Julian honestly has the most underrated and overlooked character arc/development in the series. From arrogant rich kid, to having his ego bruised and then horribly humiliated, to picking himself back up. Heck, this battle resonated with me personally during a time when I used to be good at something, then kept failing over and over again, thinking I was no good, then seeing this battle and learning no one wins forever and it’s ok to fail as long as you pick yourself back up. I also like how this was the one match that never got to happen because China vs EU ended in a 2-0, and it’s Dashian won this and essentially avenged his team’s loss while the rest of his team got defeated back then
Dashan in general is underrated due to him and his team losing to gang gang galaxy early on, I don't think anyone expected him to beat Julian. But yeah I wish they both became legendary bladers, especially Dashan since Aguma was on team nemesis at first.
Hands down my favorite battle I remember waking up on a Saturday morning and blasting this on Cartoon Network when I was a kid. I still come back and rewatch this episode for the fight.
This is one of my favorite battle in Beyblae ever, and I would have liked to see how Da Xian vs Julian would have gone back in the tournament. At that time, we don't know how strong Da Xian was, but we can imagine that he was already widening the gap between himself and his teammates (we've seen how Chao Xin and Chi Yun, even with the help of Kenta, were struggling against Selene and Enzo, while Da Xian was beating Julian) ; we know that Julian was at the same level with which he battled with Gingka. Da Xian could have countered the Eyes of Medusa easily just like he did in Hades city, and Julian didnt have Gravity brave yet (and Da Xian didn't seem to have any problem fighting Destroyer's left rotation, which we know he was using because the Gravity brave arrow scattered during their fight). I think it would have come down to how stront the Crushing blast was at that point in time. Black Excalibur seemed unbeatable, overpowering the Star Booster attack easily. However, the Black Excalibur seems to be a direct hit, and Zurafa is much more defensive than Pegasus, especially with its rubber wings. Ultimately, I think that without plot (Excalibur had to win), it could've gone either way between those two, depending on how strong Da Xian had gotten at the time (we've seen how strong Julian became by training before facing Star Breaker, so I don't think it'd be crazy to think that Da Xian would've had a chance).
We should’ve got a Julian vs king battle in metal fury. It would’ve been cool to see Julian progress as a blader and actually be able to put up a fight against king
This battle is the reason why I wanted Julian and dashan to be legendary blader plus it would of been a good return arc story for Julian in gaining the star fragments
I love Beyblade Metal Masters: The Fallen Emperor - Ep.98. it was a good episode for julian character.

Da Xiang is my favorite character and I'm glad he proved himself stronger than the other big boss Julian

2:35 There is no failure, you either succeed, or give up
I wanted Julian to be a legendary blader sooo bad, he would’ve got his respect back

Also. Another good reason Is because they revealed Gravity destroyer was based on Varyares
