You always knew what group was playing by the voice. Charlie Waller's and John Duffy 's voices were a unique singing duo never to be repeated again!

The one and only Charlie Waller. They were bluegrass when bluegrass wasn't cool. The country gentlemen were pioneers that really set the standard of modern performers. Charlie Wallers voice was one you would recognize if you were blindfolded. He had a very mellow sound that could sing about any type of music. I'm just glad he chose bluegrass. I have really enjoyed the gentlemen over the years.

I remember this show, both the first time and then later on this tribute show after Charlie passed away. What a voice. He could sing anything. I've heard him do some folk songs that were awesome.

I just ran across this video again....after NINE years...and it is an excellent rendition. The song requires a certain restraint and The Country Gentlemen did it perfectly.
