APPALLED CITY INSPECTOR SAID "NO WAY!" MUNCHIE SAID "HOLD MY BEER!" EPIC CITY VIOLATION!

- The city inspector said "NO WAY" we could mulch down those azaleas in front of the home! But Little Munchie said "hold my beer" and took care of it no problem! This city violation was EPIC and the back was another funked up fence line that had to be mulched down too!

If the CITY wants to do a drainage upgrade ....THEY should prepare the site .. not the homeowner !
... and reinstate like it was after they have finished
Why remove the shrubs around the house for a drainage pipe that I am sure won’t be place next to the home?
This is how some city’s operate. Let the resident pay for right of way clean up so they don’t have to. Sad
City SMH
I agree I do a lot of drainage work in New England as a heavy equipment operator and I have never seen a job that the homeowner was responsible for the site ready for us !
Did anyone besides me notice how careful he was around the house? One false move and he coulda punched a hole in the brick work or smashed a window. Kudos to you guys, YOU DONE GOOD! 🤜🤛
crap work. those bushes would of looked amazingin full bloom they could of easily been pruned back 40% and kept the homes value up. instead they wasted a bunch of time removing vegetation for waht? so we could see a chain link ugly fence?
Wow, I’m impressed!! I kept waiting for a broken window when you were up against the house. Clearly you know what you are doing. Awesome job
It's funny how fast cities will issue out violations but when trying to get
anything completed from the city it can take months...
Seeing how these machines devour the landscape it gives admiration for the original settlers that did all this by hand in only a few years.
That looks like an easement and the homeowner shouldn’t be responsible for it
That’s a bunch of crap. Create a violation so the homeowner has to prepare the site for construction. The audacity of the public servants is really amazing! Trim it to code
this is a society of bullied children perpetuating bullying, corruption, and harm
I liked the shrubs. They just needed a trim.
Sad that the old azaleas were mulched vs trimmed to maintain curb appeal on the house.
Fantastic job! Opening it up like that keeps the mosquitos and other bugs away from the house! Also makes airflow around the place better! I could use a mulcher around the property here for a couple of weeks! Be well!
That mulching head was a thing of beauty. Very satisfying to watch.
Another perfect example of city govt. sticking it too the home owner ! Get a lawyer and send the bill to the city !
Yea, the city is probably charging the homeowners to remove the trees and shrubs in their drainage ditch plan.
Oh no not the Azaleas :(
My Grandfather always told me when planting a bush or tree, to put 2 or 3 half inch re-bar next to the trunk, so if a jerk decides to cut it down in the future they will regret it. He was a smart man.
I Love That!!!
Sounds like an ash hole
Your mulching job along the house was masterful. Windows, railings, even a dryer vent, all left totally intact, while clearing out the brush. Well done, sir!
So sad that every shrub next to the house had to be destroyed. 😭
Yes, instead of trimmed and pruned back. The house is going to be bare and naked. 😢
Um, whomever told these people they needed a $75K machine to remove that little brush in someone's yard is the best salesman in the world.
All the azaleas? Sad!
Right? They could be trimmed back and down not mulched
He said the owner wanted it done this way. Maybe they wanted a fresh start. Will the azaleas come back from the roots?
@@daydreambeliever6603 yes
It hurts me to watch you grind up those azaleas. That's something I would plant. All those needed was some simple hand pruning, preferably with something Felco.
Felco? You know your pruners. 👍👌
This machine and operator are simply amazing!
That is a really nice tool. I could put that to good use sprucing up my property over a weekend.
Interesting how the city has a drainage project so they slap a non-conform violation on the homeowner to save themselves work?
It’s too bad, those bushes out front weren’t terrible and might have been pruned to provide some barrier to the road.
That mulcher kit is a thing of beauty. Makes quick work of it.
So freaking awesome ! No killing yourself for hours, no Poison ivy, no unfriendly critters. this is definitely the way to go.
Robert at the Old Byrd farm should have called someone like you to deal with his wisteria problem.
The old bird farm Robert could use you guys believe me he has so much listeria and he doesn’t know how to take care of the yard like you guys would try and get in touch with him. I know one thing he sure would appreciate it. He’s a hard worker what is going in circles
Running a flail head 4 feet from the truck & around windows! Balls!!!!
Yeah it was a delicate operation
The area Munchie cut between the fences looked more like an easement and is the city’s property to maintain, not the homeowners. I would have contested the violation, especially since it was for city work. My city government is getting away with a lot of crp and people are tired of it!
That's the first thing I thought when he mentioned the city doing work through that area. However, I don't think that was the reason for the violation.
In many jurisdictions, contesting fines will only insure you get plenty more of them.... As an example, that house appears to have been empty for more than 30 days so it could be forced to be brought up to all current codes, costing more than the property is worth.. An easement is property someone owns, not the city. The owner has to maintain it, and can never use it for anything. Just about every jurisdiction has the same laws on it and the owner is responsible for all maintenance, even thou they can never really use it for anything... No one ever truly owns their property anyway. They just pay taxes on it for the right to retain it and do what the local jurisdictions says they have to do with it. And that has done nothing but get worse, practically everywhere....
Gee I can't imagine why He wanted all the azaleas mulched instead of trimmed oh it hurts my heart to watch that.
Me too, I bet it looked glorious when in flower 😢
Me too!!
Plot twist: Property is owned by the city. The city rents it to a disabled veteran and his elderly wife. The city needs to do some work on their property and sends an inspector. He arrives and notes the violations. The couple say that they are not able to keep up with the landscape due to their disabilities. The city then bills itself, forwarding it to the V.A. to be paid in full.
Thank you.
So you’re saying since I’m a veteran I can get free landscaping? Sign me up.
Why are they destroying the shrubs at the front of the house that has nothing to do with drainage for the city. They are up against the home & all it needs to prune a little bit. That's disgusting.
The owner wanted them gone. I do what I told.
@@idigit4967, and every one of those Azaleas will come back from the roots and start over looking nice in just a year or two if they want them.
You handle "Munchie" like you are frosting a cake. Great skill.
I had no idea how many azalea lovers were out there lurking on the web...
Never buy property where local govt has an easement across it.
I wouldn't want to live where azaleas have to be cut down. Of course I don't know the whol;e story but I really like flowering azaleas. In fact an hour away in Palatka they have an annual Azalea festival. Why not just trim them back?
If they’re overgrown I guess it would be considered a violation, but yeah, an azalea is a bush that you don’t mulch up. Take a foot off a year until it’s back in manageable size and they’ll be happy again
I was wondering this too. I know he’s just doing what the city asked, but why would the city want him to take out the Azalea’s just because they are overgrown?
Whole property was an eye sore.
Blatantly obvious it was poorly maintained.
I wouldn't want to look at that mess from my house.
The City doesn't care if you are old, sick or poor.
A shame, azaleas can be trimmed NO need to destroy them. :(
Great job I love the transformation you and AL Bladez do great work
This destruction of natural habitat was barbaric, and I'm not even a greenie.
Cutting those Azaleas like this is totally Insane They needed pruned and would have looked Beautiful if they will ever grown back will take 10 Years wow talking about the City devaluing that owners property value..... Oh that Drainage system getting installed by the City the Owner needs to get JUST COMPENSATION which is Mandated by the USA Constitution
that was not the city he allowed this machine to shear them off like weeds
@@bobcatwelder00 Theres no way in hell you will get me to believe a Homeowner would agree with this after letting them grow like that......
Likely old and on a fixed budget and no way to maintain them except by paying someone $$$ they don’t have.
@@truthboomertruthbomber5125 We dont know that.. Please dont assume that gives others the Wrong Impression....
@@TermitesRGood1 Maybe the owner just bought the place and is planning to flip it? Apparently the realtors advise people to not have bushes next to the house like that. But yeah, I would have just taken a hedge trimmer to them..
Impressive how you work around that soccer ball
My mother used to call these dirty weeds. Lol she would have been a munchie warrior for sure.ove watching how quickly you can clean up. Great fun. Made quick work for everyone. 😊
I used to put ribbon on every thing the home owner wanted to get rid of while in his presence while videoing. That way there wasn't any question. I've never had a problem then and could always go back to the video.
That machine would be good for mulching city inspectors.
I remember working at a car dealership back in the day they had land surrounding the the place they were going to expand onto. Well they had lots of small trees and big bushes like these in this video. They had a machine they called the billy goat they would use it to kind of street clean the lot plus it could cut high grass, mulch ect... It could eat darned near anyting 😂.
So wait the city or county violated this home owner to clear an area they were planning on doing a project on? Somehow that does not sound right to me...🤔
A lot of skill to get that close to windows and walls and keep debris from hitting glass. Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Why on earth does a town council get to say what you can and can't have in your garden? So much for the 'Land of The Free'.....
You get to vote
Can’t believe he wanted the azaleas cut down..we southern ladies would kill for those bushes😫
Azaleas Are messy.
All in all, you boy's did a very nice job on this overgrown yard.
I have never been so nervous watching one of these yard transformation videos as I am watching you mulch those azaleas right next to the windows... 😂
That mulcher attachment is pretty awesome.
Great job great video thanks
Lordy my goodness gracious! That was some precision mulching up by the house!
Yes it was!
Why on earth would you destroy an Azalea? Transplant them and save the beauty!
Odds are those plants had 2 or 3 years left. Also trend now is no bushes near house when selling now
The owner wanted them mulched to the ground
You use that munchie machine with the precision of a weed wacker next to the house! Amazing!!!
Ummm there’s a problem here… I would have retained an attorney for the simple fact… home owner is NOT RESPONSIBLE for upgrades per city .. and they CANNOT AND I REPEAT CANNOT force the home owner to do nothin other than keeping their personal lawn cut under 9 inches… what city is this in? Because I have something you might wanna hear.. my spouse happens to be the mayor of the city I live in and before then was 2 term city councilman…
Yeah the government in my area has lost its mind too. Property tax went almost 100% up in one year. And that was for everyone. And what timing seeing how this new " aquatic center " was passed without any vote.
Hot shot just because the city you live in has that regulation it does not mean every city in the US has the same thing.
When you were by the house I kept thinking "watch out for a water spicket" Great Job!
And the old lawnmower also
Lil munchie definitely in her element on that project. Nice precision work around the house IDig!
OMG that machine is a "BEAST" 👹🤣
I just stumbled upon your channel and your hat was all I needed to know that I found someone worth supporting.
That's an amazing machine. I don't think I've ever seen one out this way -- but then, we don't have such underbrush to get rid of.
Wow Munchie is amazing! That was a good job.
Don't think many viewers realize the man hours it would take to clear this much vegetation from this property. A simple York rake will clean up much of the wood chips & since most of the grinding was surface cutting, much of this will grow back. Nature always wins but it certainly cleaned up the lot quickly !
I don't understand why those azaleas weren't just pruned instead of demolished. What was the violation?
On a different comment, the poster said the homeowner asked him to clear everything away.
The owner wanted them mulched to the ground
No need, to pack Your Bags. Not a Guilt Trip, Poking Da Bear. LOVE YOUR WORK!!! I want One! 😂❤😂
Great skills, to look that smooth. Great vid, good content and editing too.
That mulcher is like an extension of your fingers. I can see you flexing and curling your 'fingers' over the overgrowth to see it disappear. Lots of skill you have man!
Thank you! I don't claim to be the best operator in the world but I appreciate the shout out!
If you cut the azerlas about 24" down and fert they will recover and the following they can be trim down 18"
I can’t believe that they wanted the azaleas mulched they are some beautiful bushes and flowers when they bloom my mom had them in front of her house and every year she was so in awe at how beautiful they were
They will probably come back
I really love watching you guys transform properties. I love the machines. Thank you so much. Makes me really happy. God Bless.
I would have appreciated having one of these to clean my room when I was a kid.
Just had a acre done,,guy did great job, some 4-6 inch trees and brush,, took less than 8 hours,,
Oh.... NOW you tell me there's a machine for that!!! After I spent two weeks removing my shrubs by hand. Well, at least now I know about that machine..... 'cause next weekend we've got to clean up my son's bedroom.
Always enjoy watching that munchie do its job. Love how you avoided that ball several times so as not to shred it.
So many of the bushes could have been shaped and saved
Owner wanted them mulched to the ground. I just do what I'm told lol
Not the Azaleas!
Fabulous control on Lil' Munchie as usual.
Just picking her way thru the azaleas. And chewing up the brush.
It's amazing the Control you have over this machine! I bet it would go thru poison ivy and electric cables and water pipes with ease. ... and fire ants and bee nests. great job.
Thanks for clearing those parasitic tree killing vines too.
Who made the Decision to mulch shrubs in front of the house? How is that a city violation?
And if making things look nice is not part of the equation, then why are they there at all?
Time lapse rocks, great transformation 💯🇺🇸💯
Thank you!
Excellent work. I dream of having my backyard transformed, it's such a wasteland.
Lacking an aesthetic sense. Destroyed a number of large azaleas that only needed pruning back. I’ve seen too many “landscapers “ clear away beautiful shrubs and trees. I only hope he leaves the dogwood on the corner.
Right? Like what kind of code prohibits beautiful permaculture in favor of European grasses that need dumps of poisonous chemicals one or multiple times a year? Disgraceful. Sure, it could have been tidier. This is gross though.
The owner wanted them cut down to the ground, I just do what I'm told LOL
I'd have tried to save the azaleas, but trimming them to knee height would look ugly for a couple of years compared to new plantings.
Looks great, that is an awesome machine. I agree if city wants it cleaned they should have to pay to do it or pay for “munchie”.
What an amazing piece of machinery , my street was completely over grown and the city used one of these and it looks amazing now
I doubt those azaleas were any code violation. So my question is why would the owner want to destroy them? They needed a little trimming is all.
I just love these surgical jobs. You can get tight up against different buildings and objects. It really proves Little Munchies worth. Great job as usual.
Yeah this mulcher really is a scalpel, great for jobs like this!
You handle that machine with ease. You are a professional for sure. I would never attempt to go within five feet of a house or fence b/c I would take them out for sure.
Thank you! I don't claim to be the best operator in the world but its nice to get compliments!
I have never seen one of these mulchers before. I watch your videos in amazement.
Yeah it seems like a lot of folks haven't seen one of these before and it amazes them too! Glad you enjoyed watching!
Wow. What a difference. Looks Great.
Why did they want such beautiful mature bushes removed? Takes forever for them to grow that big, just trim them.
I thought the same thing.
The owner wanted them gone, I didn't get a chance to ask why. But those azaleas arent dead they will start growing back soon.
I feel like I should be wearing safety glasses to watch this.
good vibe check mate
Nice transformation! 👍🏼
Always nice when you don’t hit all sorts of hidden debris and bust teeth. Load up in one piece and on to the next one
The amount of time that mulcher saves is incredible.
violation for what. Letting nature do what it does best.
I thought you were going to bust a window. You are a great equipment operator.
I heard that part too about the drainage, but I also heard him say that the house had lots of code violations, I imagine for over grown shrubs. Most cities have some type of codes for property maintenance. We had to call to complain about a local rental home that people moved out off and just trashed the yard with everything they did not take with them. It sounds unfair until you are the neighbor living near it.
That mulcher would make a great term limit voting machine for congress !!!!! 😂
That's awesome. I'd love to get my hands on such a thing to reclaim my fenceline.. But then again, if I had access to such a beast, I'm fairly certain I would no longer have a fence and a large repair bill... lol
Nice work!
Looked really good with all that "green" around it .... kinda sad looking after clean up
Guys keep the content coming! Love to see Munchie pulverizing thorny things…and all your other videos too by the way… knock ‘em out!
I so admire you as you press forward past monumental tragedy! You're in my prayers Bro! Mulch On! Blessings Bro!
