SONY TCM-465V Cassette Corder MINT Conditions

I bought this fantastic SONY TCM-465V Cassette Corder in absolutely Mint conditions on eBay. I love the way how the built-in Mic pops up.
While making this video I just noticed that the counter stopped working, so most probably I will need to replace soon the counter belt.
It has not any scratches, and it still smells like new.
Definitely a very nice piece to have.

I bought one also in mint condition with complete box. It was a great deal and i'm proud owner of it. Great mic, great speaker for 1998

I have one of those too ! In the box but not complete. I serviced it some years ago, I seem to remember I had to change both belts and the autostop mechanism no longer works: it is based on a clutch that it is supposed to slip at the end of the tape, but it has stiffened and the belt slips instead.

Yes, I have other couple of dictaphones and a walkman with the same issues unfortunately, but not able to fix it ((

@@macropathsoundscapes I think there is no way to fix it, plastic gears have shrunk over time and the clutch is stiffer then what it should be by design. Clutches do not age very well and they are one of the main sources of headaches in walkman's and recorders
