It's awesome to see a heavy character that's good. In platform fighters, sometimes heavy characters just just forrible because they have huge hitboxes and slow options.
In competitive play Bowser is def above average but at top level there's a reason Leon is the only Bowser that can do anything significant and he's been struggling to compete offline for a while now. At that very tournament (Overclocked 4) he switched off Bowser twice because it was so difficult for Bowser. I was there XD (I finished 49th). Leon finished 13th. Bowser is solid but he's a little overrated at top level play.
Love watching a Bowser destroy characters like this. Always hated those fast blitzy characters especially in Melee...or Star Fox the fighting game, as it's otherwise known as. Love watching the big guy trample folks.
I hate Bowser so much. I main Meta Knight and my rapid jap is one of my most useful moves, and i hate the fact, Bowser has a lot of super armor moves and a unique character mechanic that makes him just ignore any rapid jap.
To be fair tho, bowser would probably be a low tier if it wasn’t for the tough guy mechanic. Even now it would be a lot more frustrating to play as him vs a falco laser spammer instead of playing against him with it Actually gives him a chance
