli dogs. Grill the hotdog 🌭 weiners on a grill and sort-of blacken them. Slightly toast the hotdog buns. Insert the dog into the bun cavity. Squirt either ketchup or Heinz yellow mustard, then cover with steaming hot Wolf Brand chili, covered with either Coleslaw or pickles. The sweet pickle relish or bread-and-butter slices are yummy choices. Chow down and prepare yourself for an overeating experience, because you won't be able to stop before you've gone too far. A very simple junk food, is taking a small bag of Frito corn chips, cut away the top to use the rest of the bag as a bowl, or dump them in a bowl and use the bowl as a bowl. 🤔 Anyway, pour lots of hot steamy Wolf Brand chili over the chips, cover the chips with as much shredded cheddar 🧀 cheese as you like, then add whatever salsa or slices of jalapeno peppers. 🌶️. Dig in and ask God to forgive you for gluttony after you've pigged 🐷 out
Nice cooking Vid Vita. :) But we never saw the cooked apples being devoured? :/ I'm hoping they were delicious! :) You're nearly 10K subs too Vita so don't forget to make a special Vid to celebrate your milestone! :D ..... 😀🎂🥳
Wishing you a fast recovery, take rest please. Before the war, I had no idea of Ukraine, but now I learn and Ukrainian vloggers are an important part in this. A video on philology would be nice.
Hi Vita, you should have your own TV channel,do you realize how funny you are. You always look on the bright side of life, even under the harsh circumstances that you are your country are in during at present. Take high amounts of vitamin C for Covid at least 10,000 milligrams a day as this will help you.
can feel my blood pressure lowering while watching such peaceful village life. might be a good idea to wear glasses when chopping wood...take care dear
My darling Vitalina, is that OK to use The lina on the end of your name?. You are not ordinary, far from it, you're the most Extraordinary lady I've ever known! You've never lost your sense of humour, never lost who you are and have maintained your dignity at all times.. Am sure I speak for All of us, who enjoy your clips, you're Incredible and a shining example of the good in̈ people... I love your videos, seeing you smile, laughing as you try to chop wood I JUST found out you have Covid, as did I, a few weeks AGO, Hoping you recover soon, Sending you all my love When Ukraine is victorious, I hope to visit Ukraine ❤ Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava
I was wondering how the apples came out? You're very resourceful, and it's cool to see. The lake looked very nice, too. Richie seems like my dog was--he didn't like water unless it was warm and for a bath!
Hello Vita, hope you are doing well. That was a very nice lake and scenery. I liked the Ford pickup truck in front of you. That's what I drive. Do you think about getting your roof repaired? You know I wish you the best. Stay strong and safe.
This is awesome. I would love to live in a small house in these villages! the lake looks amazing! It seems very peaceful, especially considering that a war is going.
Vita, i have found great interest in your video from California. I od pray for Ukraine, and for the victory. Thank you for your voice in all this. Be of good courage, Ukraine will win as you should.
Ma'am may I suggest an easier way to split that? Set the axe in the end then hold it on the stump while you use a baton , well maul, to drive the axe blade through the log. Love you all y'all. Stay safe, stay strong. Hi from Florida.
Every single video makes me smile! Oh, and I'm stealing that apple recipe 😄Dear Vita, please take care! I hope soon you will find yourself in good health again. 🙏Слава Україні! 🇧🇪 ❤🩹🇺🇦
Beautiful Vita, the spirit of Ukrainian villagers always work harder & enjoy the fruits of their labour. A beautiful lake house away from it all! I would choose a village over the city any day! Happy Independence Day to Ukraine 🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini ⭐
I have had logs like the one you work the little green hatchet on. My own rule is if it is in less than an inch (roughly 25mm) I work it back out, then smack it again and try for a slightly different spot. It mostly happens around knots in the wood (unless it is a still wet evergreen), so I try to avoid the knot end. I mostly only smash the wood on the stump when the hatchet is at least half way down the wood. Also hatchets are a one hand (overhead) strike, not a 2 hand tool like an axe. Swinging only the hatchet with one hand uses much less of your energy than trying to swing both the hatchet and the wood each time. If it gets stuck in the wood, wiggle it out and try a different spot with the wood on the stump and only the hatchet in your hand. Wearing gloves is advised. With experience and practice you will learn how to spot and hit the sweet spot in each log you split and one or two stroke splits will become the norm. Only split dry wood. Green wood will not split well. Remember to touch up the hatchet (or an axe if you also have one of those) edge with a file and stone now and then. You want about a 34 - 40 degree uniform angle on each bevel. Save 15 - 25 degree bevels for knife blades that won't be taking impacts. If you made a hatchet oe axe as thinly sharp as a kitchen knife the edge would fold over at impact instead of wedging it's way into the wood. You can probably find bigger batteries for that drill which will give you longer run times between charges. I built a similar wood cabinet. I also put some caser wheels on the bottom so I can roll it around when I want to move it. Bugs are the worst part about cooking and eating outdoors. Bees can be annoying, but wasps and ants are even more so. Slava Ukraine.
Love your videos. All this hard work is working you look great. Just a little advice on splitting wood when you have the piece of wood stuck on your axe turn it around and hit the blunt end on the block of wood. This allows you to use the weight of the piece of wood to split itself.
Some how, always funny to watch you. Some jobs take two,but you manage.Showing Ukraine as it is brings back memories of driving and seeing many places there.I liked it very much.
Hi Veta, first hope you get well very soon. Always love your videos!❤❤❤ And you are never dumb, silly at times but that is what makes you so cute. If you can't laugh at yourself then life would be boring. Make life fun!😁💕❤💕💕💕

The shot at the beginning of the video of you splitting wood is priceless. Love the Freedom tee-shirt. Your roses look great. I didn't trim mine and they are not doing so well. I will have to try better. The apples look delicious.
Vita, you are doing great in your DYI projects and eating healthy off your land! You're an inspiration to me, for I am a widower too. I only wish the best for the brave people of Ukraine 🇺🇦. I have heard that Russia has banned UA-cam. Obviously, the government is afraid of the truth getting out to the population. Be well, strong lady!

I think I speak on behalf of all your community that I wish you a speedy recovery and a brilliant future for you and your family. Warmest wishes, glory to Ukraine.
You know - you interpreted that rainbow exactly right! Due to the power outage, that our team "never give up" caused to protect you from DJ-Alco, you might not have been able to follow this: Another great cook, lovely story teller and wonderful mother last night promised: "I will stand strong with Ukraine and our NATO allies". She is known to keep promises! And to outperform expectations. She is such compelling that she is about to orchestrate an unstoppable wave of support for freedom that can only have its capital in Kyiv. Hopefully she goes there soon. We made her already our latest dear friend in our "Never give up" team! The rest is now up for us to do! But now we will for certain have all we need. And that is on top of that commitment from POTUS #47 actually not so much any more. Because that rainbow must as well have known, that the Kremlins are in some damn rough times, no plan and no skills to cope with having no plan. "When we fight we win". As well from the other mum. We fight! And have great times ahead! We DO have to - to give sense to these flags on Independent Square... 💙💛 💙💛 💙💛
Winter is coming so get some dry firewood. It's a good idea to have a Chimney Sweep clean the chimney. Make sure he has a black suit, a top hat and arrives on a bicycle. Then you'll know he's a professional!
I know it is not without its struggles and difficulties - plus the backdrop of war, of course - but you always show the beautiful side of Ukrainian village life too, especially in summertime. You are so resourceful, cooking food you prepared yourself on the barbecue you made yourself. Those apples look delicious and I felt hungry watching them cooking. Looks like the rose loved its fish too! Greetings and rainbow wishes from the UK. 🙏 🌈
Hi Vita, get well soon✌! (Btw cooking is overrated: Raw food is something too, even if it might be difficult sometimes to stay below 42°Celsius in the summer heat)😉
it's an Uncle Larry rainbow! It's a long story. Uncle Larry was US military intelligence, and this really is an awesome, excellent sign for Ukraine! Glad to see it! Take care!
Привіт, Віта. Сподіваюся, ви скоро одужаєте. З Днем Незалежності🇺🇦✌🏻 With all your village adventures you've got a very nice suntan 😊 Kisses and hugs from Athens, Ellada 🇬🇷❤️🇺🇦😘
Hi George ❤️ Thank you! It’s an old video. Right now, I'm the pale embodiment of the coronavirus.🙈 Lots of love to Ellada, the magic place I’ll visit after our Victory 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
What an inspiration. Thanks as I’m grieving some loss now too but you deal with it with such grace and class. I can’t figure out if it’s your accent or just foreign sound is so graceful. Anyway I digress Vita come to Miami Beach Florida and we also have village house! Dog will luv it!
Hey Vita. I see your DIY skills have improved. I can watch you painting a, whatever that is, without fear you severly hurt yourself. And don´t insult yourself, find a man that can do this for you.😁 Good thing you didn´t loose your humor yet.🤗
My comments are primitive and far from intellectual. This is not a planned video. I just needed to keep my mind busy to save myself from a panic attack on the eve of a scary night.
@@ThinkUkraine I respectfully disagree. Simple language is not primitive, but is clear, concise and to the point. As to the intellectual aspect, simplicity goes a long way and it is the thought behind the observation. I have learned a great deal from your videos and for that I am grateful. You pedagogical training shines through. I completely understand the need for distraction, especially under your present conditions. Fear, sleep deprivation, uncertainty all wreak havoc. I enjoy your pointing out “Soviet” things, houses, memorials, etc. I was watching a news piece on UA-cam from Kyiv Post showing the De-Sovietizing of the statue of Lenin in Sudzha.
Hi, Vita, I have some minor bits of unsolicited advice. Firewood: you need a longer axe. It doesn't have to be a lot heavier, mostly longer to let physics do the work for you. And please, please, please, closed-toed shoes (minimum) or boots (better) when cutting wood! Weeds: If you got the string trimmer running, just trim everything as close to the ground as you can. Then, cover a large patch with clear waterproof plastic from the DIY store. Put bricks and rocks around the sheet's entire perimeter, really seal it up well. Let it sit for a few weeks. During Summer, the weeds will cook down to the roots. Any weed seeds will also be cooked. Once you remove the plastic sheet, be prepared for a fairly awful "wet cabbage" smell. You can rake the roots out with a steel rake and a hoe. This is MUCH less work than pulling gigantic weeds out of the ground by their roots. 🙂 In late Fall, once your vegetables are harvested and removed, you can do something similar with your garden plot. It's called a "lasagna garden:" cover the entire plot with a layer of cardboard, then a layer of bagged compost, and then a layer of straw. Add layers in the same order (two layers are great, three are better if the soil is poor). Finally, cover the plot with netting to prevent the wind from blowing everything away. In Spring, you will have amazing soil and LOTS of happy earthworms. The landscape fabric you're using probably isn't UV-stable, so it will deteriorate rapidly if exposed to the sun. The fabric is intended to be covered by wood mulch or stone. You may not have had a digger in your yard at all; the fabric can act like that from wear and sun exposure. There are advantages and disadvantages to wood and stone mulch: wood mulch is cheaper but it has to be replenished every year or two whereas stone tends to stay in place but costs more initially. Wood mulch decomposes and lets weeds grow on top of and eventually through the fabric whereas stone doesn't contribute biomass for weeds to root in, but you will still get small weeds. These can be taken care of with a spray bottle full of vinegar, a few tablespoons of salt, and a bit of dish soap to make the solution stick to the weeds. Cheers!
Wow, yes! Fish is a excelllent plant food. When I was a kid, we grew cannabis on the islands. We would catch fish, chop them up and use them as fertilizer. Just made the best smoke but it tasted....odd.
Vita you are a natural in front of the camera. I think you need you own show DYI with Vita. Prayers for You, your family and Ukraine. You are doing a great job, Edward from California.

A female car driver who uses her car's direction indicators....I am impressed
I don't swim, but I can chop wood and pick apples if you need a hand?
The shot at the beginning of the video of you splitting wood is priceless.
Love the Freedom tee-shirt.
Your roses look great. I didn't trim mine and they are not doing so well. I will have to try better.
The apples look delicious.

you can remove one brick at bottom(from the side wall i mean) on the level where logs lie. or replace it with half a brick. airflow like in a furnace
Vita, you are doing great in your DYI projects and eating healthy off your land! You're an inspiration to me, for I am a widower too. I only wish the best for the brave people of
Ukraine 🇺🇦.
I have heard that Russia has banned UA-cam. Obviously, the government is afraid of the truth getting out to the population.
Be well, strong lady!
Vita I know I say this often but every single time I watch one of your videos I am always amazed.By your creativity and yes of course a lot of your activities at your country estate (LOL 😂😜I like that your "country estate" :) ) as you make do with what you have and do what you have to do.

You know -
you interpreted that rainbow exactly right!
Due to the power outage, that our team "never give up" caused to protect you from DJ-Alco, you might not have been able to follow this:
Another great cook, lovely story teller and wonderful mother last night promised:
"I will stand strong with Ukraine and our NATO allies".

Hi Vita hope you feel better soon ,happy Independence Day💙💛love to you all, take care
Thank you!🙏♥️❤️♥️
Winter is coming so get some dry firewood. It's a good idea to have a Chimney Sweep clean the chimney. Make sure he has a black suit, a top hat and arrives on a bicycle. Then you'll know he's a professional!
Thank you!
Hello from Philadelphia 🇺🇸
Greetings to Philadelphia 🇺🇸❤️
@@ThinkUkraine Hope you feel better COVID-19 sucks 😔 (hugs) 🙏✝️🛐❤️🇺🇸
Hi Vita I no to well what's it like missing someone I hope you get well soon stay strong and safe all our ❤btovyou and your family ❤❤from the UK ❤
Thank you!🙏❤️❤️❤️
Hi Vita, get well soon✌!
Take care!
Happy independence day
Привіт, Віта.
Stay safe!
Thank you!❤️♥️❤️
What an inspiration. Thanks as I’m grieving some loss now too but you deal with it with such grace and class. I can’t figure out if it’s your accent or just foreign sound is so graceful. Anyway I digress Vita come to Miami Beach Florida and we also have village house! Dog will luv it!
Dumbest? That's you choice. You are as much of a true blonde as I am the King of England. Take care. 🤗
Thank you. ♥️
Hey Vita. I see your DIY skills have improved. I can watch you painting a, whatever that is, without fear you severly hurt yourself. And don´t insult yourself, find a man that can do this for you.😁 Good thing you didn´t loose your humor yet.🤗
Your commentary is great, don't stop.
Wonderful swimm places, nice to relax at such a pond or see…Holliday places 😎🇺🇦😇🍀
In late Fall, once your vegetables are harvested and removed, you can do something similar with your garden plot.
Cheers!

Get well soon! Covid sucks!
Thank you!🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hello Vital from the capital of freedom and Invincible Ukraine.
Thank you Edward!❤️♥️❤️
Happy Independence Day Vita!
Vita. I can see exponential growth in your production skills. Really good to watch.
