So glad to have contributed to help Misty's daughter with college. Never forget, we care about you Devin! You are a good man! Much love and respect to you. It's good to talk about your thoughts and feelings from time to time and your sharing your videos is much appreciated. We all give you a collective hug.
I don’t think that’s the point. The problem was is would it be covered under warranty. Any backyard mechanic could fix or replace parts. But in his case, it’s still under warranty and stuff like that may void the warranty all together. It’ll get expensive out of pocket if you start doing that stuff.
Sorry for your loss my friend, I am glad you share the cost with us, this stuff isn`t cheap to buy, nor is it cheap to service. $1,000 for filters, $300 for hydraulic oil, I bet that alternator is $300 easy, and probably $300 to install, and I bet the welder is gonna want $300, those have to be cut off, ground down clean and rewelded, sounds like $300 easy to me. I can`t believe how popular Cummings diesels are and it`s 10 weeks out for an alternator, shame on Cummings, who can have a machine with thier engine in it, down for 10 weeks, keep your chin up my friend.
As a recent subscriber I had not heard about the loss of your fiancée; that freakin' sucks!! Glad to hear your dealers are not slacking on the jobs to get you up and running again. We need our mulching fix ! 🤣
Such a touching story, thank you for sharing. This video really highlights how important everyday work and support from friends and partners are. I hope all the equipment issues get resolved soon and that the work continues smoothly. Keep up the great work! 🚜✨
Appreciate the update on what is all going on with the equipment, like you said, you gotta maintain your equipment, and you have to keep on top of it.great little video as always.been 18 months, hard to believe.hopefully everything will be fixed asap .just continue on doing what you do best.be safe 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Davin, My Condolences to you and family. I think you are very Mechanically inclined person. Have you considered taking a welding class? It may be very useful for you in the future.
I’m sorry you were having so much trouble with your equipment. While everything is being worked on it’s a perfect opportunity to take some time for you. Relax, go fishing or something. I know there’s work to be done but don’t worry it will all work out in the end.
The boot dryer, in the back of your trunk, is the best investment you can ever make if you work outside and have to deal with all of the rain we get. I even use mine in the summertime to dry my boots out from sweat (yeah I sweat pretty bad). Had someone who was in the military suggest I get one 10 years ago b/c I was talking out how wet boots suck. Never knew that they existed but now I can't live without it.
Blimey Davin that was an absolutely brutal introduction & heart breaking also. I been watching your videos a long but I must have missed things when all that all happened.
Devon it doesn't seem like 18 months have gone by since Misty's passing. She will forever be a part of you. She supported you so much as you did her. Sorry to hear about the delay on the parts. Greg and everyone have always done an excellent job of keeping you and your equipment running. Until next time be safe.
I am so sorry for your loss. Blessings and take on day at a time. It costs money to make money. Can't believe the cost of maintenance those big toys. We❤❤❤
Ran into a guy today with an ASV 135 and Loftness mulcher. He shares your misery with Cummins parts delays. He also shared how happy he is with his machine. Said he used to have a Bobcat with an extra cooler and it still overheated constantly. It was a fun conversation, thanks to what I have learned from your videos.
Fingers crossed Devin. Maybe there is one sitting on a shelf somewhere in bfe that your shop can acquire quickly. And yes, equipment is very costly to maintain, not to mention the new inflation tax we all are paying nowadays.
You need to find someone close by you who rebuilts alternators and starters. They can usually have one rebuilt in a couple of hours if they have all the parts. There's a guy close by to me that does that, and he does everything from cars to quarry haul trucks to excavators and everything in between.
Great to see you once again and even wqith all the issues you are currently having on your two major machines, that at least you were still able to finish this job. Hope you can at least get little Munchie welded and taken care of and running like she is surpposed to, while waiting for the altanatior for Big Munchie. God bless you always.
Easy welding brother! No problem for a real welder! Little one goes on top so it has a little surface to weld the small one and leave the weld exposed for strength! Easy fix Davin! I’ve welded all the cutters on a few drums and our machine shop balanced them at the end of the process! Good luck my friend!
Me fascinan tus videos tan reales , sencillos y humanos . Te felicito. Cómo una mujer tan joven como tu pareja falleció de un Infarto? A qué se debió. Sentido Pésame.
This is the first time I’ve seen you on the John Deer zero turn. It’s great seeing you on another piece of equipment. I still love big and little munchy!
Heavy equipment comes with a heavy cost to maintain and repair it. The hourly rates are for a reason. Still heartbroken over Misti. But her memory lives on and I am sure she would make you clean out her car ;) 😊
Practically every alternator bought in an auto parts shop is rebuilt. Paying 3x or 4x and waiting 10 weeks is crazy! I'm sure the warranty company will approve a rebuilt one.
Save the 5 Gal buckets for oil, and next service order barrel of your of your oil from Napa and it will only cost two oil changes and you'll have 15 gal of make up oil left.
Davin take the part number off the alternator, to napa buddy you could possibly get a new one from napa or just get the bad one rebuilt, it would cost you but no warranty but youd be back up and running pretty quick
If ASV is like Cat, they will occasionally have sales on fluids and filters that will undercut the prices on equivalent NAPA products. Find out when that is happening and stockpile for a year's worth of services.
I’m sure that there is an ASV dealer closer than this but, the Briggs Equiptment in Jacksonville fl, they are an ASV dealer, if so get them to send it up to your guy, a week tops
How old is that JD Zero turn? I believe that machine has made you some good dough over the years. What all can you cut with it? Looks like it would be a good resource for the person just starting out. Might be a great video idea. All about the green monster and what it can/cannot do. My 2 cents. Thanks..
I KNOW YOU Frustration. Had a Cummins in one of my pusher motorhomes with a de felice alternator. It would fault out every couple hundred miles. I had to buy two spares and have them rebuilt at my local NAPA dealer in DURHAM, CT. I had all the tools and got quite proficient at swapping. I traded the rig in and the new one used a different brand. NO PROBLEMS. Good luck with 70 days. Maybe a subscriber has a source for you.
Forgive me if you already covered this, but did you check the brushes on the alternator? That is a perishable item worth checking - I have fixed many alternator problems by simply changing the brushes, and the alternator did NOT need to be swapped. It take only seconds to do this
Wow. ^ grand on mini ex to fix AC. Now probably another 3 grand on big munch. Dude you have to make a ton of money just to keep things running. Good luck with it!
Alternator shops are a thing of the past, sir. Especially the ones that have the computer chips in them like that ASV. The reason it's on back order is because of said chips.
Here's an idea. Since your equipment is so expensive to maintain, why not set up an account where you deposit 10% to 20% of what you make into that account BEFORE you pay anyone/anything else. By building up a sizeable amount of money in this account, then the bill for all the maintenance/repair/etc. won't be as bad to your bottom line. Think of it as budgeting for the future.
Been watching you for a bit and had no idea. I'm so sorry man. I know you aren't looking for sympathy, but man life is a son of a bitch. I lost my daughter when she was 8. What a kick in the stomach. And we have to continue on living and working and moving. It's hard and it sucks lol
And first and foremost prayers for you, and Misty's daughter and family
So glad to have contributed to help Misty's daughter with college. Never forget, we care about you Devin! You are a good man! Much love and respect to you. Any alternator shop can rebuild the original in 20 minutes and be as good as new.
I was thinking about that also!
Great minds think alike 😎
Facts! And we’ve got several places here in Myrtle Beach that can do it.
I don’t think that’s the point. The problem was is would it be covered under warranty. Any backyard mechanic could fix or replace parts. People sometimes don't think about what it costs to run the equipment. Service, repair, teeth, fuel, travel time etc.
I’m a new subscriber. I had no idea of what you’re going through. Sorry for your loss. Much respect.
Hang in there bud. Just push thru it. You'll be fine.

I am impressed how well the ZERO-TURN worked!
I’m sorry you were having so much trouble with your equipment. While everything is being worked on it’s a perfect opportunity to take some time for you. Relax, go fishing or something. I know there’s work to be done but don’t worry it will all work out in the end.
Break downs are a way of life and there's always another way to get it done great video thanks Davin

Good job and video Brother. Oh the joys of being an owner/operator of equipment. Man I’m glad I have mechanical skills and tools.
Blimey Davin that was an absolutely brutal introduction & heart breaking also.

May your fiance rest in peace, just remember when you’re driving her car, she is sitting co-pilot.❤🙏
It doesn't seem like it was that long ago when she passed. I was very sad hearing about her. Great video as usual. See you later.
sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing your personal story. Keep up the fight and mulching away.
Appreciate how you take care of your equipment! It’s wonderful how you compliment your suppliers.
Fingers crossed Devin. Maybe there is one sitting on a shelf somewhere in bfe that your shop can acquire quickly. And yes, equipment is very costly to maintain, not to mention the new inflation tax we all are paying nowadays.
I'm so sorry to hear that, Devin

I am so sorry for your loss. Watch your uploads all the time. Nothing but the best for you. Peace from Florida.
Take the alternator to Coastal Rewinding off of Osceola. You're already in the area at Owens
Man that’s sad to hear about your loved one. I’m sorry for your loss.
Great to see you once again and even wqith all the issues you are currently having on your two major machines, that at least you were still able to finish this job. Hope you can at least get little Munchie welded and taken care of and running like she is surpposed to, while waiting for the altanatior for Big Munchie. God bless you always.
Glad you got some good news, and you have a plan to get back up and running. Sending you good thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

A qué se debió.
Sentido Pésame.
Alternators can be rebuilt if you really get in a bind.
Great video❤❤. I came back to watch what i didn't finish, nice clean up🎉🎉.
This is the first time I’ve seen you on the John Deer zero turn. It’s great seeing you on another piece of equipment. I still love big and little munchy!
Thanks for taking us with you, Davin.
Heavy equipment comes with a heavy cost to maintain and repair it. The hourly rates are for a reason. Still heartbroken over Misti. But her memory lives on and I am sure she would make you clean out her car ;) 😊
Thanks. You reminded me that I need to fire up my new Ferris ISX 2200 and mow my lawn. It’s pretty long. 🙂
Practically every alternator bought in an auto parts shop is rebuilt. Paying 3x or 4x and waiting 10 weeks is crazy! I'm sure the warranty company will approve a rebuilt one.
I would bring the alternator to an alternator shop..should be a piece of cake for a good shop.
Nice video Davin. Sorry about your loss of your fiancé Hope you get your machine back to working.
Nice work Devin and That Sucks about the alternator
The repair kit reminds me of my motorhome, air filter $200.00 ouch!
You could tie the grass discharge up when mowing tall grass to prevent clumping
Man, that Deere did a darn good job filling in for a bush hog! Impressive performance.
If its not one thing its another. Hopefully, everything will get resolved soon. Green monster did good.
Save the 5 Gal buckets for oil, and next service order barrel of your of your oil from Napa and it will only cost two oil changes and you'll have 15 gal of make up oil left.
Im so sorry for your loss 😢
After you grind off the old wield the bigger one is the right size 👌 😊
GOOD JOB ! ENJOYED
Davin take the part number off the alternator, to napa buddy you could possibly get a new one from napa or just get the bad one rebuilt, it would cost you but no warranty but youd be back up and running pretty quick
Have the old altenator rebuilt, maybe until the new one comes in. When the new one comes in, then you will have a spare.
You could rebuild a alternator faster than Cummins can get you one for sure 😅
If ASV is like Cat, they will occasionally have sales on fluids and filters that will undercut the prices on equivalent NAPA products. Find out when that is happening and stockpile for a year's worth of services.
I'm sorry for your loss as well
I missed the key detail at 3:00 on the timeline, thanks for the rewind!
So sorry for your loss. 😢
Tough year for equipment ... feel your pain.
For your jd check the gator blades ,they have hard surfacing on the bottom of the cutting side
So sorry for your loss.
I’m sure that there is an ASV dealer closer than this but, the Briggs Equiptment in Jacksonville fl, they are an ASV dealer, if so get them to send it up to your guy, a week tops

Good ending to a crazy start. I got Alex a equinox like misti
Sorry for your loss😢
If I were you and if this is a normal time frame to get an alternator, you should order 2 so you can have a spare just in case.
Damn, you look like a lawnmower ninja all dressed in black. If you’re looking to absorb all the suns heat black is certainly the right color.
Use the Equinox as your Sunday vehicle.
I'm surprised you can't weld
Order a spare alternator. Rebuild alternator in the mean time
Hi Devin & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Devin & Friends Randy
Bungycord that grass clippings shoot and X-blade that machine for jobs like that and you will like the results on regular jobs as well 🙃
You give those guys exposure sure they will take care of you
Wow. ^ grand on mini ex to fix AC. Now probably another 3 grand on big munch. Dude you have to make a ton of money just to keep things running. Good luck with it!
Good morning
Kinda looks like you could use a ventrak with a flail mower. Probably would've done it on a single pass and less dust.
I'm sure you have someone locally who could rebuild your old alternator.
Alternator shops are a thing of the past, sir. Especially the ones that have the computer chips in them like that ASV. The reason it's on back order is because of said chips.
There is one in Holly Hill near Daytona Beach the guy is awesome and can fix anything reminds of shops of the 80s.
You always ‘get ‘er done’. 😅
I hope this is it for your equipment issues.
It's really weird to see a video with you not in a cab.

Fantastisch Good work you the best te grasmaaien te famely te natuur te helpen best friend Top weekend 🚚🚜🌾🌿🎧🧤🧢😎😅🍹👍🌞🌳💯
When you're trying to size that tooth bass up are you kidding when you're doing that
Yep yep yep yep gotta spend money 💰 🤑 to make money 💰 🤑 😊
Hey, hawks gotta eat too ya know.
With all of these repairs, how are you making in money ?
Awesome
Can’t you just get the alternator rebuilt? They usually can fix them and it works out great and is cheaper.
Never will buy another John Deere,
Not now anyway ! They moved all their assembly out of country !
@@dgnorts Yea, waiting for them to change it to Juan Deere.
Oh dear!
Take the alternator to a rebuilder……
Nice Vid!
6 grand is what i meant
Hey um i think you still have a disk mulcher
Been watching you for a bit and had no idea. I'm so sorry man. I know you aren't looking for sympathy, but man life is a son of a bitch. I lost my daughter when she was 8. What a kick in the stomach. And we have to continue on living and working and moving. It's hard and it sucks lol
Maybe you should get a partner. You certainly have the work.
