A friend of mine introduced me to Susan years ago with the song "Rock Me Right". I assumed it was something Bonnie Raitt had done but he said, "no, her name is Susan Te Desk-ie". He died shortly after that and I bought everything she ever produced. I've seen her live numerous times and she is truly a modern marvel. Hardly anyone knows her outside the blues or live venue realms but she deserves far more attention than she gets. So it goes. . .
What a welcome voice she brings, a little soul,a little Bonnie Tyler,Kim Carne's, and her own is second to not one soul. And his touch on the guitar is one you recognise immediately, and that's a damn good sign he is phenomenal. And the band they have assembled ,and their other vocalists are freaking all world talents. Thank you Susan and Derek for the chills and tears you have sent down my cheeks and spine. Love your dedication and thank you so much for sharing your souls with the world.
I pray to gig gods that Susan will tour again on her own. I truly miss all her solo stuff. I love TTB but I love love love love her solo albums, yes, albums, a few CD's. Let us start a petition!
One of the greatest ways to cheat oneself is to cling to the belief that only one singer can be great. UA-cam proves there is a smorgasboad of great singers and bands.
I think she does this song so well. And I agree with the poster.....I have yet to see her live....but WHEN I do.....i definitely hope she plays this. best break up song ever...yes!!
I was lucky enough to be exposed to her music by a friend and see her in quite a few small settings. What a voice and talent! Love TTB! But definitely miss her pre shows!
MsMetalMom - Thanks for pointing that out. It's too funny when she utters the tiniest little "thank you" after broadcasting with such power & presence.
@prismajan I saw her for my first time in 2003 with the Allman Brothers. she blew my socks off! she did this song in the middle of hte second set, it was a nice change of pace from all the gritty jams.
I've tried looking it up on google, etc, but it seems to me that the string solo here is a viola, and not a violin. Am I crazy? It just seems to be in a lower pitch than a regular violin...
For a heavy singing voice her talking voice is so gentle.
Just what I needed... the wisdom of Dylan and the soul of Tedeschi.
Hands down the best female musician
to EVER play. Derek and Susan ..
A musical match made in heaven.
I am a huge fan =-)
That is the best cover of Dylan's song I have ever heard! Tedeschi is the real thing!
Mike Beaty . bhai
Her voice just strikes straight through to my soul.
Best blues singer since Janis Joplin and Dusty Springfield. Awesome
Ronald Woods way better
I love this song. She sings it beautifully.
Oh she's got Soul and captures the melancholy of Bob's masterpiece just perfectly ...
Ultimate break-up song! "You just kinda wasted my precious time ..."
This is my favorite version of this song. Well done!

Susan Tedeschi and a Bob Dylan song. What's not to like .........
At first glance, she looks like a young Jodie Foster! Anyways, she did an awesome job covering this song.
Angelic, the first time I watched this I cried like a little girl lol
Great version!!!
I saw it years ago on Austin city limits, just so touching
she is one of the best blue eyed soul singers. And she was pre Winehouse. I love this version of this song. Oh and dont hate I love Amy too.

Sounded a bit like Cilla Black's voice at the start.
im i the only one who thinks Amos Lee shoulf cover this song?
This is b4 she was married to Derek trucks
I know it's six years later, but in the CD of this gig she mentions her husband Derek Trucks. And slightly alters the lyrics to It Hurt So Bad.
I liked the version with the organ solo better than this one.
I hope you will accept my video response =)
