I want this flute for my arm workouts. I had to cancel my gym membership due to COVID. I need a lottery win though. Oh well. I guess the alternative is to make a flute out of tungsten which would probably be cheaper (by how much I do not know) , but I have no idea what that would sound like or if they even make them out of that material. The weight would probably be the same. I Googled tungsten flute and I could not find such a thing. Maybe not the greatest material to build a flute out of. Silver ftw.
It’s been so long since you made a 16 minute video!!! You’re definitely a gold player! That Haynes has a penetrating sound! I played Density 21.5 for my undergrad junior recital and it was fun to play!!!

I don’t love the 100% platinum sound, but platinum with silver delicious. My teacher plays a 998 Burkart with a platinum Burkart headjoint and her sound is AMAZING.

I’ve played that flute at the Flute Center. It’s very powerful! But I feel platinum has a “coldness” about it. I prefer gold or silver, or a platinum riser.
God I love the power of the platinum....it seemed to receive any amount of air so effortlessly. And btw I think I know your favorite word (disconcerting) ;)
I know that, this flute is amazingly unnecessary, just because I feel that I'm gonna be robbed, and anyways it is really heavy, I think it is impossible to play a whole concert on that thing. The robber got to be really strong to get it. So nice that you explain with all detail how it feels like to play it. You are a nice Flutist!! you have a Pro, original, and deep Sound. I love it!! Can you tell me if just a full plat headjoint would make a difference on a silver flute? l have a Powell
I have the muramatsu ptp. I've recently tried wooden headjoints in the ptp, and mmmm amazing! It helps with flexibility :)

Oh yes, I have played that flute. It is very robust and not overtly resonant. I like the balance of it.
