At 7:14 wouldn't the distance between the x-axis be (0.75 + 0.5) because that's what it is perpendicular to.

Hello Mathew, you are correct. The right distance should be 1.25 and the correct answer for (Ma)x = 1.225kN*m.
I will try to upload this video again so people dont get misguided by this mistake soon.
