      Thanks so much for the message, Barry. I tried the Vypyr too ...really didn't like it. Hard to use, didn't sound good anyway. Super helpful. Just got mine yesterday. I like the simplicity of the dial with 10 sounds per selection. But I hadn't figured out programming yet, so very nice tutorial. Thanks. How does programming compare to the Zoom B1Four? Which is more user friendly?

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Thomas. t seems to me that the older the pedal is, the easier it is to program. The G1FOUR is quite tricky I think, but in a completely different way to the Vox which is also tricky. So they're both equally un-user-friendly :(

    • @thomasfioriglio
      @thomasfioriglio 3 роки тому

      @@gearfacts 😂😂😂 Thank you. I appreciate the reply. I ordered the Vox and have been playing around with it for a few days and it just seems like a lot of effort. I don't like the numbers. I'm looking at the Zoom and I see they name their sounds. To me, an effect called "Auto Wah" is much easier to describe than "#62". So, I may give the Zoom a try and return the Vox.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  3 роки тому +1

      @@thomasfioriglio Yes that's a fair point. Some people don't care, some people hate it. With units that use numbers, I just memorize categories for the first number. So 1 might be clean, 2 could be crunch, 3 fuzz, 4 ambient, and so on. But yes, it's a system that make operating the thing even more cryptic.

    From your experience with modeling tones, which machines sounds the best? I just ordered this to get more tones and distortions and everything else is a plus for being mobile. Seems like this tech in front of a tube amp or a idcore will do the sonic tricks into proper Psychedelic rock tones and classic rock the best. • @gearfacts

      Glad you liked the video :) To change one effect, I just create two identical patches right beside each other. @@gearfacts Update: I ended up selling my unit a few months ago due to 'Option paralysis', too much time spent fiddling with the settings. Solid unit though, but wasn't good for me.

    seems a bit confusing but once you get the hang of operating this thing it would be pretty damn awesome with all the different things you can do with it. I'm gonna buy one because the I just started playing bass recently and the little Ashdown 30 bass amp i purchased is rather disappointing by itself lol

    Good tutorial. It just takes a little patience on the learning curve. When all is learned, it will be piece of cakes tweaking it.

      I wanna ask something, is it ok that I use this pedal (the red one) for my guitar ? I don’t have a bass

      @@momosstudio8432 Yes! It's a co-incidence that you mentioned this, I have a Stomplab Bass arriving today (hopefully) and I'll be testing it with a standard guitar. I tried this a few years back but I don't think I uploaded a video about it. I'll also be testing it with a keyboard. It's going to be great. So yep, go forth and use it on guitar. Who knows, you might come up with a tone that's completely new and inspirational :) Gearfacts
